  1. Is it just me or does the woman in the photo above look nothing like Karen/Megan Mullally. Did she have work done? Is that what she looks like now?
  2. This in the recap summed it up for me: "You can't just throw in a non-canonical EVIL sister in Season 4! I didn't grow up reading Sherlock Holmes stories to suddenly be saddled with a sister! This is not okay! Not okay but I will still watch. Blurgh.
  3. I finally watched the episode. For the love of God people STOP USING YOUR FINGERS to level the sugar, flour, etc! I believe the producers are on my side as they went from Johnny saying how they need to be very technical and exact and they cut away immediately to someone using their finger to level off a tablespoon of sugar. I was yelling Stop It to the TV by the end of the episode. You've got knives, spatulas, rulers and a dozen other little specialty thingies and you use your fingers. STOP! Thank you for letting me vent.
  4. I thought the private investigators in the hotel lobby were actual Scientologists and not just hired out of the phone book. That's why they would 1) have no problem intimidating and 2) be sucky at their jobs. TMZ could sue for slander. With regards to the forced abortions - I am amazed that the U.S. Congress doesn't go after them for this. There are hearings and reports that raise the issue of forced abortions in China and there are Members of Congress that frequently attack China on this one issue alone. I am amazed they aren't up in arms about ones happening in this country. Limiting access to birth control and then forcing those who get pregnant to have an abortion is disgusting and sick.
  5. Thank you for mentioning the Vulture article as I hadn't seen it. I am so grateful for these segments. "We're all f***ing tuned!" Indeed.
  6. Oddly enough watching that was like a palate cleanse after the Trump clips yesterday.
  7. It occurred to me this morning that the part of the debate last night where Secretary Clinton listed all the things that Trump did not support by not paying taxes (if that's what he's hiding in the return) could be the start of a Jed Bartlett / Sorkin-esq speech on why we need taxes - schools, vets, infrastructure, etc.
  8. Agree. I didn't know he was a producer on the show until reading this and that pretty much ended it for me.
  9. That was an absolutely fabulous game time. Rob Hartman you are incredible.
  10. I too googled Kate Middleton coloring book in the midst of the podcast. Thanks for that. Also, I'd like to suggest "Sugar High: Liv, the Lost Episodes and Outtakes" if you're ever short a mini.
  11. I so remember that McDLT commercial to the point where I was singing along.
  12. And who can forget Ayds the diet pill that looked like chocolate candy. Every teenage girl in the late 80's, eating disorder or not, was familiar with that brand if only because of the name.
  13. Thank you Sarah for talking about watching Untucked instead of RuPaul's Drag Race. as the same argument can be made for listening to the Again with This podcast instead of watching the shows. :)
  14. On listening without watching. I've debated if I should listen or watch first and have done both, it's all based on my schedule. However if I end up listening to the podcast first I sometimes get so annoyed with the stupidity I can't subject myself to watching it. For this episode I almost didn't watch it based on the title of the episode alone. If they moved the show to 10 pm just so they could make all these dumb Jane in a Box jokes it wasn't worth it.
  15. I was surprised that Leah had a harder time explaining "see no evil..." than the Apocalypse or famine.
  16. This episode made me think there is something wrong with the color on my TV because the two brightly colored outfits in the top three did not look good to me.
  17. Is it me or did it seem like every woman on the show was over dressed? Usually it's just the celebrities but this week the civilians too. That was a painful episode even before the final round. When they flubbed Courtney Cox I fast forwarded to the end because I couldn't watch that for another minute, once I saw that she won I had to go back and figure out how that was even possible. I would have chosen the Florida / Georgia guys for the final round because they write songs together (this I learned from the opening I'd never heard of them before.) I figured that they would have been able to collaborate and not talk over each other. Turns out that talking over each other wasn't the problem in the final round this week. Ciara's synapses kicking in was the best part of the episode.
  18. Does anyone else have a problem with The Number 17? Nowadays every time someone says "17" I have this strong urge to say "the spread eagle."
  19. This is not one to listen to if you don't want people asking you why you spit out your coffee because you are laughing so hard. Poor Mark.
  20. We only watched the pilot but liked it so far. I thought the best part was Alfred Molina and the chase scene. You weren't kidding about the lifting of Zucker Abrams Zucker gags. Some of them are the exact same jokes - the man hands showing up during the boxing sequence; the drawings in art class; the offering of more and more elaborate food from the Mayor's wife. And those are just the ones I could remember the next day. I guess recognizing all of that makes me old or having seen Airplane! one time to many.
  21. I was surprised not to actually hear The Final Countdown as the opening music. It gets stuck in my head every time I read the title of the podcast episode.
  22. I remember watching this too! For me though no early Clooney viewing is complete without Rosanne.
  23. I've never been so tense watching an episode of Jeopardy. I yelled "YES!" when the category Oscar Nominations was announced and again when Alex read the Lou Gehrig movie question.
