  1. So, this ends with Archer doing what he does best: hating Fabian's guts. Those punches, vomiting, and hand chopping were a long time coming. And now we know why Zara was kept around: to use her Interpol ID to break Fabian out. Of course Cheryl purposefully screws up her paperwork so she's technically not an employee so she won't pay taxes. And also rat everyone out to the UN. And private spy agencies are now illegal. Hell of a way to end. It's been an honor. 14 seasons, and I've been here for all of it. The NYCC panel is on Friday and I'll be going to it. They'll either announce another season OR a grand finale movie. They wouldn't advertise the panel on TV if the announcement was anything else. This wasn't supposed to be the last season, FXX outright cancelled it.
  2. Nelson's mom if I remember. But still.
  3. And that it made him popular with the gods because he pissed off Zeus...then abandoned him when he got punished. It tracks for mythology.
  4. And she's voiced by Sheryl Lee Ralph! We NEED to see her again!
  5. I work in supermarkets, and yes, telling people an aisle number so they'd leave you alone while you disappear into the produce mist works every time. I wasn't really feeling the Brian/Joe plot until the true crime creators all converged and fought each other. I'm upset they didn't actually get Keith Morrison. I caught Josh Robert Thompson in the credits, that had to be who voiced him. It's very similar to his Morgan Freeman.
  6. I mean, becoming a surrogate mother and the baby daddies ghosting her when the baby was born was pretty bad.
  7. Neighbor: I Want You To Want Tea Exterminator: Do The Mite Thing Rudy episode! Man, I really love the feeling of scale with him as the focus. The voices of the adults and the background music were muted. I knew it was gonna make me cry, and it did. I wanna give that boy a hug. I had a magic phase when I was young, too. Even did the "solidifying water" trick. I don't think it worked for me, either. The Louise/Rudy shippers got some good food tonight, I'll tell you that. Loved the names of the stores in the mall: Better Off Head, Let's Give Em Something To Tchotchke About, and the magic store Wands Wands Wands. I would kill for Esmerelda despite only knowing her for two minutes. "Well, maybe Santa's from the streets." Line of the night.
  8. This was the first ep I've liked so far. I'm here wondering if Stupendous is actually half giant, mostly because her nose doesn't look like any the Cyclops had. I hope we see Heracles again, doing his labors even though someone already did them for him.
  9. They made Baby Bart and Lisa in Marge's dreams so adorable. But man, Marge is gonna have those existential thoughts forever. It's been 35 years, Bart and Lisa will never grow up...but what if they finally do? And Homer's right, lots of Bart's futures have him with kids not long after he graduates high school (not unlike them, come to think of it), so she won't have to feel like having an empty nest. I thought this one was really good. (Although some of us have a really high bar when it comes to Marge these days) Man, they're really able to make Sick Marge look especially gross. And the animation was really stellar, especially when the house was collapsing around Marge, and the Terminator 2 reference. "She's as smart as Old Sheldon!" "It's like going to work on time: there's no point."
  10. Yeah Shlub is pretty typical in how horny the gods were. Mostly Zeus. Even though he's a manticore. The character design threw me a bit until I realized that she's a cyclops. She didn't lose an eye, she never had a second one.
  11. Season 35, ep 2: A Mid-Childhood Night's Dream Airs 10/8/23
  12. Apparently this wasn't supposed to be the final season, FXX just straight up cancelled it. That's why this season doesn't feel like it's leading anywhere, and how they introduced a new character that was just gonna be around for this one.
  13. Next week's the last one. Apparently this wasn't meant to be the final season. FX just cancelled it.
  14. So, Lana spares no expense for a giant control center to make sure nothing goes wrong on a mission, and naturally everything goes wrong amazingly quick. Hubris and Cheryl are not a good combo. The moment Lana and Cheryl went to get drunk I thought "...She forgot to account for extractions, didn't she?" She did. So...is everyone but Archer and Cyril dead after that? Of course Archer gets distracted by wanting to bang the hacker's mom. And of course it actually works out for him. And of course Pam would name her team Ballsfor (slapping your chin!) I really liked Krieger and Zara becoming buddies. Can't believe we missed him going ham on some bats with what appeared to be a lightsaber.
  15. Absolutely. But all the Lewises was a good consolation prize. I love Exposition Lewis. I was expecting to see a White Lewis considering we saw a few Black Steves. Also, the Keith David character had red skin for some reason and never explained. Still voiced by Curtis Armstrong not changing the voice. And in a universe where babies love stress and wine? Roger would love it there! Line of the night was "Gwen rarely comes to visit and Stan's brother is barely even canon."
  16. Oh man, Infinite American Dads! Honestly, some of those intros should've been the original one. So the show pulls a Rick & Morty and has an Evil Steve killing all the other Steves to absorb their Steveness to become The Ultimate Steve. And then (our) Principal Lewis runs him over. As someone also named Steve, this was pretty disorienting. So some of the Christmas episodes and a few other episodes (I'm assuming the Tearjerker ones) are all separate universes. Loved Vengeance Lewis and Exposition Lewis interacting with Principal Lewis. Honestly tickled that Vengeance Lewis's universe didn't have drugs, porn, or STDs. And it was all a setup to quote the Shaggy song. Love it. Loved seeing Reggie again, and the 4:3 American Dad (with Roger wanting Pecan Sandies) Got a big laugh out of Francine eating Steve's ashes. I mean, it was also one of the lessons in Guardians of The Galaxy 3!
  17. Yeah, I wasn't too much of a fan of this one. I did like that Stewie turned Jeffrey's murder mystery show into a cutaway so he could go see it.
  18. We're back! No intro, what a ripoff! The backgrounds were really nice. Also loved the shot of the kids and the horse looking over the rocks. The horse was so angry! I loved the animation on Pepperoni so much. Also loved Louise's giant cowboy boots. "The Merriffs? That's what I call them." It was great seeing Marshmallow again.
  19. I actually love that Homer has a fake safety console at work (filled with unsold Mr. Burns funkos!), and everyone else is, you know, actually competent at their jobs. The opening bit with Otto's acid trip had really good animation. Who voiced Flexulon? I couldn't place it. Didn't see anyone out of the ordinary in the credits. Homer became corrupt much sooner than usual. I couldn't help but think "we have Homer The Vigilante at home." I did like how it was all a commentary on the militarization of local police. I knew catching Thin Orange Line flags and Punisher stickers were inevitable. They can use those, it's Disney synergy. It's still weird to see Chief Wiggum and Mayor Quimby being somewhat competent at their jobs. Liked the six-way war between the crossing guards, cops, ICE, the TSA, the lifeguards, the meter maids, and the overzealous neighborhood watch guys. And it was all solve by Otto running over Homer. Seldom seen characters I caught tonight: Alison Taylor and her dad, plus Mike Wegmen and the Yes Guy among the crossing guards.
  20. Yes! It is new tonight! Season 35, ep 1: Homer's Crossing Airs 10/1/23
  21. Of course Krieger looks down on plastic surgery. Anyone could put plastic in a body, but only he can give you tiger feet. Loved seeing him try to bond with and corrupt the surgeon. And then turning her into some kind of tentacle monster abomination. "Now GRAFT THAT HORN." Never change, Krieger. Man, a lifetime of spywork made Archer so broken that surgery could kill him. And realism and an existential crisis set in for him. He's not invincible, but he's aware that he has main character plot armor a stupid amount of luck, and maybe this adventure will make him hang up his tactileneck? There's only two episodes left, I wonder how they'll end this, if there will be an actual ending at all/ Man, Blackmail Bribe Day explains so much about how the agency was able to get away with all their shenanigans over the years. And the bribes and blackmail are what keeping NYC from falling apart. And it all traces back to John Hodgman Gary.
  22. I, too, thought Gary Gogo was gonna be another Roger persona. Small talk about what I'm up to is the absolute worst, I'm right there with Francine. Hell, people liking me and having expectations of me is probably even worse. I was not expecting the whole episode to have been one giant panic attack, but I like how it turned out. I've been there. Weird Francine episodes tend to be really good ones. Loved Klaus's little PJs. We also got more Buckle, Delmonaco, and Jaspartanian! And an update on Jeff and Barry's project! Twilight Zone. Getting splenda packets "for the road for Jurgen" was line of the night for me.
  23. Oh absolutely. He's talking to nobody, and his chemistry with other people is a big factor of why he works so well.
  24. Well, the animation is good. And the voice cast is good. Matt Berry is playing a horny Matt Berry character and so far he's been the best part of this.
