Ah, someone has uncovered Josh's real name and criminal record: http://www.intouchweekly.com/posts/josh-and-aika-90-day-fiance-146905 https://realityblurb.com/2017/11/15/90-day-fiance-josh-batterson-mugshot-multiple-arrest-records-revealed/ http://starcasm.net/archives/379400 -
Impoverished, tattooed 24 year old Bangkok bargirls don't have great marriage options. No respectable Thai man will marry them. Their options are to marry a poor, low class Thai guy who might REALLY drink a lot and beat them and make them keep working in the bar as long as possible while living off the girl's money. Or they can marry a foreigner they meet in their bar, and believe me, those guys can be really creepy and old and way worse than the broke and occasionally tipsy David.

If Andrrrrrei was living in Ireland on a student visa, doesn't that mean university student? If so, why is his goal to be a truck driver? I have nothing against truck drivers, but why wouldn't he pursue a career in his field of study, something that might have a higher financial ceiling and not require him to be away from home all the time (if he's talking about long distance truck driving)? It's hard to control your subservient wife's every move when she's at home and you're hauling oranges from Florida to Minneapolis.

Molly & Luis: My Baby Does the Sanky Panky
gavinmac replied to Drogo's topic in The Couples (Spoilers)
Did these two knuckleheads not discuss where they each planned to live before getting engaged? Dominican Republic is fine for a 3 day drunken vacation, but why would he think an American businesswoman with kids would have any interest in living there? And why does he want to move back? He can make 5-10 times as much as a bartender in the USA. He's making no sense. Most definitely. -
I thought Andrei handled the interrogation by her brother and father pretty well. I figured he'd just stand up and bash them both over the head like Frankenstein. I've actually been to Moldova. Here's a fun fact: there's a big mall on the outskirts of the capital city. And it's called . . . MallDova.

Paul & Karine: These Condoms Ain't For Sexin'

Now he's saying on Facebook the GoFundMe is canceled due to recent developments and saying "One thing I will not tolerate is cheating." They may be broken up again. -
Aika & Josh: The Hottest Cheerleader + The Water Boy
gavinmac replied to Drogo's topic in The Couples (Spoilers)
That's an interesting question. Josh is not super old or terrible looking, and he's white, and he's American, so he definitely could get an 18-25 year old Filipina on one of these websites. It's strange, he's superficial but not about age, I guess. Many women in southeast Asia have children young and then let their parents raise the kids while they go back to work or even move out of the country for work. It's possible Aika has a kid. It would be odd for a 36 year old Filipina not to have kids. -

Kirlyam too. Did anyone notice the huge tattoo on Aika's lower left leg? Having spent a lot of the time in Southeast Asia, I'll say that large tattoos are a pretty good indicator that a woman has worked in a hooker bar. -
Josh trying to force Aika into modeling was like Loren and Alexei all over again. Josh knew that the 36 year old Aika wanted a family, but he thought he could have many years of "thin hot wife in Daisy Dukes" before having more children. I'm not sure he understands biology.

I saw no cyber sex. Just "I like your pics" comments. To a 15-16 year old.

I'm seeing on the 90DF Facebook group that twentysomething year old David was grooming Evelyn with flirty Instagram chat when she was 15-16.

Social Media & Spoilery Speculation

David's sugar daddy Chris has had legal issueshimself. No arson, but not a guy you want to date and break up with. He was accused of putting his arm around his girlfriend's neck and trying to choke or strangle her. http://www.courier-journal.com/story/news/local/2016/04/20/thieneman-convicted-wanton-endangerment/83301048/ http://www.wdrb.com/story/25646001/chris-thieneman-back-behind-bars-accused-of-intimidating-ex-girlfriend http://louisvilleky.com/chris-thieneman-is-not-guilty-of-assault-charge/ https://springston.blogspot.com/2017/06/thieneman-lawsuit-filed.html -
Social Media & Spoilery Speculation
gavinmac replied to cooksdelight's topic in The Couples (Spoilers)
I don't think that's the case. David filed for bankruptcy in 2004. He listed ten judgments against him by creditors, dating back to lawsuits filed in 1996-2002. He owed $56,000 to Bell South (presumably for Yellow Pages ads). His furniture was rent to own. A 2010 article "Does David Toborowsky Live in a Crack House for Local Politics?" points out that David, who was running for school board, lived in a house owned by his buddy Chris. https://educationvoodoo.wordpress.com/2010/10/13/does-david-toborowsky-live-in-a-crack-house-for-local-politics-as-long-as-its-in-the-east-end-jcta-president-brent-mckim-is-probably-okay-with-that-just-guessing/ His financial troubles and living with Chris are not new or fabricated. -

I am a bit biased, of course. I'm a generate who has been to Southeast Asia 50+ times but I don't think I'd ever live there. In fact, I wrote a tongue-in-cheek article a few years back titled "7 Reasons Why You Really Shouldn't Move to Cambodia" which prompted a lot of very, very angry comments. http://www.khmer440.com/k/2013/07/7-reasons-why-you-really-shouldnt-move-to-cambodia/ -
Well, I live in Las Vegas, a little closer, but if I had a Filipina fiancee and presumably inexperienced traveler flying to the US, I'd meet her in Los Angeles too. Actually, I'd probably fly to the Philippines and travel back with her, but I'm chivalrous like that. LAX is pretty confusing. Eight different terminals, connecting between them isn't easy, sometimes you have to go outside and hop on a bus to get from terminal to terminal and then make sure you don't get on the bus that goes all the way to the parking lots. Customs lines are unpredictable and even if your connecting flight from LAX to Phoenix is 3 hours later you might not make it. Then consider that the cheapest way from Manila to Phoenix probably involves flying to LAX on United or Philippines Airlines and then booking a separate Southwest Airlines flight from LAX to Phoenix. So she'd have to get a trolley for her bags ($5 they may only take credit cards which she probably doesn't have), ignore the signs for connecting flights, exit the Tom Bradley terminal, push the trolley containing many bags with all her possessions along the sidewalk all the way from the Tom Bradley terminal to Terminal 1, re-check them on her separate Southwest flight, etc. It's just not an easy process for someone who has never been to the USA and hasn't flown a lot and wears 5 inch heels and miniskirts everywhere. Josh meeting her in Los Angeles and driving or flying with her to Phoenix the next day makes perfect sense, rather than expecting her to navigate all that on her own. Also by meeting her in Los Angeles, he blocked her from running off with any another American dude she might have met at LAX or in transit to Phoenix.

Westerners don't make good livings as bartenders in Thailand. That job can be done by a Thai for $400 a month. There are also roughly 30,000 Western hippie backpackers in Thailand who are broke and willing to bartend in exchange for food and modest lodging. Moreover, Thailand has been cracking down on Westerners living there in recent years and it's not easy for Westerners to get long term visas to live there unless they have good jobs, sponsorship by employer, etc. If Kyle and Noon want to have kids, educating them to a Western standard is very expensive in Thailand, it's free in American public schools. Their future is much better in the USA. -

David and his asphalt paving company were also sued by the Attorney General of the State of Kentucky in 1996. Something about collecting money and not performing services, falsely representing work to be done, failing to honor warranties, failing to notify consumers of their right to cancel agreements, etc. It's in the box here, search for asphalt: https://www.newspapers.com/newspage/110201595/ David later filed for bankruptcy in 2004 and listed this as a $100,000 claim against his bankruptcy estate. The way that Annie is working him over, it seems that the asphalt scammer has now become the scammee. -
I agree. It was like the way slimy Stuckey talked to Vivian in "Pretty Woman."

This is true. I'm not suggesting that she's a scumbag. But he met her in a karaoke bar. The women who work in those bars are paid to "entertain" customers by singing and drinking with them in private rooms, and then whatever else happens, happens. There is a strong connection between Thai karaoke bars and prostitution. The women are actually lined up like cattle in skimpy outfits as you walk in, and you point to the one you like and take her into the room with you. Here is a video of such a lineup: Annie is accustomed to being compensated for companionship and her behavior on the show is consistent with that.

By the way, I am a bored lawyer who did ten minutes of googling on a hunch, and it appears that overstaying a tourist visa ten years ago would have virtually no effect on a subsequent K-1 visa application. That makes sense, overstaying a tourist visa just suggests immigrant intent, and immigrant intent won't be held against you when applying for an immigrant visa like the K-1.

If I have learned one thing from 90DF, it's that welcoming parties for foreign fiances are the perfect time for friends and family members to awkwardly confront him or her by saying "Hi, nice to meet you, I think you're using my friend for a green card."

It was incredibly inappropriate, but having visited Thailand many times, I can't agree with your comment that "She's not a whore." 1. David met her in a bar, one presumably frequented by and oriented towards Western men 2. Many Thai women who work in bars frequented by white men, who are open to "dating" those white customers, are whores 3. She has multiple tattoos. Many, many thai hookers have tattoos and most Thai women who are not hookers don't have tattoos. 4. She's from a poor village but was working in Bangkok and speaks English OK despite presumably being not well educated due to her poverty. Those are commonalities with many Thai hookers 5. She's marrying a white guy twice her age, who she says is not handsome, which many Thai hookers aspire to. 6. She suggested that a proper sin sot for herself might be 2 million- 3 million baht, which is absurdly high for someone of her status, age and appearance. This, and her other financial demands, suggests hooker-like scamming. In short, I'm getting a fairly strong whore vibe from her.

I agree with you that her being the DR puts her back right in the thick of the hooker scene. I'm confused about whether she had the clothing "business" with Chris before she met Sean. In the next to last episode, she tells Sean she will no longer be friends with Chris but will have a business relationship, and Sean asks what business, and she says clothes, the same as I'm doing with you. I got the feeling that it was a spontaneous last minute thing to be Chris "business partner" as a way to get around Sean's directive to end things with Chris. I figured she was just using it as a cover so she could stay in touch with Chris, and when Sean asks why she's texting Chris day and night, she can say "clothing business, supporting my family, don't be jealous blah blah"
