  1. Why Madison deserves a lot of credit. 1. She's stayed out of drama the entire season. 2. She's a virgin and this has not been the major talking point of the entire season. This could be b/c there was so much other drama going on, however I respect the fat that this hasn't defined her. (cough, cough, Colton) 3. Her sheer skill in basketball makes me respect her immensely. I don't follow basketball in anyway, but I do respect someone who's clearly dedicated their life to a craft. She completely showed up Peter and I think that's damn amazing. 4. It's clear her family puts immense pressure on her, so far she's carried it well and I hope she gets the opportunity to explore life outside that kind of pressure. I think she's too young to be the Bachelorette, but I wouldn't hate it if she was. This is coming from someone who couldn't be more opposite than Madison lol.
  2. Okay, so here's my theory for the rest of the season. I truly think that the producers were unaware of all the negative press that Victoria F. was going to get while the show was on the air. They may have been aware of some of it (not all of it) but also thought it wouldn't blow up the way it did. Considering the air time, the emotion, the group dates she won, I think it's pretty clear that they were positioning her to be a major candidate for Bachelorette. Now that doesn't seem to be possible. They showed more of Peter's mom's performance of the year, and really the only 2 people she could be saying that for is either Hannah Brown or Madison. Everyone else she simply doesn't know. So all together my theory is this. Things come to ahead unexpectedly with Victoria F during hometowns. Victoria F and Peter break up. Since this is the season of comebacks, during the proposal time either Victoria F or Hannah Brown come to speak to Peter, my money is on Hannah Brown. The mom gives the big emotional speech, ultimately he picks Madison. This leaves Hannah B. still an option for a 2nd Bachelorette season since there is no fan favorite from this season.
  3. The only one I can think of is Sean Lowe. Other than that, I can't think of any from Bach, Bachelorette or BIP. Certainly none with a black male or a black female.
  4. Natasha definitely seems to be one of the most charismatic girls in the house. She's really the only one that I could see myself being friends with in real life. However, Rachel Lindsay's season was one of the lowest rated in the recent franchise history. So I highly doubt that she'd get to be series lead. Rachael was a fan favorite from the beginning of Nick's season and got a lot more air time than Natasha. I would definitely say that Rachel seems to be one of the most successful post show, with her jobs with MTV, Extra, and ESPN, so who knows.
  5. Funny how they did not do that with Normani... I hope the subtext of that is heavily implied...
  6. Also did I hear right? Val and Jenna choreographed the Pitbull and Neyo number? It's cool to hear pros are doing choreo for cast numbers again, I feel like that rarely happens.
  7. Kel's freestyle was one of the best freestyles this show has ever had, and IS the best hip hop dance this show will ever have. It was better than most of the hip hop on SYTYCD. It really shows the kind of person Kel is that he brought his community on the stage. He was always good humored and good spirited. The freestyle also showcased versatility of Whitney and what a person can do when they are truly cross-trained and talented. No other female pro could have pulled off that dance in IMHO. I agree however, that she should have chosen a different dance for the repeat dance, a number Kel perhaps got a 28-29 on, so he can show his improvement in ballroom. Regardless, I think Hannah would have won b/c Bach Nation is strong voting base. The only issue I have with Hannah winning is that like.... there's just no break with her in the foreseeable future. Now she's going to be a major storyline on Peter's season? It's just like... there is such a thing as media saturation and I just don't care to see her anymore. At this point she would have been a major storyline in every ABC reality show for the past year.
  8. I'm no Hannah stan, but are we really going to call her a whore for taking an opportunity that A. majority Bachelorettes weren't even offered and B. Almost all bachelors (and Joe the Grocer) have done and none have made it to the finals? Again, not a fan, but I'm not going to blame her for capitalizing on her 15 minutes...
  9. LOL'ed at this as I'm not a Jenna fan either but actually kinda liked her with Sean. She seemed pretty honest with him when she said "you're doing better, even though there's a lot wrong," or something to that effect. And actually thought she looked beautiful in that pale pink sequenced dress in the 2nd routine. My biggest bone with Ally is that I'm sorry but she's not even in the same league as Normani as far as I'm concern and I feel like Normani had to work HARD for her 10's and the judges were super critical of her the entire season. I find Ally's dancing, and even the choreography, pretty mediocre. That's not a critique on Sasha, as I think he's choreographing for his partner. Moreover, Ally's constant, profuse, nagging for people to like her makes her highly unlikable, even if it is genuinely her personality. Kel, James, Hannah for top 3. Kel or James for the win, even though I'm rooting for Kel. Oh, I also liked Joey as a judge. When they announced the theme, I hoped they would have asked Mel B. to be a judge and was thoroughly confused when they said it was Baby Spice. I was like... why ask Baby when she was never a contestant lol. Scary and Maks is one of my fave OG couples.
  10. Thank you. I'm sorry but all I thought while I watched Lauren and Gleb's contemporary was "wow... Gleb is really not trained in Contemporary." I felt for her emotion, but her producing complete distracted me from it, as she she seemed to have the longest pre-dance video package. I have a heart, but the dance didn't do anything for me. As someone who watched both All That and Keenan Kel, as well as Dawson's Creek and Don't Trust the B in Apt. 23, I'm happy that Kel and James appear to be 2 of the better dancers. They'll be getting my votes for the rest of the season.
  11. Correct me if I'm wrong, but after a few weeks of Tamar getting an edit of being a difficult contestant/partner, Val was very vocal that he was not having that at all with producers. Now, granted, that could be very self-serving since she was his partner and he wanted to go to the finale. However, I think that if Tamar was actually as bad as the show was making her out to be, he wouldn't have stuck up for her. Val's always been pretty transparent when he could take or leave a partner (Elizabeth Berkley for example).
  12. If I was being 100% honest with myself, I would watch a StageCoach reality show lol. Music Festivals are MESSY drama-filled places. Obviously not Fyre Festival level drama, but just think about all the T that's at Coachella, StageCoach, etc. It'd be a great show.
  13. This whole BIP season, and Hannah's season is really solidifying one fact for me. I will most likely not be watching The Bachelor this season. This whole Derek storyline is clearly an angle to see how the audience feels about him. While I think he's a nice guy, very Ben Higgins-esque, I also found Ben's season to be boring and have no interesting in reliving it. Although to Ben's credit, I don't mind him now and listen to his podcast occasionally. I do feel bad however that this whole Demi storyline is being done at Ben's expense and if she had a boyfriend at home and wanted to bring him on the show, she would absolutely be a villain. To me the only way this would have worked is if 2 girls (or guys) from Bachelor Nation expressed interest in each other and BIP purposefully casted them to be on the same season w/ each other to see if they hit it off. Let's be clear, I'm all for representation, but when historically the "relationship at home" has always made someone a villain on a season, no matter how upfront someone was about it in the beginning, I'm really baffled as to why the show decided to do this. The only thing that makes sense to me is that they really wanted Demi, and since Demi had the upper-hand she told them, my girl is coming on the show or I'm not. It really gives validity to Tanner's tweets last week. Back to my main point, I have no interest in watching a Derek lead season unless the cast of women is really well done. I REALLY have no interest in watching a Pilot-Pete season, he seems like such a goober to me, even if he can go 4 rounds. Maybe a Mike Johnson season but according to his latest interview with Lauren Zima, he's had no serious conversations about becoming bachelor. Tyler C seems perfectly content with ABC Food Tours and Gigi Hadid, but I would watch a Tyler season. Honestly my ideal Bachelor would be Peter Kraus, if they wanted to pull an "Ari" with a former contestant.
  14. I'm here for JPJ and Tayshia. JPJ's earnestness brings out a really wonderful side of Tayshia. Makes me think the trailer showing JPJ yelling at Derek has to be about Tayshia in some way...
  15. Is the show that Keke’s been cohosting with Michael Strahan also on ABC? Completely agree about the treatment of black woman on the show, but I question if they would do that to someone on the same network. It would be like them giving a bad edit to Ginger Zee, then going on Good Morning America with her lol.
  16. I think we've all watched what "mean girl attacks" look like on reality TV, whether it be Women Tell All, Real Housewives, etc. whether the attack is coming from 1 person or a group of girls, I just don't accept that is what Tayshia was doing. Maybe Tayshia and Hannah G. have a frenemy type of relationship, heightened by the circumstances of BIP but if someone: 1. Calmly asks you if you 2 can talk. 2. Takes you to an area that is not surrounded by others/ an audience. 3. States I'm currently in this situation that could have been mitigated if info was given to me upfront. 4. Allows the other person to say their piece. Then i just can't imagine how Tayshia could have handled that any better. I do agree with another poster that said that Hannah has probably had very few experiences in her life where she's been confronted, but in no way do I think Hannah was attacked. In terms of cock blocking, it's not like Hannah lives in a major city. Blake flew to a VERY specific location to soley see Hannah in order to demonstrate how serious he was about her (Hannah's words to Dylan). If Blake then decides to date Hannah's friend, right in front of Hannah and America, then why would she have any loyalty to Blake? He's shown his true colors, so just be honest about it. Blake cock blocked himself lol.
  17. Can we address how Hannah felt like she was "attacked" by Tayshia and thought Tayshia was a "mean girl" b/c Tayshia confronted her about Blake. So Tayshia attacked you because she calmly pulled you to the side and told you how she felt? What exactly was she supposed to do? Granted she did speak to others about it but from the way it was portrayed, she said her piece to get her feelings out and got her head together before confronting Hannah about it. Girl you let your supposed friend go on a whole date with some guy who flew out to see you the week before and didn't find it necessary to tell her the background information.I would feel super played if I was Tayshia. I think the whole format of the show needs to change because everything is become too calcualted, with people trying to manufacture storylines before the show has even started. Blake tried to put all his eggs in one basket and now they're hatching and he can't deal. Now the majority of the storylines has something to do with the ripple effect of it and it's kind of annoying. BIP is supposed to be about how all these different people intersect, now how 1-3 people have an effect on all these other people, that's what the Bachelor/ette is for...
  18. Reactions to tonight’s episode: 1. I’m not mad at Dean being on the show. I can always respect someone who knows and accepts the role they play. I think after his failed relationships, he changed some things in his life, he knows who he is in Bachelor Nation, and rolls with it. I think outside the show he’s had some interesting takes on the franchise. I listened to his interview with him and Ben Higgins and while I didn’t agree with everything, he helped shed some interesting light on the Blake/Caelynn situation. I’d actually love to see him on Rachel Lindsay’s podcast, she’d really get some interesting insights from him. 2. Why are all these new come guys choosing the same girls every time? I mean... besides Hannah G, Tayshia was arguably the most popular from that season, I can’t imagine why she’s not being asked out/pursued more. If I see one more Hannah G, Caelynn, Nicole date it’s like what’s the point of watching the show. 3. Nicole constantly proclaiming she’s the bachelorette of paradise is like a girl who didn’t get hot until after high school. Her ego is way to inflated considering the dudes asking her out. 4. Speaking of dudes, it is TRULY slim pickings this season. There’s no male contestant truly worth the hassle in the looks or the personality department. 5. This ep truly cemented why I don’t like Mike or Caelynn. With Mike, every girl he speaks to is the most amazing, wonderful woman that he can’t wait to build a connection with. Caelynn isn’t an option so now it’s Sydney. Caelynn only gets into relationships that will get her clout. 6. Does it make me a horrible person that I’m not mad at Jordan body slamming Cristian. Dudes on this show are usually super passive so will let Jordan’s antics slide, but I’ve known plenty of dudes like Christian and... a body slam from time to time doesn’t seem too far fetched lol
  19. This might be controversial to say but, I don't like Mike. I don't like Mike at all. I find him extremely disingenuous and only says things to make him look like the "perfect guy" so he can be the first black bachelor. I didn't see any connection between him and Hannah, she'd literally recoil away from him while jumping on top of other dudes. I don't buy whatever connection he's trying to pull off with Caelynn. Caelynn is an opportunist who will fake a relationship if it A. helps her stay on the show (Cam) or B. looks good for her in the public eye (Mike). The only time he was probably most himself was when he was telling off Luke. I really hope Mike is not the next bachelor.
  20. I think multiple things can be true at the same time. The only drawback to that is it's problematic to create a narrative that makes since to a show like BIP. For example... Did Caelynn and Blake texted and FaceTimed for months previous to Stagecoach? Strong possibility. Did she send text clearly stating that she wanted sex, he seemingly didn't want to, but she did during Stagecoach? Yes, that's what the text show to me. Did they both seem to regret it afterwards and were unsure of how to handle this whole situation on TV. Yes, that's what the text show to me. Did an ambiguous ending lead to a misunderstanding. Yes, that's what the show has proven. I think what Caelynn is doing, instead of addressing a misunderstanding, is putting all of the blame on Blake because right now the trend on the show is to be seen as a "strong woman" like Hannah B, or what Kristina is trying to be portrayed as. The problem is, we got to see Hannah B eventually stand up for herself bc the entirety of the relationship with both Luke and Jed were shown on TV. An audience can literally see for themselves the faults in both men and rally behind Hannah sticking up for herself. Caelynn doesn't have that advantage. Therefore, Blake can show receipts and spin this in a way that hurts her agenda. Blake may continue to dig himself a hole on the show, a la Dean 2 summers ago, but I don't see how what their relationship seemed to be warranted Caelynn having a plan of attack before going down the steps at BIP. It's not like he ignored her at the resort and she reacted, she went there planning to confront him. She really set herself up for a back and forth that could have been avoided.
  21. Val posted recently a video of him and Jenna dancing to a song from the show Euphoria. Some reactions: Val and Jenna - Euphoria will be off putting and offensive to a lot of people. Everyone should watch Euphoria. Zendaya is really nothing short of a revelation. -Jenna out danced Val in this video. -Am I the only one that finds it strange that he post a video stating that Euphoria was the inspiration, but does not credit Zendaya in any kind of way? Even if they're not as close as they used to be, it does seem odd.
  22. One of the things I love about this dance is that the partner has clearly let go of like stiffness that I often see in people who are dancing African styles. Even pros in the US (looking at your Derek) who have done African themed dances on the show are always so... upright. I mean... Len already knows who she is since she's from Strictly so she has that advantage. Also someone's gotta blaze a trail for a black female pro on the show. This isn't the civil rights movement but someone's gotta lay the groundwork or it's always gonna be girl from Utah or the former Soviet Union lol
  23. There's a black pro over on Strictly Come Dancing, I think she's Keo's former partner, who quite frankly, I think is a better dancer than Keo lol. She has a very popular partnership i think about a year ago and I thought to myself, oh! I hope they bring her over the the US version! Here's one of her dances.
  24. I went to the Confidential tour that Maks and Val did, a friend of mine ended up having a last minute ticket and she and I have both had been watching DWTS since the 1st season. Besides it not being confidential at all, as everything they talked about was basic knowledge if you've been following their career (like NOT talking about how Maks's relationship with Peta overlapping with his relationship with Karina, even though their relationship was the main theme of the show), and Val not mentioning Jenna AT ALL and talking about being a struggling misunderstood artist. One thing I do remember from the tour was that Val was getting heat from Val and Jenna fans from appearing to be "too close" to one of the tour dancers named Taylor Banks. I'm not sure if she's super trained in ballroom, or she's one of those super cross-trained dancers, but I've seen her in music videos and tours for Chris Brown, Ciara, etc. She's definitely one of the dancers that Val danced with the most during the performance and in terms of looks, she definitely fits the bill (black, beautiful). I remember he posted an instastory with her in it saying that they were just friends and he was going to post whatever he wanted bc it's his account. I know she has a boyfriend but even Jenna fans know what Val's type is and will cape for her.
