I’m really loving the Tiff/Scola partnership.  I also liked that Maggie and OA were background — they were useful and involved, but not front and center.

Me too!  I don't like Maggie and I'm tired of the OA/Maggie team working every case.  I love Scola and think adding Tiffany as his partner was a smart move.  I really enjoy them and hope to see more of them and less of OA/Maggie.

ETA:  I wasn't the least bit sorry to see Rina go.   She was an unnecessary and unlikeable character.

ETA: I imagine Lyle Lovett carries quite a bit of weight at CBS. He makes an appearance and Erin, Anthony, and Baez are all non-factors in the episode.

I didn't miss Erin at all LOL

I am not sure the AG and Governor are on the same election cycle in this show.  In my state, all of the statewide executive offices are elected in the same cycle, but I'm not sure it works that way in other states?  And then they could always adjust things for purposes of this show.

I believe Jamie was running for AG, but then was convinced to drop out, and they brought in some blonde woman who was elected.  Then at the start of the next season, the woman had disappeared/resigned (I forget where they said she went) and Jamie was appointed as Acting AG to finish out her term.  I don't recall if there was any mention of the Governor being up for re-election at the same time, but I tend to think not.  Because it seems she was going to be up for re-election now (or soon) and she decided to run for Senate instead.  It'd be way too early for her to be up for re-election if she had just been re-elected at the time blonde woman was elected as AG.  And there'd be no point to her discussing this with John if re-election wasn't for another 2 years.

I would say that if John gets elected as Governor, and since Jamie was appointed as Acting AG, I would say that John could probably replace him with an appointee of his own choice.  Or force him to resign out of some conflict of interest.  Even though I am sure that at some point in U.S. history, there have been siblings or relatives simultaneously in statewide office.

The Governor is term limited and she's coming to the end of her last term in office.

The AG is an elected position. I don't know when Jamie would be up for re-election next, but if the AG term extends past the Governor's, he could still be in office when John or an opponent takes office. They could try to force him to resign, but they couldn't just replace him.

There's a good chance the AG's term is up the same time as the Governor's.   Since Jamie wasa appointed AG, he would have to run for the position when that appointed term is complete.

AARP also has a Medicare Advantage Plan through United Healthcare, so AARP also has a "sales pitch."

They have to offer similar plans.  Those commercials are geared to make seniors think they're government sponsored.  They're insurance company sponsored.   They're making so much money off naive seniors that they can run commercials on TV 9 billion times a day.  It's disgraceful!

Falling for what?  These Medicare Advantage plans, as annoying and irritating as the commercials are as well as being aired continuously from October to December, are bona fide plans offered by real insurance companies to supplement Parts A and B of Medicare.  You can't just be covered by Medicare alone.  You need prescription coverage for one thing.  Many are zero premiums and zero deductibles and offer added benefits.  The trick is conquering the task of comparing all the plans available in your area to see what's right for you.  They aren't a trick or a gimmick.

    It's all a sales pitch!

The "real insurance companies" you mention have licensed brokers answer those calls.  They're pitching their products and they're not doing it for free.

I'm on Medicare and have AARP supplemental plans for doctor/hospital and Rx.

  7. I think Jamie's father was responsible for the attacks on the Duttons and I predict that Jamie will eventually be the one to shoot him.

I honestly don't care about Jimmy so his moving to Texas isn't a big deal.  I'm not sure he'll ever come back to the Yellowstone.  I don't understand why the barrel racers are still at the Yellowstone.  Rip should have thrown them out a long time ago.

  8. I disagree with the posters who believe Beth hides behind John but they are entitled to their opinion just as I am entitled to mine.   Some people dislike Beth and won't give her credit for anything.   Personally, I don't understand why anyone who dislikes Beth would watch Yellowstone

Sure, Beth fought for her life with the two thugs, as would anybody.  Nobody wants to just lie down and get killed.  She had nothing to lose, so why not fight for her life?  But when it comes to business dealings, she most certainly does hide behind her daddy Dutton.

Most of her business deals were in Salt Lake City.  When she came back to Montana to help her father, she bought land using Bob's money - not her father's.  I don't know why you think she hid behind John because it's just not true.  If anything, John's influence had been weakened and she helped bolster it with her land deals.

I agree with most of the Beth comments, the only thing I'd add is that you're not a strong woman or a badass if you bully people knowing that everyone's fear of your Daddy will save your ass.

Beth is like the kid on the play ground that runs up and taunts another kid, smacks them, and then scrambles to hide behind the nearest adult. The adult in this case being the patriarch who will kill you if you dare even talk back to his darling daughter.

I disagree.  Beth doesn't use fear of her father to intimidate anyone.   When those two thugs came into her office and nearly killed her, she wasn't hiding behind Daddy.  She fought them with every ounce of strength she had.   I can't think of a single time Beth hid behind John

  11. "possibly Martin survived"  "Teal & Martin?"

His name was Malcolm not Martin.

"Jamie was willing and able to hand over the acreage due to Beth's accidental mistake in the paperwork that put the decisions in Jamie's hands & not hers as she thought."

We don't know this yet.  It could be because Beth and John were both out of commission due to the attacks.  Jamie made two opposite statements about the Power of Attorney.  One saying it was legal in Montana but just "muddied the waters" because it was filed in Utah and the other saying it was not recognized in Montana.   In real life a POA filed in Utah would definitely be legal in Montana but this is TVLand.

Is it just me or was Erin completely insufferable? The whole digging up her boss' case was ridiculous. What was she trying to prove?

    Erin usually is insufferable.

The tribal dancers were really beautiful. And on a separate note I really want John and Rainwater to team up.

    Yes they were beautiful.

I've been waiting and waiting for John and Rainwater to team up so I really hope it happens this season.  We did get to see the preview of Rainwater and Mo bringing someone to John and telling him that person was behind the attacks.  Too bad we couldn't see who it was.  I hope we don't have to wait too long.  That's one good thing about Yellowstone.  They don't make you wait long to resolve an issue (unless it was S4 LOL).

In one of the previews we see Jamie pointing a gun at someone.    After seeing that I keep thinking that Jamie will kill Randall.  I don't know why yet but I predict it will happen.

There are still people watching this show?

Yes but I haven't watched it yet.  My DVR has custody.  I'll watch it Friday when I'm off.  I used to be a real Oak Island Junkie but after so many seasons of wet wood and an occasional top pocket find, I opted to watch the World Series last night instead.

But to say high schoolers would never go to a real firehouse and train like firefighters with real equipment due to liability is inaccurate, at best. These programs exist across the country in different forms and logistical setups. That’s the point.

OK  I had no idea those programs really exist.  I still think there must be limitations because the liability issues are real.

  16. I'm not surprised that there aren't many posts here.  I think people are still out of sorts after Jesse Spencer's sudden departure.  Personally, I think the show will do just fine without him.  I didn't miss him last night and I sure as hell didn't miss Stella.

I agree.   They had a big party at Molly's for Peter Mills but nothing, nothing, NOTHING for Matt Casey.

Some, maybe all of the Medicare Advantages Plans (there are many, I don't know specifically) do not cover physical therapy, or chemotherapy. Yeah, that's expensive.

You have one shot at qualifying for Medicare without having to answer a set of questions. That is when you hit 65. If you don't get it then you have to answer questions that may limit you in what is covered by Medicare, for you.

I have a Medicare Supplement policy. I chose it so it would cover what Medicare doesn't. I have Medicare. I also have a separate Part D prescription plan.  Don't listen to Joe Namath or Jimmie Walker.

You're so right.  Don't listen to them.   I'm glad people are realizing those commercials are total BS.  I have a separate supplemental policy and another for Rx.  When I was getting close to 65 and trying to figure out what to do I asked the woman who did the billing at my primary's office.  She told me what to get and I'm grateful for her help.
