  1. I wanted more of her and David Tennant! I know there's like six combined years worth of Doctor Who they're on, but they don't go so hard on the accents!
  2. Hey, Bart making everyone hopped up on nicotine patches was an accident this time! And oh no, it was to get out of the square dancing class in gym! Thank you, Henry Ford. Karen Gillan went all out as Maisie, and I was here for it. As did David Tennant voicing her dad. Of all people LEOPOLD showed up to the wedding! And according to Michael Price, he was supposed to have a line, but it got cut. Take THAT, Edinburgh Fringe Festival. "It's clever without being good!" But maaaan, does everyone sound egregiously old in this one, especially Julie as Marge. Like I said before, Marge episodes will continue until morale improves. I'm with Homer when it comes to destination weddings. And weddings in general. And we'll never see Maisie again, despite apparently moving into Willie's Shack during the Belle & Sebastian song (which was great)
  3. Tyrannis JUST NOW realized that he's not a full human? He's the son of a shapeshifting goddess and what I'm sure is a manticore, I'm surprised a tail was all he grew. The Pegasus plot was a lot more disturbing than I expecting. Unicorns are baby pegasus (and are birth by eggs in bee-like hives), and killing the mother kills all the unicorns. Okay then.
  4. Season 35, ep 8: AE Bonny Romance Airs 12/3/23 at 8:30 again.
  5. Cold Open: Out of all things I was expecting for this, Sarah as Wolf Blitzer was NOT on that list. I WAS expecting the show to trip over itself to take advantage of the last time George Santos, Princess of Genovia, will remain relevant. And here I thought he was gonna sing "Hallelujah," but a spoof of "Candle in The Wind" was more fitting. Monologue: Cutting to Emma Stone's husband Lorne was great. It was great to see Tina Fey and Candace Bergen again, and they still got it! Loved the digs at John Mulaney and Woody Harrelson. Question Quest: This was so stupid, I love it. Just an excuse for Joe Vibin (Iove the name) to give away his giant tortoise. I was dying at everything Punkie said. "SAME COLOR PENIS!" Fully Naked in New York: Fun song. And EVERYONE was naked, not just Emma and Bowen! Pine River Lodge: Wow, another one of these Lounge Singer sketches. I couldn't get over Emma's lipstick job. Please Don't Destroy: Punkie as the fake Emma Stone was killing me. It just got sillier and sillier with all the fake AI faces, loved it. What's in The Kiln?: Gotta love an Aidy/Kate sketch but with Chloe and Heidi. Didn't strike me as strong as the other sketches. WU: Yeah, big news week. RIP to a former first lady, secretary of state, and SCOTUS Justice. George Santos was all three of those things! And here I was expecting Bowen to play the cigarette. That was a great bit, though. Mama: Troast as Mama Cass was A+ casting. Emma Stone was having a lot of fun in this one, just letting loose and being silly. Talking Posters: Huh, another one of these sketches. "You're an instagram model and you host an unpopular podcast!" Diet Coke by Olay: I definitely got vibes of the Crystal Gravy commercial for this, in a good way. Just incredibly horrifying, just splashing Diet Coke on yourself. This was definitely a pre-record meant to be slotted in when there's not enough time, since Emma wasn't in this one. Well, Weird SNL came out to play tonight, and the show was better for it. Got two strong hosts to finish the year: Adam Driver next week, and Kate McKinnon after that.
  6. Ice T's actually voicing himself this time? Rad! Someone was imitating him the first time around.
  7. Completely wild episode. So it's the clothes that make Roger's personas work. Makes just as much sense as anything. Weird, since Stan needed a Roger suit to wear under them. I was dying at Roger's Kohl's Cash Cab. We got callbacks to Vince Chung, the ep where Steve had boobs, and Bar Mitzvah Hustle! AND Toshi got to speak! XXXX Tavern looked exactly like Moe's but with a different sign. And interior.
  8. Yeah, I laughed every time Morty yelled "OPEN YOUR MIIIIIND!" You'd think Kuato references would be played out by now, but this show found a way to keep it fresh.
  9. Finally, a Summer adventure! And Morty becomes her Kuato. And then they get trafficked and Morty got Taken'd. And then the villain was a Kuato in a Kuato in another Kuato. A gloriously stupid episode. I haven't laughed that hard in a while.
  10. "I'm Cleveland Brown, and I know my show was better than this." At this point, probably. Once again an episode about how Lois is the boring one of the family, while Peter is the one that gets into whatever shenanigans caught his eye this week. I caught Michaela Dietz (Amethyst from Steven Universe!) as Peter's babysitter.
  11. Neighbor: Boyz II Mend Male Tailors Exterminator: Spray It Ain't So Burger of The Day: The Electric Light Okra-Slaw Burger. I saw two in the flashbacks, but didn't catch them. Big Bob episode! Great to see the Scramble Pan again. (From Dawn of The Deck!) But it was also a fun "kids get into shenanigans" plot. Clamstrodamus reminded me of when I went to Sesame Place as a kid and was able to handle your own Muppet. And each kid's turn was totally them: Louise trolls, Gene asks for food, Tina hits on boys. "Eh, it's hard to look normal for this long." Too relatable, Teddy. He's a gentle soul, but yeah, he does come off as kinda creepy and weird out of context. "The food here takes the murder out of people's eyes!" I'd hang Teddy's review on the wall.
  12. In Family Guy's spot, to boot. It'll move into Bob's Burger's spot in February because Grimsburg will take its place there.
  13. We finally got to see the saga of Jeff's new hat! Loved all the old callbacks on top of THAT. Morning Mimosa! Shoutouts to Regananomics Lambourghini, Twill Ogenbone, and Ricky Spanish (everyone waiting for the whisper killed me)! Roger being on the run from the CIA (and that he has several personas that hang out with and/or had sex with Bullock)! All the old clips but with the guy in the Roger suit! I was dying at Audit Dogs. "We're making The Wire, but good!" And I loved everything about Stan and Roger making plans while getting drunk on mimosas. And then they went to a taping of Morning Mimosa. Then drank more mimosas. Also, Roger's species eats humans. That's certainly new. Odd that it never came up in Lost in Space. (But it does explain why Jeff was the only human there)
  14. That was Seth as Boston Stewie?! I couldn't even tell! I was wondering which Boston comedian they got for him! Oh yeah, I needed stitches for that one.
  15. Yep, they show up to drop off Taz and leave. That Rick gave off the vibe of not wanting to even be there, no wonder they were begging for death. Since it was Maurice LaMarche voicing one of them, I got vibes of The Big Brain from Futurama.
  16. I was not expecting the auditor to be a talking rock that observes everything. And so we get this season's "Morty's Mindblowers." And then Morty gets it killed and then Rick and Morty are put on trial by other Observers. They showed on actual clip in this clip show (the giant trial), I couldn't believe it. Not only did Rick kill the versions of him and Morty that were in Space Jam, and they welcomed death, begged for it. And oh no, Churry is gonna be the new Evil Morty, isn't he?
  17. I honestly thought Marge was gonna bring up that she counted every time Homer said some variation of "look into my eyes and believe me," and that the variant of touching his prostate would've been something like "three."
  18. Stewie has another half-brother out there, and he was a Boston Townie. It was weird seeing Stewie revert back to early series Evil Stewie. Hell, this whole episode seemed to be a throwback to the early years. There were a ton of cutaways (my favorite being the one with Timothee Chalamet flying away in the wind in Dune)
  19. Neighbor: Boomer Bangs Middle-Aged Haircuts Exterminator: Gnat My Problem Burger(s) of The Day: Everything Everywhere All At Quince Burger I love that everyone is invested in the saga of Little King Trash Mouth. At least Linda, Tina, and Teddy. It was great seeing Mr. Huggins again, and getting down to the music! "This song makes me want to shake my potty parts!" "They're all potty parts, honey!" I really like it when Andy & Ollie get screen time. And man, I was feeling that existential dread in Bob's plot. Yeah, to be stuck in a job because you know you can't do anything else? Totally not relatable at all.
  20. So Will Forte invented pants. I was glad to see Daphne again. "Intriguing little bitch." So all of Deliria's kids want to distance themselves from her, so Stupendous goes on DnD quests to be her own person. Makes sense. And of course Deliria gets all of Stupendous's adventuring buddies killed by a titan. The Monsterdon had a cool design, but, uh, there's aliens in this show now.
  21. Title: Turkey flying through! Couch Gag: Paper Hand Turkey! I really liked the animation in this one. Future!Marge actually sounded her age. And somehow still alive in 60 years. And man, was Harry Shearer's Burns sounding particularly rough. I got a big laugh out of Quimby's Hunger/Squid Game being just the town trying to kill Milhouse. (And Milhouse happy he got picked once for something) "I grew up in a cruel world like this. Either the thirties or the fifties, whichever makes sense now." I liked Grampa in this one. The town moving the Simpsons (and Flanders!) house because they were sick of them was certainly something they hadn't tried before.
  22. Season 35, ep 7: It's a Blunderful Life Airs 11/19/23 We get the show's third ever Thanksgiving episode! Hopefully it's a good one.
  23. Anyone else expecting a white male country singer and getting...the complete opposite?
  24. Cold Open: We still going with Mikey Day as Biden, aren't we? And we've got Bowen in a costume, this time as a panda. Monologue: I couldn't get over how red Jason Momoa's chest was. I liked his enthusiasm. Masters of The Pen: Just doing silly things in front of a camera and none of them had to speak, easiest sketch in the world. Roman Empire: And here I thought the punchline was gonna be that the men were thinking about literally nothing. Of course little boys are thinking about dinosaurs. Bouncers: Marcello doing a fun accent and everyone trying to match him was fun. Hudson News Thanksgiving Airport Parade: Oh, it's a sequel to the great First Nice Day in NYC Parade sketch. We had dogs AND a kid in this sketch, to boot. And we finally got a sketch with the airplane freakout lady. I love sketches when the whole cast gets to shine. Please Don't Destroy: Thinking about food when a friend is going through a tough moment in their lives. We've all been there. "I got a prescription, and the only ramen is more fever!" WU: George Santos jokes have yet to get old. Same for jokes about Eric Adams. And what the hell was the context of that LLJ Cool J clip? I was surprised to see THREE guests tonight. So Remember Lizards was Imagine Dragons's Opposite Band? Fiance: A Cast Away sketch in 2023. Loved that the audience popped for Dismukes going shirtless more than Jason. Untold Battle of The Sexes: Since Sarah was the lead of the sketch, I was wondering what the twist was gonna be. A tennis ball straight through her stomach, and then another slicing her head off, was not on my list. Taxi: Fun, dumb sketch that was improved by having Kenan react to it. All in all, okay episode. Emma Stone hosts November 2nd.
  25. I'm disappointed that Jack Hardass wasn't Roger. Instead he tried to be the magic walls from Encanto. I just love that the Smiths trying to act normal just kept failing so spectacularly. And then the REAL Jack Hardass showed up. Was NOT expecting the Hobbit actors to be the one that kidnapped Steve. Stan's come a long way from thinking Elvish is the Jewish Elvis, and now buys LOTR props to flip to collectors. It was great seeing Buckle again and his lack of an inside voice. "Pernicious Boyd has my Precious Boy and wants My Precious, boy!"
