  1. Where do I start? I thought Derek was a jerk to Amelia initially but he did atone and he knew he was in the wrong. Nice work by PD at the end. I really liked seeing the reactions during the board meeting. You could tell Callie was disappointed in Derek due to his reason for not standing up for Amelia. Nice work by SaRa. Why was Owen so gung ho about demoting Amelia? Yikes. Lovely shade on you Chief of Surgery. Arizona/Dr. Herman. Good grief do I hate this storyline. I think we are supposed to get confident surgeon Arizona from this storyline but my goodness what a mess she is creating for the hospital and the board. This can't end well in that regard. Callie. I'm trying to figure out where she was coming from with regards to Arizona and I can only go with what we have seen so far. In 11x05, she ended it but she wasn't malicious. She told Arizona she wanted her to feel free too. In 11x06 she tried to be nice and talk to Arizona about her living at the hospital and Arizona shut her down. Understandably Arizona is upset but Callie is too. It killed her to end it but she knew it was best for them at this time. I think once Arizona shut her down, Callie decided she was not going to be a target. Also, it seems like Arizona has left Callie to deal with Sofia since their split, what with Arizona living at the hospital. I think it's understandable that Callie might not be feeling warm fuzzies towards Arizona right now but I do think she should probably express herself a little better. No need to throw anyone out a window. Maybe now that Arizona is living at Alex's she'll be able to share responsibility for Sofia. I loved that scene at Alex's house. Well done. Although, Jo...chill out. So your boyfriend had people over to his house. Join in or buzz off. When Alex let Arizona stay I was about to side with Jo, but then I thought, suck it up. Alex's friend needs a place to stay. It's only normal to say yes. Callie didn't tell Arizona to kick out April last season. It's what you do for friends going through a tough time. Jo, learn how to be a better friend from Alex.
  2. I think preserving the knowledge is Herman's reason, but in my opinion, Arizona's is what she told Alex. It's all she has left and it has to work. If she was at all thinking clearly she would see what a nightmare mess she is opening up the hospital and the board to, but she's not.
  3. I thought I saw some sides for episode 10, but they don't seem to have made it here yet. I'll try to find them and post them, unless someone beats me to it. Found the sides, all credit to calzonafan2014.tumblr.com: Sides for Episode 11x10 Michael & Adrian (40s) — Adrian is having surgery. Her doctor (I believe it’s Meredith), clutches a copy of The Odyssey. It’s their version of wedding rings. Both were very shy, and Michael was afraid to ask Adrian out, so he wrote it in the book she bought from his store. It took her two years to read it, but then she called and they’ve been together ever since. Adrian asks Dr. Hall to swear on the book that she will do her best. Later, Adrian is intubated and in a coma. Michael sits by her side, book on his lap. He can’t leave and he can’t even read. He feels like she’s sailed away and he doesn’t know if she’ll be back. And he wants her to come back - you know? Jenna (30s) — Dr. Conrad and Dr. Smith (definitely Callie and Owen) sit with her as she pitches the hell out of her company’s super cool medical tech device. “It’s sexy as hell and we at Cybersystems are dying to crawl into bed with you.” Later at a bar, Dr. Conrad squeezes in next to Jenna. Dr. Conrad nervously questions whether or not she was correct that Jenna was doing more than selling medical devices. Jenna definitely was. Dr. Conrad is relieved and tells her that Dr. Smith is great, just a little shy, and Dr. Conrad asks if he can buy her a drink. But Jenna wasn’t interested in him. Dr. Conrad is surprised. She’s flattered, but she’s not shopping right now — it’s complicated. Jenna tells her that if she wants to forget complicated for awhile, she flies out tomorrow. It doesn’t have to be anything more than one night.
  4. This so much. I have to say, I'm probably more invested in Callie then I am in Calzona and that's all due to SaRa. There was also a moment during the break up speech when she looked at Arizona and shook her head (I think it was after the slowly killing me line) like she couldn't believe she was actually saying it but realized it had to be done. On a side note, I'm kind of wondering who the crappy actor is your talking about. Lol.
  5. The more I think about it, the more annoyed I am by the Arizona and Dr. Herman situation. The only reason Arizona would have not to reveal Dr. Herman's illness is selfish. She wants the fellowship to work because she has nothing else. Apparently she has forgotten about her daughter. That's okay, so have the writers. While on the subject, if she's staying at the hospital, when is she spending time with Sofia outside of work? Callie made it clear in their conversation that she didn't know that Arizona was staying at the hospital. It's not like she would be keeping the secret to protect Dr. Herman. While I think the storyline would allow Arizona to get her medical mojo back, I just would have a hard time getting behind her after that.
  6. I really would like to care for April but I don't. Her reaction was a little much. I did like the last scene between her and her mother. Jo, go away. I didn't care at all about her identifying with the patient. Not one bit. Unfortunately, the only time I really found Jo tolerable was when she was connecting professionally with Callie last season. Please give Stephanie something to do or send her away. I actually like Jerrika Hinton and think if given a storyline she would be fine, but they aren't utilizing her at all. What's the point in keeping her around? Did they just want to keep another resident from Jo's year around to give her someone to talk to sometimes? Meredith and Derek...not interesting to me. I really like Ben and wouldn't mind seeing more of him away from Bailey. Maggie...Richard was wrong he admitted it. Let it go. So Dr. Herman is dying. What a huge non-surprise. So, if Arizona keeps this a secret can this come back to bite her in the behind? I mean, I can't imagine people being thrilled to find out a doctor with a brain tumor was operating on their fetus. Arizona is clearly pissed with Callie, which is understandable. She wanted to stay together, Callie didn't. Callie seemed a little detached in that scene. Almost like she didn't realize how upset Arizona was until she walked out. Those two need a little distance for a while before they can try to build some kind of rapport with each other.
  7. I thought they both were pretty irritating during the therapy sessions, but I think it was clearly meant to show how messy their relationship has been. I don't know if this break up is for good, but it definitely had to happen. I go back to Arizona's planned ortho metaphor speech to Callie after the adultery. Break the bone and re-set it so it can get stronger. Something like that. I don't want either of them hooking up with anybody right now. They both need to get right with themselves. As I was watching the ep I realized Callie was going to pull the plug. Arizona was going to latch on because everything else was going down the drain. Callie recognized what was happening and cut the cord. She knew they couldn't keep following old patterns because nothing would change in their relationship. To be completely forthright, these two have both been selfish in the relationship and hurt the other in different ways which is why they really need to be apart right now. To be honest, I don't have a problem with Arizona/Leah in regards to her relationship with Callie (they were separated), but I had a problem with it, for two reasons. Lack of chemistry and that was the time Arizona should have taken to start really working on getting to a good head space. Nope, she hooked up with the clingy intern because she didn't want to be alone and then as soon as Callie asked her to come home, she tossed her out. It wasn't a good look on Arizona. Like Callie needs to be alone for awhile, so does Arizona. It would be nice to find out who Arizona is when she isn't relying on someone to make her feel good about herself. No relationship these two start without doing some work on themselves is going to be healthy.
  8. The thing is Arizona is not innocent in the mess their in. I think she has punished Callie for things she feels she has done wrong also. Callie wasn't excited about going to Africa so Arizona left her in the airport. Callie was giving up everything and was understandably having issues with that, but she wasn't allowed to feel those emotions apparently. Arizona wasn't living her dream because Callie got pregnant by Mark. Arizona chose to stay. She could have left. Callie didn't force her to stay. Callie took her leg so Arizona slept with Boswell. The argument at the end of season 9 revealed an ugly truth and Callie was left to deal with it. While they were separated Callie tried to get back a piece of herself, what did Arizona do? She slept with Murphy. No introspection, nothing. Then they just get back together and do nothing to fix the damage between them. Now we're here. Neither of them are confident of what the other feels and so they keep doing or saying the wrong thing. They are both to blame for the mess of their relationship, neither one more than the other. Arizona jumped to a conclusion that lead to Callie jumping to a conclusion and then Arizona didn't say a word to slow Callie's roll. They are both so bad at communicating that at this point there seems to be no way to fix them without therapy.
  9. I have to say upon further reflection, I don't think either Callie or Arizona are the bad guy. Should they be having a baby right now? No. But I thought it was interesting to hear what Callie said to Owen. Her "I need something to be good too" shed an interesting light on what she thinks of her marriage right now. It's not good and she thought bringing another child into it would make it good. Clearly not the way to go, but Callie doesn't always make the right choices. I think Callie jumped to where she did at the adoption agency because she has been waiting for the other shoe to drop with Arizona and she wasn't the only one who jumped to a conclusion. Arizona did too and it was the wrong one. Which got the ball rolling downhill in the office. These two need therapy in a huge way in order to start understanding where they are each coming from.
  10. There is a lot I liked about this ep but Meredith is getting on my last nerve. Although I did like some of her scenes with Alex. I loved Amelia telling Derek off. He was being a tool to her. I did like that she had some sympathy for him. Oddly enough, I had no problem with Maggie being angry at Richard. In her eyes he did have plenty of chances to tell her and the fact he didn't makes her feel like he didn't want her around. Callie did the impossible for me. She made Owen likable. I loved her smacking him down when he was being out of line. The scene where she said she needed something good too was really nicely done. I like their friendship, but I don't want a relationship between them. Callie/Arizona. Where to start with them? I don't think they should be having a baby right now, but that's not the point. They agreed together to have one. Arizona wants to do the fellowship, but was willing to give it up. Callie said she shouldn't have to. Now did Callie do that because she really wants her to or because she's worried if Arizona doesn't do it, she'll be unhappy. And we know what happened the last time Arizona was unhappy. I find it interesting that Callie said she needed Arizona to reassure her like Callie had done for her earlier. Also bringing up the fact that Arizona didn't want to carry the baby. Her offer to carry when they found out Callie couldn't was knee jerk and I think Callie knew that Arizona didn't really want to. These two have a lot to fix before they even consider another kid.
