  1. If you had told me way back in season one episode two that I would be sobbing over Jamie Tartt and absolutely adore him at the end of it all, I’d never have believed you. He has grown the most of all the characters and has come so very far and I feel so proud of him even though he isn’t real!
  2. If Nicolas Hoult and Franco the younger had a baby it would be George.
  3. Her death was also, allegedly, the reason Victoria was TERRIFIED of childbirth. I mean, it didn’t seem to slow her and Albert down any, but still. By all reports she greatly enjoyed the act to produce said children, but didn’t really like being pregnant. Or giving birth. Or even young children really. She just REALLY REALLY liked Albert.
  4. I mean, Higgins isn’t wrong. until he tried the kiss, I thought Rupert might have had a wake up call. I thought, maybe, just maybe, Nate leaving the club and the double date as well as quitting - him “losing”- might have made him re-examine his ways. He hired an assistant he wouldn’t be attracted or tempted by, he seemed sincere in his invite to Rebecca, he didn’t go against Rebecca at the table just to spite her. Then he tried the kiss. Never mind! My understand from watching the episode is that each country with enough pro players can make up like an exhibition team for their country from said pro players. Like an all star team. It’s an honor to get chosen, especially if there are lots of players to choose from. Mexico, Canada, Wales, Switzerland, and England all chose one of “our” players. no regular games are played that week, instead, exhibition games are played by each “national” team. Things return to regular play the next week.
  5. Completely irrelevant of any plot points, but Hannah’s skin looked absolutely LUMINOUS, especially during her confrontation with Roy.
  6. Oh, 100% Will is gonna look for the relatives. I’m guessing the uncle first bc his mom’s brother was specifically mentioned/singled out.
  7. The quiet and empty backstage before the dream girls number was giving me a bit of the end of “all that jazz” as was the “stay “ at the end of the show.
  8. Oh yes most def a phantom reference. Along with his statement “I just want someone to love me”- very phantom sentiment. I figured it and dream girls were just setting us up for next season when they move into Les Smig!
  9. Oh Roy. You messed up. Big time. I cared about a Nate a teeny bit only bc the kid cared about him and Nate DID wave back at him. But I still mostly don’t care. I loved Trent Crimm (not the Independent) being completely confused but also completely on board and eager to join in with the “dogs”. Jamie has really grown since season one. But his hair is still stupid. Next week’s title makes me think it could deal with Colin and his secret being revealed.
  10. Amanda had no right to keep that info from Will. I am very angry with her.
  11. The “Fame” song was all kinds of Jesus Christ Superstar. Both in orchestration and lyrics. Largely it pulled from “Hosanna” but also “what’s the buzz” and “Simon zealotes”
  12. Melissa’s solo was Maybe This Time with a little of Rose’s Turn mixed in, yes? the JC Superstar is hitting hard this episode.
  13. I don’t know if they were actively communicating, I think it was more that Grogu can sense it via the force- he knows there’s something really big and alive down there. I got more of an impression that he kind of “poked it” with the force and the mythasaur responded by opening its eye and being like “hello, what’s this very intense little bundle of force energy?” and the rolling back over and going back to sleep.
  14. Put on a happy face form Bye Bye Birdy! That was the musical riff I couldn’t identify quickly enough last night! I knew i associated it with Dick Van Dyke but thought maybe Chitty Chitty bang bang.
  15. Yes. There was another musical line earlier in the song I recognized as well but didn’t rewind to put a name to. Maybe something from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang?
  16. I’m not sure if it’s been mentioned back when we were talking season one, but a favorite fact of mine is that, while Josh was NOT a fan of musicals, Keegan very much IS. And, apparently, he ruined numerous takes bc he would start bopping along to the music when JOSH was supposed to be fed up and unimpressed!
  17. So, I have a friend who hadn’t watched. So I brought her over and we binged season 1 and the first episode of 2. and I noticed something I hadn’t before. The final song of season 1 had a VERY different vibe than all the others. I thought nothing of it at the time. But this time…. when they brought out the tambourines, I realized. This was the transition to season two. This was Godspell and hair in music and dance but still “golden age” in costume and set. they told us what they were going to do. We just didn’t see it!! man I love this show!
  18. Since I prefer to dwell on the amusing bits, … ”BAD BABY! No squeezy!!!”
  19. I am just so proud of our girl for setting some boundaries and standing up for herself and following through! I figured it was an MLM. Maybe with essential oils or perfumes after Melissa mentioned how good she smelled.
  20. Yeah, I was gonna say lots of people feel that way in general about Godspell. So, at least it produced the appropriate/expected feelings?
  21. Ah! Yes! There was SOMETHING that made me think into the woods at one point but I can’t remember what! It’s not really in the “right” era as it’s late 80’s but I think sometimes there are extra little Easter eggs for die hard theater nerds.
  22. So the last notes of Kratts song were straight up from Caiaphas’s solo in JC Superstar where he sings “this Jesus must, Jesus must, Jesus must die!” then with “Bells and Whistles” we get 2 songs from Chicago- all that jazz and Razzle Dazzle as well as some Chorus Line’s dance 10, looks 3 thrown in. then Hair and so much Godspell with Topher and crew and a blend of Annie and Sweeny Todd with miss hannivett? Loveigan? and then full out Sweeny with Alan cumming.
  23. I once saw a post that said “Jack Black is the only human who could show up literally anywhere in any context and I wouldn’t question it for a second. I could get abducted by aliens and he could be wandering around the space ship with bugles (the chips) on the ends of his fingers and I’d just be like “that’s some classic Jack Black, there!” “ I think this episode proves this statement. Especially since my reaction, immediately upon hearing his voice, was “is that Jack Black? Huh. Sure, why not?!”
