  1. So the NFT cartoon (that quietly dropped that part of its premise) is doing an NFT episode. Little audacious here. But it was more like the dangers of introducing capitalism, and inflation. So none of that even remotely happened. Deliria wanted offerings in money once she learns what it is, Shlub takes over a bar because he wants to get blasted for free. I am really liking Deliria and Shlub's relationship. It reminds me of Nadja and Laszlo from What We Do in the Shadows. Just two immortal beings (at least Deliria is) horny for each other. And was all a drug dream Demeter had that was also the origin of Wal-Mart.
  2. Well...the pilot was okay. I'll give it a few more episodes to see if it improves.
  3. Since no one made a thread for it yet: Grimsburg S01.E01: Pilot Detective Marvin Flute returns to his hometown of Grimsburg to solve a crime that has the whole town caught in its web and figure out how to prove himself to his ex-wife and son. 4. I was about to say the same thing. Someone should get on that. EDIT: Oh, I did.
  5. I thought of you during this whole episode.
  6. You'd think Homer would be good at fishing, since that seemed to define his character in the early days like bowling. So Homer and Bart's bond is cheating at bottom of the barrel sports (like barrel scraping). I liked how Grady's ___ Gloves and Krusty Burger sponsored every sport. And the entire plot was the show commenting on that college application cheating scandal. Marge was inspired to doctor Lisa's summer camp application because of Homer and Bart. And the University of Springfield Camp (USC!) was corrupt and didn't care. Eh. I did like that their Cheating Department was Sam Bankman-Fried Hall.
  7. Season 35, ep 10: Do The Wrong Thing Airs 12/24/23 Yes, you read that right. There's a new episode on Christmas Eve, and it's not even a Christmas episode. I think it's because there's not gonna be a new episode for a while.
  8. Damn, that was good. There was a reason why there were only three pictures on the wall.
  9. Bob: "Dad's back, too." Tina: "Good to see ya, man!" That caught me so off guard, that was probably my favorite line of the episode. Bob has his obsession with the turkey, Linda has hers about the Christmas Tree. Honestly, same. I wanted to see more weird rooms and gadgets. But love that Bob and Linda got stuck with the one with the kid beds while the kids got rooms with real beds. I bet Felix was forced to bunk in the twin bed room.
  10. Yes, singing a new song. I work in retail, I am VERY familiar with that song.
  11. And teaching Camille to lie created an algorithm, which is what ruined everything in the end. That was honestly clever.
  12. "There, you happy? Loud Man like variety." So Klaus is canonically 58? That tracks. We've had a "Stan can't deal with Steve becoming a man and overtaking him," but this time combined with his intensity towards Christmas. We even got a new Scott Grimes song out of it. I knew Nice Santa couldn't be trusted. Oh, THIS was the virtual world that's been in the trailer. Love that Hayley's model was just Matrix code. I appreciated the show taking advantage of Roger's super speed to get to the North Pole quickly. Gotta love Klaus and Rogu saving the day. And everyone having to smell Stan's nog farts the whole way home. Honestly, I would've died if this was the last line of the episode:
  13. Starting at Carnivale in Brazil already seems like a return to classic Archer. It was great seeing Barry again, now a demon fridge by way of a Game Boy interface. And now a demon vacuum. LOVED the reveal that his new body was action figure size. Caught the old ISIS sign among the trash pile. Archer jetpacking naked through the skies of Rio just to get back as Slater and destroying Christ The Redeemer at the same time? Gotta be one of the craziest things to happen on this show. Slater just HAD to drop the "I know who Archer's Dad is" bomb just before he died, didn't he? I liked that Archer chose not to find out. So, the final bosses of the show are Slater and Katya. Man, they're just bringing back everyone for the finale, aren't they? Borris, Rip Riley, AJ, even a "sploosh." And Archer finally doing with Katya AND Barry in one mind? Loved that. Krieger can't remember how Tom Sawyer goes? Yeah...that's totally not good. Loved how everyone got a time to shine. And Archer and Pam ride off into the sunset, in a cat and mouse game with Lana. I really want to see more of Krieger's werewolves. People, it's been a pleasure. I hated to see this end, but this was a way more satisfying end than what that last season was.
  14. Definitely not him. Also, this was the last episode to air on Sundays. The show returns Wednesday March 6th.
  15. So the death of network tv means Kevin James is out of a job and has to live with the Griffins, and he needs an audience or else he fades away forever. Merry Christmas, everyone.
  16. People didn't like the fourth Thor movie. That's all I can think of.
  17. Neighbor: The Towering Intern-O Tall Temp Service Exterminator: Gnat If I Can Help It The Fischoeder hunting mansion was 90 miles away. Judging from the beautiful scenery, it had to be in Pennsylvania. I loved all the creepy falcon imagery, and all the beds. Loved that Bob and Linda were stuck in the twin beds room while the kids all got rooms with the big beds. "We did our best." "That doesn't sound like us." Once again Linda is so obsessed with the Christmas tree that she was willing to risk her life to get hers back. But good on her for finally leaving it behind.
  18. I'll be honest, I would've loved the Nerd Boat cruise. The Pacific Princess Leia was a grade-A pun, as was Flando Calrissian. I was too distracted looking at all the cosplayers. I caught Sherri and Terri as the Wonder Twins, and Milo and Strawberry as Stretch Dude and Clobber Girl. Also loved the guy dressed as Hedonismbot (voiced by Maurice La Marche!) I also loved the Avatar volleyball game (Na'vi vs Last Airbender!) and the Doctor Who Pickleball game with Doctors that weren't Tom Baker (it was One and Thirteen vs Ten and Eleven). The starfucking of Taika Waititi didn't age too well. People don't like him now for whatever reason. I knew he was the culprit. But I did like how the motive was because his show got Zaslav'd.
  19. Tyrannis is obsessed with validation. He truly is Deliria's son. I liked how Camille the Hydra was the show's take on introducing smart phones/the internet with all of her interconnected heads. That was hnestly a clever idea. Complete with social media, online dating, conspiracy theories, and incels. "What do you want?" "Love, the making of it!" I honestly loved that the whole episode led to the origin of Cancer (the constellation) The Crab (the public lice) and how the tangent involved the death of Carrie Fisher and why fall comes after summer.
  20. Season 35, ep 9: Murder, She Boat Airs 12/17/23 (34 years to the day of the first episode!) at 8:30pm again.
  21. Cold Open: Christmas Awards! Finally, something different! I really liked this one. Loved that "Most Dangerous Plug" was awarded posthumously. Monologue: I love seeing Kate again. "Freak Next to Hot Person" really is the role she was born to play. I did love her playing the tiny piano (had to be callback to last week) It was great to see Maya again. And Kristen Wiig, too. Weird that Maya showed up, since she wasn't in the cast at the same time as Kate. Were Aidy and Cecily not available? North Pole News: This was an excuse for Kate to channel Quint from Jaws and throw up some skittles. The best bit was The Grinch posting the Michael Jackson eating popcorn gif on twitter. Nothing's beating Eddie Murphy's "IT DON'T MATTER WHAT MY NAME IS" version. Pongo: HE JUST IS. Yeah, Pongo creeped me out. I loved this the more unhinged Sarah got. ABBA Christmas: Oh, Kristen and Maya are in this. Yeah, Bowen was the perfect addition to this team. Yeah, they were all just trying to make each other break by being on top of each other. That's what saved this sketch for me. Presents: Kate was totally channeling my mom every Christmas. The best gift giver of the family, yet every gift is the worst thing she could've given. "Pu me in a home" "Write God a letter and tell him to take me early." Probably the hardest I've laughed at this show in a while. Tampon Farm: This was a silly one. Definitely Kate channeling Melissa Ethridge. Billie Eillish 1: Don't know why there was a montage of baby pictures of all the women cast members (and Maya and Kristen) over the song, but I appreciated it. WU: Jokes about Giuliani will never get old. The Mayor of "$9.11" indeed. Also loved how salty everyone got over the New Jersey/Albert Einswein joke. I knew that a Joke Swap was on the Bingo card, but I don't think anyone saw bringing in an old lady and having them do the jokes in front of her coming at all. I take it back, THAT was the hardest I've laughed at this show in a while. Yankee Swap: And here I thought the twist was that someone was gonna steal the cure for Sickle Cell from Kenan. That everyone wanted to trade it for Boogie Woogie Santa? That was great. Meet Me in St. Louis: First Cass Elliot, now Judy Garland. Chloe Troast is certainly swinging for the fences. Honestly this could've been better. If anything, Kate wasn't unhinged enough. And that's in a sketch where she chainsaws a snowman that still had a person in it. Whiskers R We: Yay, I missed this sketch! The cats were, again, adorable. And Billie Eillish is somehow Kate's character's daughter. Man, this was a fun one! The show returns January 20th with Jacob Elordi. Whoever that is.
  22. Can't wait! I really loved the first season. There's really no show that looks or sounds like this, it really needs all the love it can get.
  23. Got a giant laugh out of Stan not getting out of bed for the theme song and everyone waiting for him. I love how he lost all his money investing in, of all things, porn pogs. And I got an even bigger laugh out of the image of Stan's caved in face. The taped up face was slightly more horrifying to look at. Man, Hayley's selling out by pushing snake oil armadillo arthritis medicine onto doctors for Big Pharm. And taking it attracts bears, coyotes, and komodo dragons. I loved the chimputees, and that one showed up at the end.
  24. So like Rick to have Bigfoot in a Poke Ball. And somehow the Vikings know what Dragonballs are. Oh man, that Bigfoot kills Rick prediction came true after all. It took seven seasons, but Rick finally fought The Pope. And then caught him in a Poke Popey Ball. Loved Rick gathering the classic Universal monsters together to fight The Pope (and somehow all of Frankenstein's parts made it to Valhalla). Loved the underground Pokemon battle at the end, with Clone Rick becoming the New Pope.
