  1. My family and I visited Magnolia Market in December. The bakery is called Silos Baking Co. We all tried different treats including cupcakes, muffins and cinnamon rolls. Everything was delicious!
  2. Oh NikSac, I'm so glad to hear about another dog with the magical elevating back legs. My daughter has a Boston Terrier, and I was completely terrified the first time I saw him do that.
  3. The silence may be a result of them being busy putting all their home improvement lessons to use. Inside Edition just reported that Josh and family are moving to the house in AR they recently purchased. Said the Duggar family is helping with renovations.
  4. I don't remember how we found out she was pregnant with M4, but wasn't there a cupcake "gender" reveal with just Josh, Anna, and their kids shown during the commercial break of another TLC show a few months ago, or did I dream that?
  5. There's a big difference between being proud of someone and being prideful. Her comment about rarely saying she's proud of someone is another example of whacked out Duggar thinking. Michelle needs to express more of the former and watch herself on the latter.
  6. I hope Mariah will finally be the ones to determine their own courtship and engagement guidelines. JB and Michelle have said many times that it's up to the couple, yet we've seen them flip out when Jill and Jessa have had their minor slips. I hope Josiah will say, "Mom and Dad, God has laid it on our hearts to hold hands during courtship, and front hug and share a quick kiss or two during engagement (hey, Pastor Binjermin said that was OK)."
  7. Although this episode was about Jessa, for me it definitely highlighted Michelle's laziness and lack of substance. She wasn't even trying to hide the fact that she wouldn't be the one filling Jessa's shoes or taking up some of the slack. That wasn't even a consideration. She came across as entitled, with a splash of defiance. She's not going to lift a finger to help fill the void. Michelle talks, but says nothing that is meaningful, heartfelt, or contemplative. She putters around the house/kitchen for the cameras trying to appear busy, but, as we all know, the kids are the ones doing the major work. I wish she would snap out of it and be a present, warm, loving, involved mother; sadly I don't think it will happen.
  8. The announcement I remember was made at the house at the end of that season. It is shown as season 5, episode 33 under Wiki's list of Duggar episodes and is called "Duggars: All You Wanted to Know". In the recap they mention the episode being a Q and A, and Michelle revealing her 20th pregnancy. It is confusing why they would have had two televised announcements.
  9. I think the Josiah incident happened during the last episode of season 5. It was one of those Q & A episodes, and at the end of the episode they filmed JB and Michelle telling the family she was pregnant with #20.
  10. Washington County also includes Fayetteville (U of A) and Springdale. 2010 county census report was around 203,000.
  11. I don't think the cat was in dire danger, but an "adult man" should know better than to aim his oncoming "sled" at an animal under any circumstances, especially with younger children looking on. To post it on social media is beyond reason.
  12. E News just featured Cat-Gate in the first 10 minutes of the show, and it appears Team Cat has a lot of support. They said TLC had no comment.
  13. My daughter was married last year. Based on our recent bridal shop experiences, the sample dresses she tried on were mostly size 10. She is right under 5'6" / 120 lbs and usually wears a 2 or 4 in mall sizes. All of the bridal gowns she tried on had to be clipped in the back to fit. When she picked one and we were placing the order, the consultant said that that particular size chart showed her borderline 6/8; we crossed our fingers and went with the 6. It came in fitting almost perfectly, only needing a minor bodice adjustment. Based on all of that, I think it's highly unlikely (but not impossible) that Jessa's dress of choice would have fit her that perfectly on the day they were out trying on dresses, unless they keep 4's and 6's in stock at that shop. That was not our experience at the many bridal shops we visited in a major metropolitan area.
  14. Another red flag. Even my husband, who doesn't usually watch the show, raised an eyebrow on that one.
  15. Can't remember seeing the actual chart/calendar in a specific episode, but It was eluded to in Season 1, Episode 2 "Duggars Do New York" (2008). This was one of the last ones I watched on Netflix. They were all on the Today Show with Meredith V. for a Mother's Day episode, and Michelle revealed they were expecting (Jordyn). She said about the kids, "they didn't know we're expecting; my girls watch the calendar like a hawk. We Just found out Monday night." Don't know if the calendar is hanging in the kitchen or on sitting on a desk, but the teenage girls apparently kept up with it. Josh's shocked reaction was the best part of the episode.
