  1. That’s a tiny bit of what the news story would have been if it was a real interview. That’s why I don’t think she will ever make the team. Honestly, I think it’s fair game. It was shown on a tv show and seems to be a fair edit of what happened. I’m surprised it didn’t blow up more. Maybe it will now.
  2. I’m not trying to get too far off topic, but this is information. The thing with the players kneeling was addressed a bit on the Amazon original show about the cowboys called all or nothing. It’s from 2017 I think. The cheerleaders were also shown a bit as were Kelli and Charlotte is shown in several key roles. They go to the grandson kids high school football game too.
  3. I got spoiled about Erica’s cut last year and was so shocked about it I went to the spoilers. I understand wanting to not be spoiled and that’s fair. i don’t agree that the discussion of Victoria is unwarranted though. She’s been featured in every episode. She even had more to say about the first girl getting cut, than the cut girl did herself. This episode, for example, we’ve barely seen any of Taylor all season and then she’s gone. But how much did we see Victoria, and she wasn’t even cut? Victoria is shown a disproportionate amount and it’s made the show unbalanced. I prefer knowing more about several girls than just one. They seem to finally be addressing that a bit. I'm guessing if you go back and watch, you might be surprised how much Victoria is shown compared to others. I think that’s what creates the view she’s being “shoved down our throats” that some people have developed.
  4. Kelli used to be about the theme of a girl bringing her best, challenging herself to be better, and always improving the team. I haven’t heard that sentiment the past two years.
  5. Victoria has been losing fans after it’s so obvious she should have been cut. I’ve said a few times that the season makes Kelli look weak and verging on incompetence as a director. That’s made me not like the season, because I liked to see Kelli and Judy as women managing a team. It was one of my favorite aspects of the show.
  6. Age doesn’t relate to major news stories in my opinion. The reason women should know about this because it’s a movement started by women focused on stopping sexual assault and harassment. #metoo is supporting women to come forward as well and share their experiences. (It’s not what I would think of as a health issue like PPV for example.) Not knowing about the movement is a clear indication that someone doesn’t know the news. This story has been impossible to miss if you pay any attention at all to the world around you. Major entertainment figures like Harvey Weinstein were huge news stories and many men lost jobs because of sexual assault and harassment . I’m personally surprised that anyone hasn’t at least heard of this news. It seems that Kelli was as well. She was ready to cut Taylor right there. They can’t take any risks with such an ignorant and uninformed girl who only checks Instagram. Honestly, I bet she doesn’t ever make the team.
  7. By the way, I checked the #metoo on Instagram and there are 1.4 million posts with it.
  8. I thought about Victoria as camera fodder except that almost every scene with her and Kelli makes Kelli look ineffective as a leader of the DCC. You may be right. Im going to look back at other seasons where a girl was used just for camera time. I’m trying to think of good examples.
  9. That was Travis Wall. He seemed to think he could easily have cut 9 girls there and then. I wish they showed who he would have cut.
  10. I made the mistake of going back and watching tryouts. I had forgotten Charlotte and Kelli reaction to Victoria falling out of her turns was “awww.” Its no wonder she has this terrible attitude. She has been getting a pass on everything. I wonder what her score from the judges really was - we know Jay gave her maybe and the weather guy a maybe or a no. i agree the weight gain has to be affecting her dance, it’s so visible even when she’s sitting and talking.
  11. I couldn’t agree more. The editing has been disjointed and choppy and, as you said, even nonsensical. It seemed like Kristen was cut and then somehow she wasn’t cut. I don’t think Jinelle looked bad. All she said was professional and calm. I believe she truly wanted to help Victoria and put time and effort in to do so. But youre right, the edit lacked the outrage of Kelli and Judy on Jinelle’s behalf or even explaining Victoria’s dishonesty. It didn’t really back up Jinelle doing her job well and getting ignored.
  12. I watched the afterbuzz show for this episode and they are saying that Victoria should have been cut before Taylor. They were fans of Victoria before and not fans of Dayton. (After Dayton was cut they even asked if they were rooting for Dayton to come back, which was mean, but they said they were.) interesting thing. The week 9 episode was taken down, which had to be due to something they had said. They re-recorded it a 15 minute episode about episode 9 wearing the exact same clothes as the episode 10 clothes. in the re recorded video they mention that they had something more to say, but they weren’t going to. No idea what that was. im not sure how much I reccomend the after buzz show. There are two former pro team dancers on the show and they are fine at giving a little insight. ( Like they commented how great it would be to work wirh all the guest choreographers, even if you don’t make the team, because where else would you get the chance to do that as a dancer.) The third women isn’t as knowledgeable and can’t even keep the girls names straight. She calls Judy, Julie. It makes me think she doesn’t really take it seriously as a job.
  13. I thought when Victoria said she looked to people that have struggled with weight she meant her Mom. I can see her mom being upset it’s the Jinelle offer of help. When Jinelle first offers to help and Kelli says “deal?” , Victoria agrees and seems happy enough. I feel that she is comfortable enough with Kelli to say right there that she wants someone else. Possibly she thought it was all a show for tv and not something she was supposed to do? I dunno. The whole exchange is confusing due to the highly edited nature of the scene. I don’t see how she could gain 11 pounds in training camp and think she’s going to be ok on the team without some sort of belief that she will make it no matter what she does.
  14. I think she was deliriously happy with how great the girls looked on the field and how fast they got the triangle. I was impressed by them too. They may be the fastest learners ever as a group in training camp.
  15. Maybe there is more to come? My guess is that at cameos she doesn’t fit the uniform and that’s the end of the road finally for Kelli. Victoria doesn’t have any help from a retired all-star cheerleader now that she dumped Jinelle. Can you imagine how many TCCs would have loved a chance to work with Jinelle? Pretty much everyone other than Victoria I’m assuming.
  16. I watched the episode again and Taylor was also the girl that said training camp was “treacherous.” I agree that it’s a shame but I really blame her. That was a question she could have easily answered if she bothered to know anything about the news. They are looking for reasons to cut girls and she was the worst Kelli has ever seen at the media questioning. Then, talking about it with Kelli, she just made it worse. Maybe she will start paying a bit of attention to the world around her now, but I don’t have high hopes. i wonder if she will come back. I wonder how many rookies they will need next year. This year it seems they need at least 15 rookies, because there are 21 vets. If a vet gets cut, then that will go up. Next year, who knows how many spots will be open?
  17. I had no idea the group leaders had input into picking the team, outside of answering some questions about individual girls over the years.
  18. So I’m trying to listen to the latest podcast and I find it impossible to listen to. I even tried fast forwarding through it, but it’s just too little substance for me. I did hear Lacey say she will retire. Molly first said that she wanted two years and gone, but may change her mind. I found them unable to coherently tell a story. I know other people like it, but maybe I expected a more professional podcast.
  19. I know they had vets evaluate them, but I don’t know all their initials. Were there other choreographers as well? Are there other screenshots of the entire board. I watched it on my iPad and it’s hard to see them all. I remember older seasons more than I remember episodes from a month ago.
  20. Not at all. The girls call it media training and I think Kelli may have even said “media training” later. But they don’t actually receive any training and never have in any of the years I’ve watched. I was just pointing out that Kelli isn’t describing it as a training, compared to the social media training they get, for instance. That’s actual training with advice and directions on how to behave, which it seems the girls need. It would be much better if they had training first, but I think Kelli wants to use it as an evaluation technique in her arsenal. That said, I think Taylor did herself in by saying her news is Instagram. That had to seal her cut with Kelli.
  21. Kelli called it “media simulation” when she’s describing it at the beginning of the episode. It’s really a test or evaluation, not a training.
  22. In the scene a couple weeks ago with Nick and Kitty, they were putting stickers on the girls they think are top 36. So I think each sticker means the girl got a yes from that person. its a pretty smart system actually.
  23. At the end of the show Kelli said etiquette training and cameos are coming up. The description has been wrong before. It’s frustrating for sure.
  24. Ok, for reference, the 4 people cut, rather swiftly in season 10 were Kayleigh, Courtney, Selina and Kendall. Selina said she had never even been called in. With Kayleigh, Judy said they didn’t have a clear reason so they went with their gut. It’s season 10, episode 7, the cutting board. oh, going back into the episode they also cut a girl called Taylor, she had tight low kicks in the same episode. So thats 5 cuts in one episode almost at the last day of the season.
  25. I think the consensus may be building that Victoria should have been cut this episode. The favoritism of her not getting cut for ignoring help they gave her compared to them cutting Taylor after one big mistake (and Kelli said she didn’t trust Victoria on appearances either) is getting impossible to ignore. Thanks. I’ve never seen season 2. It’s not on Amazon. I’m going to take a quick look at season 10.
