  1. The brothel scenes were amazing and disturbing and really brought the book to life. I loved Sally and the boy singing in that grating falsetto. I'm still really liking what they've done with the story and I hope they tell the backstories of Mary, Cyrus, and Stevie soon.
  2. Maybe not dislike, but in the book, Roosevelt was the one that brought Kreizler into the investigation and in the show, he seems to be against Kreizler's participation.
  3. Savannah31401, I just read about Caleb Carr's dad. You can see where a lot of Carr's own experiences are used in the Alienist. His dad's situation with the stalker is crazy!
  4. I loved the casting, costuming, etc. in this mini series. I can't wait for the rest of the episodes to see the reason for all the differences between the show and the book.
  5. I was So happy when I saw the commercials for this. I love the casting! After watching the sneak peak tonight, I'm interested in why they made some of the changes, especially Roosevelt's dislike for Kreizler.
  6. I Loved how Elena talked to her date. 'EAT THIS! IT'S GOOD FOR YOU!' I only got a quick glimpse at John's date. Was it one of his sisters?
  7. How many times did Pao's roots change during this episode? She should have kept it black because they blonde is starting to look like straw and costs a fortune to maintain. The only couple that vaguely has a chance of making it is Loren and Alex. I think they're the only ones that married because the actually love eachother. Not saying they're perfect but they do strike me as being in love. Chantal and Pedro are too immature for marriage and the other two couples are a joke. So glad Jorge is not my brother. He's a lying, lumpy, whipped POS and I couldn't have his back.
  8. Why do people like Pao think any fool can walk into a bar and get a bartending job. People usually work their way up and while it's not rocket science, it takes some skill and personality. It can also be pretty lucrative. Pao needs to be a shot girl in a club or something and Russ needs to be somewhere where he can work in his industry. 'Rosacea Jabba' killed me!
  9. I don't understand the apology Mohammed had to make to Danielle's family. She was the one that imported a Tunisian boy toy and put him before her family. So sick of her victim crap.
  10. I think Mohammed is a POS but Danielle makes me cringe every time she's on the screen. First of all, those crazy faces she makes when Mohammed is talking freak me out and secondly, when I look at her all I can think of are smelly, leaky lady parts.
  11. So glad nobody believes the trafficking story. Working in juvenile justice, I've been around girls who have been abused and pimped from a very young age. I even knew a a girl who was sold to a drug dealer by her dad and one that would be kicked out of the home without pants and couldn't come back until she had money. But there were no planes or trips to Europe, just straight up rape for money. No eating feces or killing babies, just poverty and old pervs. This kind of fake crap takes away from the real victims of trafficking. Gross.
  12. I hope his mother rots. That poor miserable kid out all his trust in her and she used him in the worst possible way. If anyone ever needed to get high to forget, it's Robbie.
  13. I got a blood draw a couple weeks ago and the lady doing it mentioned she was from Lopez Island. I mentioned that someone from there was on Alone and apparently she is friends with Callie, which wasn't too surprising since that community is tiny. She said Callie is exactly the same on the show as she is in real life but she's afraid to watch because she doesn't want to see her mauled by a Puma...
  14. The girl with Middle Eastern Heritage was busted for heroin. Between Buckwild, Intervention, and Teen Mom 2, West Virginia sounds like the pill capital of the US...
  15. I kept hoping that they would mention that Sturgill was friends with the cast of MTV's Buckwild, which I believe was in Sissonville. Several of them turned out to be into opiates as well.
