  1. Tommy didn't deserve that. Tommy did not deserve what happened to him, in both body and soul. And he especially didn't deserve to get Old Yeller'd, like that. Speaking of, I thought Harvey would have done something like smothering him with a pillow. Shooting him is bound to raise a few questions, unless he somehow arranged it so it looked like a suicide, which I highly doubt.
  2. In the comics, Glomgold was always South African, wasn’t he? And they just changed it in the 1980s show because of Apartheid? I think my favorite moment of the Caballeros episode went as followed: Donald: I’ve done nothing with my life! I’m a failure! Scrooge: Oh, you’ve never let that bother you, before. Me: *Laughs Way Too Loud*
  3. If you’re going to be typecast in a role type, at least it’s a fun sounding one.
  4. It’s too bad Battibat’s prison was comeletely destroyed. Would have liked to have seen Sabrina just slam the opened thing down on Father. Blackwell’s desk and ask to get transferred to that conjuring class he promised her.
  5. So, I seemed to have written up an entire post about this episode, but left the page without actually submitting it. Go, me. Luckily the board saved it. I think this is my favorite episode so far. I thought it was very telling that Zelda actually used magic in public in order to prevent Harvey’s dad from hitting him. Isn’t this how the comic Afterlife With Archie started? Gulp.
  6. Interesting that the one actor that played a 100% human is the only one that has seemed to have aged at all...
  7. I feel this is asking to compare an apple to a watermelon, just because of how wildly different they are from each other from tone on down. Having said that, I get the impression that both series are a decent representation of the comics they draw from, with sitcom being more wholesome and family friendly, like the older Archie Comics, and Chilling Adventures being more... not advertiser friendly. And this is from someone who despite watching the sitcom was unaware the characters were connected tonArchie comics until after the show Riverdale debuted.
  8. I’m glad she did. It gave her some much needed humanization. I’ve just found her to be especially awful in this show, so far, so I’ll gladly take anything that softens the edges.
  9. Ooh, we get a visit to NotWarts. I really enjoyed this episode. I pegged Quintin as a ghost the second time he showed up. I do like how Harvey and the rest of Sabrina’s human life are slowly getting dragged into the magical side. I think my favorite part was how Missy from Doctor Who spent all that time getting the stuff to be able to spy on Sabrina... only to get bored by Sabrina and Harvey’s phone call to each other.
  10. True, but real world Wiccans also aren’t considered a species other than human. Unless I was lied to in that interview I did for a paper in college... Anyway, I really enjoyed the first two episodes, especially Sabrina’s relationship with Harvey.
  11. The original show premiered on my 2nd birthday. Neat.
  12. And apparently, at SDCC, they showed a character model that looks very similar to how Merlock looked in the movie. Very, very interesting.
  13. Just finished my catch up of the season. Catherine Tate may have made her bones in comedy, but I thought she was very effective as a villain that made good use of her comedic abilities, striking the perfect balance that made Magica funny, but at the same time clearly a threat that needed to be taken seriously. And she had a killer evil laugh. My number one wish for season two is a loose adaptation of Treasure Of The Lost Lamp. Back in Jaw$, Webby showed Lena the Grimoire Du Merlock. Merlock was the villain from that movie. I can see the two disgraced magic users teaming up to get revenge against our heroes. And in my headcanon, he's voiced by John Barrowman. The Doctor Who connections are already there, why not roll with it?
  14. Magica: Ask your housekeeper’s granddaughter’s new best friend. You have a confusing family structure, you know that?
  15. So... the bad guy wins. And not just by a little, either. This was practically a clean sweep for Hiram. He got everything he wanted, plus getting Archie arrested on trumped up murder charges. But at least Pop’s is no longer under his control. I joke, but I absolutely adore this ridiculous show and hope they go more and more into the crazy. Expecting big, absolutely insane things from the writer of Afterlife With Archie and what he can really do in this melodrama/telenovela.
  16. It’s kinda scary how much the songs fit with all the situations and storylines. If I didn’t know any better, I would have assumed all the songs were made for this episode.
  17. It’s episodes like this one that just confirm, as if there were any doubts, this is my TV Crack, y’all! i love it! It’s so trashy, it’s amazing!
  18. Kinda feeling like this should be the final season. Use this to wrap up dangling plot threads and get some closure on everyone’s stories.
  19. The season’s on Netflix, now, so I can catch up, again! one thing I really like about this show Is that the characters are open with each other. They actually talk to each other about their problems. It’s refreshing. I did not see the reveal of the sugar man coming.
  20. At Bryce’s sentencing, his lawyer mentioned the school district cancelled the baseball season. It wasn’t Tyler specifically, but he certainly brought the issue to everyone’s attention, and unfortunately for him, he was by himself, making him an easy target for Monty’s aggression.
  21. Yeah, that was clearly putting Hannah’s story to bed. Mrs. Baker’s, story, too.
  22. I can’t renember what episode it was in, so I’m placing it in this thread, but Bryce getting an erection from remembering him raping Hannah just cemented him as one of fiction’s greatest monsters, to me.
  23. IIRC, on the Beyond The Reasons special they mentioned it took an entire day to do the stuff at the dance.
  24. I think the group’s attitude is starting to change, if the final scene is any indication. As too little and too late, it may be.
