  1. Samantha's constant, inane, laughing over nothing is the absolute worst.

Joe looks disgusting, and acts disgusting, and is disgusting.   These women are nutso!

Carly is getting kind of scary.  I think Kirk was pretty stupid to act SUPER attached to this woman to only try and back out now, but no matter what kind of signals he was giving out, Carly was just wide-eyed, laughing, and taking every single thing as a green light.  It's like when Clare tried to reject Mike.

Passive aggressiveness doesn't work with the delusional.   You have to be really firm and just say no.  Unfortunately this show is a pack of assholes who doesn't want to do that in fear of missing out on The Rose.

I had never seen Aloha, Mexico! before so that was really entertaining.  Meghan is a beautiful girl so that brain is really unfortunate.

  2. Molly is referenced in popular Rihanna and Miley Cyrus songs.  I feel like it's referenced all the time in pop culture.  I Google'd it and it seems like the height of the references was 2013.

Juelia is ripped so much for leaving her child at home but so many of the people in this cast are also parents yet seem to get off scot-free.

Obviously he dials up his Southern Gentleman persona for Samantha Who next week.

    Hahahhahaa.

  3. Tenley has darker hair.  Clare has a weird mouth, the teeth are uneven and her face looks plastic, oh and she's annoying as fuck.  She's always singing everything she's thinking.   (Although I can totally see the idea that she's 'better looking' than Tenley -- Clare has a more television ready/pageant face.)

Ashley I.'s personality is the worrrrrrrrrrrrst.  It's like a crazy 13 year old's, and 13 year olds are already crazy.  I can't hear her say "solidify" anymore.

  4. It makes me really sad that someone with a face as beautiful as Ashley I.'s could have a brain that is that fucking stupid.

People hype up Ashley Onion's looks so much, but that is a very, very, very run of the mill "look" to me.  Like every woman who has entered a beauty pageant since I've been born kind of face.  That kind of look is so boring to me and of course her personality helps not at all.  Does she even care about dating a human?  Not sure why she's on this show when she doesn't seem interested in human interaction.

Ashley I.'s sister was kind of hilarious I like how she cried and hated everyone.

Clare just looks like plastic surgery to me

  5. I also don't buy that these two hot guys are so in love with the unwashed, unkempt, Rachel. I'm also just going to say it. She has the body of a 12-year-old boy and her bags under her eyes have their own bags. I'm just not buying it. IRL men who look like Adam and Jeremy go for girls as hot as they are. I feel like this is just a ploy to make women want to watch the show, because all average women want to think they can score good-looking studs. Average-looking-woman scores hot guy is a major formula in most chick flicks. I don't think the reasoning of why Rachel has these two idiots fighting over her is more complicated than that.

There is something very sexy/sexual about Shiri.  And she's darker, non-white and she's way, way more my 'type' than Freddie Stroma or Jeremy.  Jeremy is wallpaper personified.  I look at him and see and feel nothing.   Freddie is okay but I wasn't attracted to him until he really made that fantasy 'proposal' to Rachel.  Then I was totally hooked in.  To me Grace and Faith are traditionally attractive but there is something very sexy about Shiri I can't put my finger on.  She's more vivacious than Freddie/Jeremy in my opinion.  (Sorry for using character and actor names interchangeably, sometimes it causes complaints but honestly, it shouldn't.)

  6. There's only one thing to do in my head, if Rachel does not pick what Adam says, then she is a moron, and I see no other possible avenue.  Not: 'choosing herself'; how would you not want to have fun all over the world with that money; it is a fantasy and a half.  Sorry for the vodka talking.   Freddie Stroma is finally somewhat making me a fan with that last scene.

  7. Ben Z. has really crawled up in my estimation of who should be Bachelor.  He's super hot but he also has a weird genuine way of acting like he doesn't know he's super hot.  That's a rare find.  Ben H. always looked panicked and/or dead in the eyes.  He's just not camera-ready.  Peter Brady face notwithstanding.

I could watch an entire show of just those arrogant comments Ian made about himself ON LOOP.  They are endlessly hysterical to me.  I'm going to YouTube hoping that people have put together montages for me.

"I can't believe Kaitlyn is not interested in a Princeton grad who is a former model who defied death (did he say dozens of times)?"  Hilarious!

  8. Exactly.  THAT is her Jam.  She dates Hockey players, for craps sake!  Loud, testosterone-fueled and full of righteous indignation at any guy bold enough to do his woman before him.  That is Shawn, and that is the kind of man she wants. She's made that crystal clear.

Okay , the entire country where I'm from plays hockey so I'm really not used to reading such a broad brush being applied to all hockey players like this....   I'm guessing Shawn is an American guy who doesn't play hockey, either...

  9. I still can't get over that one moment where Kaitlyn was in NYC and looked towards the camera like a Hungry Wolf - eyes gleaming, all wild, mouth all crazy Julia Roberts style - exclaiming "It's NIIiiiiiiick!"

That's the most excitement Kaitlyn has shown over anything this season.  I think she's picking Shawn because he's technically hotter, that's it.  And he is, I agree.  (I know it's subjective).  But she obviously has a lot of chemistry with Nick and I think picking Shawn is kind of weird.  He's hotter than she is, too, and I think she doesn't want to let this "prize" go.  They just don't seem like a good 'couple' to me.

  10. Shawn's body was so incredible and Nick's lisp was so ????  that I switched my alliances towards them again.  Not that it really matters.  Poor Nick.  Can't he see a speech therapist or a proper ortho.  I feel for the kid.  I don't even know why.  Apparently he's trying modelling and when you don't have to hear him speak he doesn't look that bad at all.

Ben H. is acting so strange this episode.  His eyes are completely blank and he's not sure where he is or with whom.

Look Jared is a sweetie but let's be real.  Straight up I just think he's too physically small to be The Bachelor.  Sigh, that's wrong of me I know... I'm the one who desperately wants someone non-white to be cast!  Too bad Ian had to take that idea and implode all over everybody.

  11. This show is so stupid and yet I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would.  This has been the most interesting episode so far.  I actually got through it easily.

I thought without Alyssa I would just quit the show but I, disgusted with myself, carry on.

That woman who plays the blonde wife who is really sick is just the worst actor, even worse than Joss.

I was interested to see what Jennifer Esposito would bring to the table but the answer seems to be nothing :(

  12. I guess this episode just made me that much more confident that what Breeda Wool did last week was Emmy-worthy.

This show is way too dark for me, and yet I'll stick with it.  Hard to explain why.  I treated it almost like radio this week and did my laundry the entire time without really looking.  It was that crazy.  I love to read about it after and be 'with it' and know all about the show of the summer, LOL.

Mixing extremely dark themes with extremely spotty acting is such a weird cocktail.  It's kind of got elements of a show that could really work  mixed with elements of the most horrible show ever.  And it's that combo that keeps confusing us into coming back for more!

  13. Count me in as another person who thought Shawn seemed okay until this episode, where now I am firmly Team Nick.  Shawn is scary and no redeeming qualities left.  Just a bunch of angst and ew.

Nick looks like a grand prize with Shawn around to make him look better.  Love how incredibly secure Nick is when it comes to the other guys.  He clearly doesn't give a shit and acts it.  I wish I could be so mellow when everyone around me is talking shit.

Why does Ick find it necessary to cover his face and mouth with his hand whenever he talks? Does he think he can avoid the microphones that way? Does he not know about the captioning? He reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Jerry and George were trying to have a private conversation in front of Marlee Matlin.

Having said that, this above was just hysterical.

Jared was never more attractive to me than this episode.  If we could pretend the show doesn't exist, Kaitlyn and Jared make an adorable couple, and she seemed like a better, sweeter, more fun, more capable version of herself around him.

Joe creeped me out, sorry, I can't really explain what was going on but the entire thing was weird.  Then again, no idea why K. liked him or kept him around in the first place.

Coming around very strongly on Ben H. and he gets my vote for next Bachelor.

To provide a perspective of someone who's watching her first season, I am enjoying the show and I think Kaitlyn is just fine.  I like how she handled Joe just fine, I liked how she was a regretful mess after she sent Sweet Jared home, I loved how she handled Shawn's stalker tendencies.

Shawn weird. Kaitlyn boring. Nick odd in some way I can't put my finger on just yet

Sums up everything so perfectly not much else needs to be said

  14. Whore's Bath; I think they used that phrase on Happy Endings.  A friend used that phrase with me in college about 10 years ago.  That was new to me at the time too.

There is a band called Meat Puppets that was formed in 1980.  Kurt Cobain was a fan of them and played music with them, and covered their songs.

  15. A lot of people are assuming Kaitlyn slept with Shawn because he's acting stalkery/hurt/Stage 5 clinger.

You know there are people out there who stalk and act clingy, and this is even with zero involvement from their object of desire.  I'm just putting that out there.  When you're the target of that, it's really aggravating when people assume that you were physical with this person and that's why they're so attached.

Obviously this is not the exact same thing because Kaitlyn has shown feelings (I guess?) towards Shawn.  We don't actually know what she even said to Shawn, whether she actually said "You're the one".  It was NOT on camera.  A lot of things are being assumed here, but if I am to believe Shawn he seems 100x more into the 'relationship' than Kaitlyn does.  Kaitlyn seemed to be having a lot of fun until Shawn kept showing up at her doorstep and guilting her every 5 seconds.

  16. I don't want to label her with a derogatory word, but I think few women are supposedly dating 8 other men, telling them what a great connection she has with each of them, and (secretly) having sex with a couple of them, but not letting the other men know about it.

This is the actual premise of the show you're watching.  This is like me watching Project Runway and being upset that the designs are being criticized, or watching Survivor and being upset that people are being voted off of an island.

  17. I thought the actor playing Faith was really brilliant.

The lines in the "Previously, on UnREAL" clip at the top of the episode were so mega cheesy.  It was just exposition.  I think one of Shia's lines was literally "That's Chet (Whatever).  Creator of Everlasting.  Big Kahuna."  OMG.

Shira Appleby also does much better than the dialogue would lend her.  Why was Craig Bierko hired for this?

  18. Adam and Rachel are terrible people—they deserve each other. But if they get together, what happens in season 2? Stupid conflict to keep them apart, like the sequel to Bridget Jones's Diary?

Ok come on.  Both BJD and the sequel to BJD are based on Jane Austen novels.  I really do love those books.
