  1. Bigger issue: where is the documentary evidence to back up the narrative? The credentials are important, but not the biggest obstacle at play. This is Sass’s tree story revisited, on a grander scale.
  2. But will it be a novel or history? If non-fiction, how will Sam refer to her “evidence” ?
  3. Nancy can keep a secret, and I don’t think Nigel is above blackmail. Next week will be interesting. I would add more, but I don’t want to annoy Jay and spend more time on my phone….. We all need someone to provide Jay-like support in our lives.
  4. The best plot was Georgie and the car seat. The second best was Connie’s moment in the hallway. The rest: they’ll find some way to draw out the marital tension for an even longer stretch.
  5. Will we ever see the soon to be dumped fiancé, Rand? I thought the mom’s casting was well-done. And I liked the color Olivia’s suite, just wish the pants were less legging-like.
  6. Was this a copycat? https://nypost.com/2023/02/27/columbus-statue-in-central-park-vandalized-police/
  7. When I see T/J, they remind me of Will and Grace, on steroids. They are such an absorbed duo, I can’t imagine their significant others not feeling like 3rd wheels. But this episode felt like it was phoned in. I did like the VHS tapes and Gurg’s dinner for Dan.
  8. What a stupid man. They weren’t married. There were no kids. He could have walked away. But he took all the frustrations out on two women who had been kind to him. At least he was dumb enough to provide the evidence that led to his conviction.
  9. Is there an I want to marry Jay! thread? It seems there are quite a few of us on this thread. What does Nigel have in store for Hetty? That is a rivalry I didn’t foresee. But Trevor could be a good double agent for Hetty, unless the secret gets out soon.
  10. Thor as bouncer! Those few seconds were the best part of an already great episode!
  11. But would the scene have to be reshot, or could the line be fixed by audio? I blame The Bachelor for this. When I watched it years ago, people talking about “X and I’s relationship” or “between X and I” were onscreen frequently. I’ve aged out of The Bachelor’s demographic, but I hope that good grammar will be appreciated one day. Rather like vinyl records are coming back after CDs were so popular.
  12. By any chance, is the actress playing Miss Scarlet going to have a baby? Her coats and apron last night put the question in my head. But as for the plot, I’m still not sure who sent the bombs: the executive or the boxer? But I liked the booby-trap action and 3/1 wire tension.
  13. It was a nails-on-chalkboard moment for me when Pete told Isaac about Jenkins “telling Thor and I” about Christmas Eve. Grammar counts!
  14. I’m overthinking this show. Otherwise, there were no property lines when Thor and Sass (possibly Isaac) died, and Hetty’s family probably had more land in the 19th century than the 20th. I’ll buy your explanation. But I have to say, my crush on Jay grows each week. I think he has the hardest job in the house, and yet he takes everything in stride.
  15. What would happen if the 2 properties had the same owners? If the property lines move, will the range increase? Thoughts inspired by insomnia…..
  16. I liked it. The episode made me laugh. Dan is the best, but he’s had 40 years to get his character down. The others are coming along.
  17. Nice time of year to learn Moses’s full name. Think we’ll find out why he was in Madrid next week? Is Inspector Wellington smart enough to see through the overplanning? I was on the fence; I’ve now picked a side. Just getting older doesn’t mean you’ve grown up.
  18. I’m overthinking this, but I was half-expecting Sam to carry the device outside to the car, where sitcommy hijinks would ensue and the car ghost would be the third. By some random technological reason, her experience with the machine would free her from the car limits. But Jay’s solution was much better. Atari! I remember when they were new…..
  19. Arabella lives with her mother, not at the restaurant; I doubt he spent the night. But just when Phelps displayed the ghost of being a good guy, he buries.
  20. Two good episodes without the Duke: maybe the show should be renamed? Moses was entertaining last night. Will we ever find out about Madrid?
  21. This is now available on Prime Video! Found it by accident. Anyone know when it was added?
  22. I like Nash for Eliza: he’s never told her to find something else to do, but encourages her work. His ethics leave a bit to be desired, but he isn’t beyond redemption.
  23. Half-way through the episode, and I have no idea who’s right. Great episode!
  24. I don’t know if he did or not, but there is - in my opinion - reasonable doubt. It seems as if it took years, and the lack of an arrest of anyone else, for the arrest to come. But one detective’s opinion on shoe prints? Were the original investigators so clueless that they never tried to match the prints to the actual shoes in 1982? I don’t know he didn’t do it, but there are still questions.
  25. I thought the daughter mentioned the bad man at the same time she drew the pictures. Is that wrong? As for the staging, it was done by someone who left an ax in a human head. A lack of logic is not surprising. But the letter was sent by someone who sounded like drawing attention to the husband was the whole point.
