  1. 10 years ago, I saw the memorial display in Harrod’s. It was discomforting to see, knowing that his grief was behind it. Disturbing is how I would describe it. I felt sorry for Mou Mou’s desperation, but didn’t buy his theories.
  2. First, 20/20 did this case. A month ago, Dateline profiled it. What can 48 Hours show in 60 minutes that the other 2 didn’t show in 120?
  3. I felt for David in this episode, but Olivia really stood out. She tried her best, but Frasier was insufferable.
  4. I grade the papers of college students. Despite all the information literacy and lateral reading workshops, Tina Brown and other editorial authors are treated as authorities when such views align with whatever point the student is presenting. I get the sinking feeling that some of these students consider The Crown non-fiction.
  5. In an already strong episode, Alan was the best part for me. The end credits film with the white suit and black cat and villainous expression made me chuckle. I can’t decide if raiding the ark or romancing the stone was my favorite reference.
  6. Agree that Eve is very social, but knowing a lot of people and knowing them well enough to set the potential couples up together are different kinds of knowledge. I know a lot of people through my work, but would never attempt to match them up. David’s presence might have shortened the farce set-up, but otherwise, I didn’t miss him either. I do wish there had been more screen time for Eve’s play.
  7. The whole idea seemed a bit lecherous. Eve is young and probably does not know many middle-aged women, but both possibilities are too young for anyone who gets a senior discount.
  8. I appreciated the care the detectives took in dressing for the interviews. The ties really popped on the tv.
  9. Since my Peacock access is about to be dropped (thanks Xfinity!), the non-ending of this show makes me realize that that is no great loss. I want those hours of my life back.
  10. One guilty culprit of this was the tornado episode of Desperate Housewives: the warning came in the morning, the tornado in the evening. Some residents boarded up windows in the interim. The kindest explanation is the writers don’t know the difference between a hurricane and a tornado. But this entire season leaned heavily on the drama; there wasn’t enough comedy. Baby CeeCee has the most beautiful eyes!
  11. I’m guessing it was prom ghost that went to the final place. Or maybe her new boyfriend? Will we find out in four months or longer? The writer’s strike has me nervous about the upcoming season.
  12. Too bad it had to be split over two weeks. It is much stronger when viewed in a single session.
  13. How can Abby help people as a judge if she gets disbarred? For someone who’s risen that high in the system, she has no idea how it works. Olivia and Gurgs are the dynamic duo of the show. Liked the visualization.
  14. Poor Pete! Bad knees, and a bad round of Rock/paper/scissors/axe.
  15. Superficial of me, but Olivia’s peach suit really popped on screen.
  16. I’m watching the 4/21 episode live and got called away, but I’m at the part of the interview with Knight and wife. Has any reason been given for DNA tests, or not getting one?
  17. CeeCee’s eyes are so big! Such a photogenic baby. That scene made Mary’s yay-this description stand out more.
  18. Bangs: All pretzels have twists! Pony: Not pretzel rods! I’m paraphrasing, but this was a great exchange. More Pony and Bangs, please.
  19. Most of the episodes are better when the action stays in court, or at least the courthouse. The side trips are klunky.
  20. I did laugh when Paige’s mom said she dropped Paige at her dad’s and went to Hawaii rather than eat the non-refundable ticket. But I feel sorry for Paige: her parents have no clue. The Coopers, while troubled, love the kids.
  21. A phone call was received right before the singing started, so this episode was paused at that point. It wasn’t the most gripping conversation, so my mind started to wander, to the point where I convinced myself that Alisha/Alicia was going to sing like I do: very bad. Would it have been funnier if she couldn’t sing?
  22. Have you seen the tabloid photos of the 20-something woman who has the body of an 8-year-old and her boyfriend who shares a chronological age? I couldn’t get the images out of my head when Abby stood by Rand.
  23. Where to start with this? I thought it was an awesome episode. Trying to involve Jay, all the L’il Pete mentions, the description of hell (although my reaction to the song was close to Trevor’s), and Jay and the 3 blind mice in the kitchen. Can’t wait for the rerun!
  24. Historic sources provide the evidence that support the stories. These are either written or physical/artifacts that can be evaluated by people interested in the topic. Without evidence, what is it? Not history, even though the book is, ironically, based more in facts than the musical Hamilton.
