  1. Was OP referring to Ricky's daughter here or Melissa (the supposed girlfriend)? I thought it was Melissa.
  2. Does Paul have a job? If so, how can he take off all this time to go to Brazil? If not, how does he afford the stuffed animals?! If my family knew I was taking my baby to meet a man I never met before with a criminal record for assault, they'd be trying to lock me in my house to keep me from going to the airport. Questionable motherhood choice by Rachel. I feel sad for Angela. She just isn't too bright, but she seems like a decent person. At the very least, I give her credit for taking care of her mother and having a job where she probably works hard. That's more than we an say for some people on this show.
  3. Yes. Nicole's personality and choices make it hard not to criticize her. I'm willing to bet that if she was a well-spoken, thoughtful woman who appeared to be a good mother, her weight wouldn't come up as much (though certainly it would be mentioned). Also, from what we have seen on tv, she lives on fried and fast food. She has openly discussed her aversion to exercise and vegetables. This is someone who is making a choice to lead an unhealthy lifestyle. Even if she is somehow genetically predisposed to be heavier, I'd bet you $6,000 that she would lose some weight if she tried to watch what she eats and moved around. It's her decision to make, but she should feel bad about it because she should want to be healthy for the sake of May. Edited to add this: The topic of fat-shaming Nicole came up on Reddit, too. It made me think that some people are uncomfortable with saying these things about Nicole, but they will gladly snark on Pao's red hair, plastic surgery, and outfits. It can be argued that those are choices Pao makes, and indeed she they are. But one could also make the argument that Nicole chooses not to be healthier. I think the terrible personalities of both of these women contributes to people seeing them as "not attractive" internally and externally.
  4. I am Catholic but not super religious. When I was pregnant, there was something found an an ultrasound that "could be a marker for Downs" and the doctor had a discussion about termination with me. When I did more research I found that this issue on its own was a poor indicator for Down's and most likely meant nothing on its own, and my baby came out normal. But I admit I was disturbed at how quickly termination came up, and it made me wonder what I would have done if I was younger and/or more gullible and didn't take ten minutes to do some research online. I was horrified that my provider didn't explain all of this to me but did mention abortion pretty quickly. So I can only imagine that a Duggar would not even want to have an ultrasound and have even the idea of abortion mentioned.
  5. Yes. I am a "boy mom" but I hate it when I see that hashtag or women call themselves a "boy mom." Get over yourself. Young kids are energetic. You aren't special!
  6. I love the little tidbits in this show. Some highlights last night were Mother Chantel trying to quote Sir Isaac Newton and Chantel sitting in bed in her red dress with all of her make up still on. I gotta hand it to Azan because I wouldn't have the balls to do what he does. He strings her along and shows her wedding venues and dresses and then pulls it all out from under her. And he cons her out of 6k that could have gone to improve her life and May's. Just wow. I felt some pangs of sympathy for Nicole but especially for May.
  7. Yes. This is no longer entertaining. Nicole is off her mind to allow Azan to use this money to open up a store when neither Azan nor Nicole know squat about running a business or beauty. If I were Robbalee, I'd tell Nicole she's on her own. She can get custody of May since Nicole apparently can't support herself right now.
  8. If it makes you feel better I dislike Anfisa and Chantel's family. I'm neutral on the host. But Chantel's family are really bad- I don't think it has anything to do with color.
  9. You are right. The more I think about Molly, the more angry I get. It also sounds like Louis wasn't the only man that Molly prioritized before her children. She is very immature. How much money has Nicole possibly saved from her part-time job at Starbucks??
  10. So Russ is mature enough to realize that they shouldn't bring a baby into the trainwreck that is their marriage, and Pao can't handle it.
  11. Pedro's family (especially Nicole) are not prizes. But Chantel's parents are terrible and have never given Pedro a chance. It bothers me that even when watching the video Chantel can't concede that her parents provoked the fight. She defends them to the end. I don't get it. I love my parents but I know when they are wrong and need to take a seat.
  12. A lot of people use these seats. We used them to help my son sit up when he was young. He loved having his own "chair." Unless parents are forcing the kids into them for hours, it's not a big deal.
  13. I really hope she wouldn't lie about that, but I wouldn't put it past her. She becomes harder to like each week. And her style declines proportionally as well.
  14. Well, not necessarily. She probably thinks it is Jorge but if she was with another guy shortly after they broke up, she might not be completely sure. It happens sometimes.
  15. Chantel is wearing the red version of the blue dress that she wore for all of her talking heads....does she own anything else?
  16. Yes, I heard this too, but I mean she should have forced him- as in sued him in court to establish paternity. I understand what people are saying on here that maybe she was a minor when she got pregnant, so that may explain it. But I couldn't imagine not taking the man I thought was the father of my child to court.
  17. Pao is the worst. I'm tired of her whining about her sacrifices. Russ made some too. He left his own family to move somewhere he didn't like with fewer career prospects to support her modeling "career." He would have been happy to stay in Oklahoma. Stop being the martyr. I have a difficult time believing the tears about her miscarriage are real when the doctor told her last week that she could conceive again and she immediately said that she didn't want to at the moment. There is no way she is going to be stuck inside that apartment with a baby and miss out on her modeling gigs and nights out as a "spicy Latina."
  18. Why didn't the mother of Jorge's alleged child sue him for child support years ago? He could have taken a DNA test then and settled this years ago. I do think it is a bit ridiculous to come after someone as the father of your daughter if you never pushed the issue when she was born and ten years have gone by. But Jorge is a POS nonetheless.
  19. When we first saw Nicole (Pedro's sister), I thought she was really pretty. Now, not so much. I can't decide it's because she wears too much make-up or because of her lovely personality.
  20. I really like the back of her dress! But why wear your hair down and thus not let people see it? And if you really want to wear your hair down, put the embellishments on the dress in the front.
  21. I'm Catholic and my wedding was in the early afternoon and the reception began at 5. I had no choice- if I wanted to get married in my church I had to pick the early afternoon time. It was the only time they offered me. The reason is what is stated above- they wanted us to be done with pictures and gone in time to clean prior to the first Saturday evening mass. Generally the out of town guests use that time to go to the hotel and rest and get spruced up for the reception (we had a party bus take people from the hotel to the venue). Local folks might go home and hang out for a few hours until the receiption.
  22. Yes, yes. I specifically remember David saying in Thailand that he was broke. That's why he couldn't pay the dowry upfront and why he had to borrow money from Chris during that ridiculous charade when he handed money to all of the people in Annie's village.
  23. I wouldn't want to live above the storage rental place either, but it's a pretty good deal if David and Annie were able to live there rent free while working. He could save some money and if Annie worked under the table, they could actually move into a nicer place in a short time period. But that makes too much sense so that wouldn't happen. The fact that David has a Master's degree tells you that if you can pay, almost anyone can get any degree they want in the USA. (I have advanced degrees too; it's not that special). I find it hard to feel bad for Anfisa since she continues to stay with Jorge despite his issues with telling the truth. Getting a divorce probably will not mean she will be deported (reference: Mohammed).
  24. There's been some speculation about the home showed on the show not being Chantel's parent's real house. I, too, remember the McMansion in the first season they were filmed. But, I also remember a scene where they were "packing," and it was insinuated that they were moving. Maybe they had to dump the McMansion for a more humble abode?
