Or a few hours by plane. Maybe they didn't want to be on the show. I'm already sensing that Jen's parents are "over it" based on how they were season back vs how they are now on the show. I am sure we will find out this week if they mention it.

I am anxious to know who's all invited to the party as well! I didn't notice any relatives except for Jan's Mom & Dad based on the previews. They are probably friends, Jen's Co-workers and Bill's pet store employees.
-
I was not surprised at the registries and the volumes of tableware they want. I can recall Smuggar and Anna's registry being very laughable as well.
-
The Crio drink has a gimmick now, I wonder how many people will at least buy one to see how bad it tastes from this show. The money they were asking was insane.
-
Yeah no way did that one turkey feed the clan . Maybe they gave the lost girls the skin and Josie the bones to suck on. I've made Green Bean Casserole, but what Anna was making looked like a tub of barf.

I watched it too and it was interesting to contrast what they said then based on what they are doing now. Jana and Jinger creep me out by how much they do not say...

This episode looks like it's going to be a great snarkfest. Based on the previews, Jen barks orders as usual while prepping for the party, Will goes out of control as usual (and usual for a toddler), I'm sure Zoey will just love the Zoo animals!

We only had cake for birthdays, usually. Never had dessert with dinner either. I never felt deprived.

Let's discuss what we'd like to see Jen, Bill and the kids doing. I'd love to see more of Jen at the hospital and Bill working. As much as I want to see the kids when they start school, I doubt we will for thier sake. Have we ever seen them grocery shopping?

Worst of Golden Girls: Your Least Favorite Moments
MrMattyMatt replied to FormerMod-a1's topic in The Golden Girls
The "Kate's Wedding" episode was pretty bad, I agree. To show up and announce you are getting married (there in Miami in a matter of days) and then to expect your newly divorced mother to call and invite her ex-husband, definitely did put Kate in a bad light. It was the first season, so I give it a pass. -
From this episode, you can tell Bill won't be the "bad cop" when it comes to the kids by passivley going off to do the dishes while Jen dealt with Cake-gate. It went on a bit long, I'm just glad she didn't give in.

I was thinking Jen meant that there was not enough free space on the walls. I loved how Zoey was enjoying the View Finder... until Jen had to come and "enhance" her experience with it.

I'm still on for Ben, Bianca and Courtney for final three. Adore is turning in to Laganga and Darienne is just a bitter person. She looks great in drag but I'm not seeing any other talent. I still doubt Bianca will win it, it's too obvious and she doesn't need a win to get tot the top from being on this show.

I was waiting for it!!

Past Seasons Talk: 7 Seasons and Counting
MrMattyMatt replied to auntie thesis's topic in 19 Kids And Counting [V]
Whatever happened with Jana and Jill's midwifery schooling and careers? Have we heard anything this season about it? I knew Jana had admitted she wasn't "that" into it and I am sure Jill will need to give up completely now that she's engaged, Nothing like the Duggars to shove the shattered dreams under the bus. (literaly) -
I would have liked to have seen more with Will and Baba doing things at the Pet Store. All we saw was him "brooming up" dog hair (as Bill put it) and then NyeNye feeding him chocolate and cookies. They really need to break that kid from all the treats and sweets. Oh wait, we did see Will toss a dog treat too...

I also didn't think the curious kid at the park was all that bad. It would have been worse if he had been taunting them from afar. He probably knew about Little People but never actually came face to face with one, so he was naturally curious. Bill handled it very matter of fact. My heart goes out to Will and Zoey when they start school as not only Little People, racial minorities and reality TV kids....

Too bad it all had to end with having to put Zoey down for her nap. Did they ever show more about her cute bed? I was suprised to see that there is a huge opening that she could roll out of, unless the side comes up like a crib. When we have seen Will in bed they have quite a set-up for him.

There have been many eposides that were themed around many of the J'Slaves learning to drive. In the previews for this episode we get to see miracle Josie licking up chocolate or some other slop off a table.... how precious...
-
Right, it seemed that Jen "ran" the tea party when it should be the other way around. Then again, Zoey is a bit to young at this point, but I am sure we will see the tables turn soon. It almost exhausting watching the the segments with Will. I prefer calm Zoey.

Josiah's GED party was incredibly dull and boring. So he's going to go to Alert Camp and maybe take a few college courses to see what life has to offer? mmmmkay I agree, why was Anna so pressured to make sure the dinner was done and ready for when the circus arrived? Why not order pizza and then prepare and serve the dinner on the day it was intended? That way she would have had help. TLC manufactured drama, gotta love it.

The tea time was so cute. I like Zoey's somewhat bossy personality that we are finally getting to see. Jen will have a run for her money soon! LOL Looks like Will is going to have quite the lavish birthday party. The cake that they ended up with seemed smaller and totally different from when the Cake Lady was visiting for her consultation.

I agree that there needed to be more sissy training this season for the straight-makeover. It seemed that only Ben's bride knew how to stand and act, but then I sensed that he was VERY into it anyway.

Zoobean - Having worked a software company (not major) that developed search engines for websites with similar filtering, that was a really bad deal, unless we missed something. I went and tried the site. You're forced to fill in questions regarding the child and then you are forced to create an account to go any further to see any merchandise. Brick Wall right there, Just show me the damn books!! I can imagine many people abandon the website at that point. Too bad for Mark. I'll bet Lori & QVC can and will come out with a better version of Fort-mom's idea, complete with the fabric and at a fraction of the cost.

I totally agree that they have somehow decided to "dumb down" Bill. Some of the things he says, I don't know if he's trying to be funny, but I have a hard time believing he's that thick. I watched an episode from a previous season recently where they went to Atlanta to speak about small business owners with disabilities and Bill was very polished and many people suggested he even run for Congress!
