  1. Yes, he could manipulate the long deceased. When Bran reached previous 3ER hideout place, he was chased by a bunch of skeletons raised from the ground
  2. Cool thanks for the crash course on Celtic mythology
  3. There was an episode 8.1 speculation thread that is now locked
  4. In the other thread I speculated that Arya, Cersei and HotPie were the only ones survive with Arya taking care of Jon and Danny's daughter. I am changing part of it. The 3 still survive BUT Arya is taking care of her OWN child who has the rightful claim to the Iron Throne.
  5. So was this boy born when Rhaegar had his affair with Lyanna?
  6. I am guessing a special privilege granted to the heir of the throne since his wife could not produce male heir
  7. IIRC Stannis turned some of Renly's army and I never said that was right, that was just the expectation within the confined of GoT universe. As for Dany, if she wants to be consistent with her claim via bloodline, she needs to support Jon, again because that was the expectation. Of course she is free to refuse to support Jon, but that makes her bloodline claim null and void. To be honest, she should be true with her "breaker of wheel" claim and f*** bloodline. Do whatever she needs to do to claim the throne after they survive the ice zombie invasion. Even though there is a great chance she won't have both Jon's love and the Iron Throne.
  8. Not sexist, IMHO, just the way they operate. This was similar to how in season 2, Stannis expected his younger brother, Renly, to give up his claim to the throne (along with his army) just because Stannis was older
  9. Who needs a dragon when the wights can walk underwater as shown last season
  10. Sweeney even gave Shadow hints when he made the coin disappeared in Shadow's room Per season 1, her court was made literally out of orgies. She is just establishing a new court in Cairo I think he killed a version of Odin that traveled to Ireland via the Viking invasion. My take is Sweeney was the home god of the Celts/Ireland natives. When the Viking invaded bringing Odin with them, the Celts successfully defended their land (ie. Sweeney killed Odin). Later when Christianity came (via the grey monk) Sweeney was not as successful at defending the land due to the monk's curse and/or insanity that poisoned him after he killed Odin. Sweeney fled his people somehow (after talked with pregnant wife). Then he became mad (ie when the wife came visiting with daughter)
  11. It just donned on me why Mr. Nancy hated unclaimed shoes so much. He is the god of spiders and spiders hate being killed by shoes
  12. This is the best sh!t on free TV, bar none !!!! Even a setup episode like this is so much better than most stuffs on TV... I hate time travel stories, but this show is not shy about changing things as repercussions of time travel. It looks like the finale is going to be a reset button of some sort. This is a setup episode where all characters play parts in the story: Doc with old!Kelly, Gordon with Ed, Lamarr and Isaac, and Talla with young!Kelly I was preparing for a version of Thomas Riker (TNG & DS9, look it up), but damn that ending... And yes, Ed should have known better than trying to have a relationship with young Kelly. His last apology (5 months gone, etc etc) must be another reason for young!Kelly to reject Ed in the past. That opening scene was so TNG the way it was shot, I was half hoping they would show us 6 people playing poker next. That is how you do an homage !!!! And the way they hid from Keylon, bonus scifi points !!! "You just called me old" lol! Bortus & Klyden mating dance.. So hilarious!!! "Bathroom is that way" 😄 😄 😄
  13. IIRC whoever leftover were related to either Tyrell or Tarly. Cersei had a hand in the destruction of both houses
  14. Yep. I have no idea how the Unsullied are going to fight effectively in the COLD wearing their sleeveless vests
  15. And also assuming none of the priest / priestess of the Fire Lord is nearby to resurrect him
  16. Most of those people (the nobles) died when she blew up the Great Sept. It is fitting that the emptiness in her life is the direct result of her actions.
  17. Great episode. I am not going to repeat everyone's comments. To me the writing style of this show is closer to DS9, where each episode can stand on its own, but there are connecting issues between episodes that would make a better viewing experience for fans of the show. This show doing a great job at world building. Look at the variety of aliens in the council. One I noticed was the race of that poet engineer who had a date with Alara. 'I like the fight sequence with Dolly Parton's 9 to 5. Although I questioned how Kelly could kick a Moclan soldier hard enough to drop him. The Moclans are supposed to be heavier and stronger than average humans. The physics just did not work. They should have shown more of female Moclans taking care of themselves vs male Moclans and Kelly as weapon support. Bonus points for Gordon's piloting skill making the Orville lasted that long vs a bigger stronger Moclans warship before going to the nebula. I love picking up little details like these 😄 Bortus' smile was a good way to end the episode
  18. Did Donar really commit suicide? Or did Wednesday con Shadow (and us viewers) to think suicide is a way to permanently kill a god? To me, the angle of that shotgun that killed Donar looked weird for a suicide. Only every year? There are so many kinds of cons in many parts of US that would make that god more powerful than Odin 😄
  19. This episode feels most like Neil Gaiman to me. Going back between past and future without seemingly coherent plot only to reveal a tragedy at the end. Nicely done with a backdrop of pre-WW2 US. Now we know who broke the spear. I thought the spear was broken during last war between gods? Was that just a fib Odin told the others ? We also saw previous incarnation of Tech Boy (thanks to the creation of telephone / Ma Bell) So that means last week is not the last we see of him. He is just going to evolve into a more advanced version Found a loophole on how to kill a god. So does that mean Thor / Donar will never come back even though more and more people know him from the Avengers movies ??? So much sadness in the last few scenes. Ian McShane is a master on humanizing this coniving and manipulating little so called allfather... Thor when potrayed well should be more of a naive straight shooter than dumb guy. As Thor committed suicide, on his wall you can see a poster of "We can do it" woman from WW2 (I cant remember the actual name right now). I think that was Columbia
  20. They are all equally humans so still check.
  21. I know right? And I was watching with my good noise reduction over the head headphones on 😄 😄 😄
  22. I thought Arya is more suited to be Spymaster like Varys
  23. And everyone knows how good Jon is in bed so Dany really does not want to alienate him by unleashing dragon fire on his sister 😄
  24. That was much restrained than the way Northerners speak to their King of the North. Again, if Dany cannot handle passive aggressive tones, she is not going to be a good leader. Also, somebody needed to worry about logistics. The last time somebody went up north without enough food, Stannis was mowed down easily by Ramsey Bolton
