It's the defense. For the most part the Offense has played great all season. The defense - esp during the Falcons games - were completely inept.

I disagree on Keuchly. I think he is qualified to be first timer, but the fact that he retired early makes me think the voters might consider him a quitter and not vote him as a first timer. No way is Eli a first timer, IMO. He won two SBs, that's it. He was a high end average QB all other times. ETA. sorry abt the quadruple posts. Stupid phone kept saying the post wasn't saved.

Yeah "gracious" might not have been the right word. I felt that Brenda giving Cathy part of Aundria's ashes was an apology of sorts. An acknowledgement that Cathy was right in everything she said abt Dennis. Everyone was damaged by this one 'man'. Makes me wonder how Vanessa turned out and that she's the long term victim.

I felt that Brenda honestly had no clue. She was devastated when Dennis confessed to her. But she can't seen to leave him or stop loving him. I wonder if he was abusive to her in some ways that made her emotionally dependant upon Dennis. Psychopaths do that. She trash talked Brenda because she believed Cathy was unhinged, stalking them, and harassing them. And again, I think Dennis had her brain wadhed and trained to be a lap dog. But Cathy did cross the line several times, expectedly.

I have to agree with @Chit Chatthat yes, Saban & AL made tons of money off college football, but he did instill discipline and he does care about the players. He may have the same last name (pronunciation) as me, but I've never been a Saban fan. However, he does care about the quality of the product and the young men who play it.

It used to be you joined a school for pride of institution, education, maybe familial ties, not NIL money. Yes, for athletes so that they can take the next step. By exiting BEFORE the title game, they are effectively doing a DeVondre Campbell, an Antonio Brown. Letting their fellow teammates down by quitting. Not to mention letting their classmates, faculty & alumnae down by denying the institution the funds they would get by playing in the Title game. And in Marshall's case, the legacy of those who were killed in the plane crash because they loved the game, not the money.

The NCAA needs to start regulating the portal. 25 players from Marshall entered due to their coach leaving after a contract dispute. Leaving Marshall unable to compete for the Sunbelt Title. I saw an article that called the portal the "wild west". Even pros are subject to contracts and free agency is regulated. Right now it seems the college portal is a free for all.
