  1. I agree with the idea of Luann being independent socially, but I also think since the divorce from Not About Tom she seems to have her tail between her legs in the man department. She was always super smug about her relationships with the Count and Tom, not so much Jacques, but I swear you could see the glimmer of hope in her eyes when she met up with Jacques at the cafe and at the comedy show. I think given the chance she'd take him back in a New York minute. Also neither one of the divorces were her choice. But to your point, I don't think her immediate past bothers her one bit socially, but that could also be lack of self-awareness. This season I think we've seen her trying too hard.
  2. For all of her faults, I can't hate Dorinda. I just can't. I'm confident the Tinsley bullshit is a producer driven storyline, just now instead of Bethenny or Sonja coming for her, it's Dorinda, because Tinsley is an easy target. I can't help it, my heart just hurts for Dorinda, losing Richard the way she did, which was unexpected and his illness was very short. I think she tried to fill that void to a certain extent with John, which wasn't really fair to John, but he had to know where she was emotionally. With the John relationship dissolving, Dorinda is finally facing her grief head-on, alone, and we're seeing that on camera. Richard was her one person and after 9 years she is finally dealing with it. And she is very likely going through menopause, which is magnifying it x1000. The visit to her old townhouse broke my heart. I agree that Dorinda, Sonja, Luanne and Ramona are lost without their husbands and younger children to raise, which is somewhat of an identity in and of itself. Now they are technically single in their 50s and 60s and just kind of...lost. I would be too. And I've never even had a husband. I always say there is a difference between envy and jealousy and I admit I'm a little envious of Tinsley myself, in her mid-40s with the body of a 25-year old and plenty of financial resources. The world is still her oyster, and for the other ladies, not so much. I can see that. ETA: I would like to see the show take a turn and give us the ladies finding their own way instead of pining for old/lost loves and being awkward. I still don't miss Bethenny one bit 🙂
  3. I am so, so sorry you had to go through that 😖 I hope you GTFO'd and got a real dinner!
  4. I liked Christina too and I think they'd need more sophisticated housemates than Amanda/Hannah/Paige/Jules i.e., people with real jobs beyond social media influencing. I think the fact that Lindsay and Danielle have career jobs and the rest of them have jobs based on appearances and staged situations with no substance furthers that divide. Two totally different playing fields. Totally agree that Kyle will be rolled out of summer shares feet first, especially since they rely on partying to market Loverboy. That's going to be a tough one for Carl. I know a guy who was an account executive for a major beer brand and he developed a massive alcohol dependency with all the entertaining and steakhouse dinners he had to do. Another thing about Amanda/Kyle and Hannah/Luke - it came out on the reunion last night. Amanda defffffinitely didn't want any other couples action in the house. I think part of her jealousy was she was afraid Huke would eclipse them because they actually had chemistry and were really into each other.....where Kyle and Amanda are basically a relationship belly flop because they hate each other. I mean, they had closet hate sex for the finale last night, ew.
  5. Amanda very likely had a massive crush on Luke and was insanely jealous of both Luke and Hannah. Unfortunately for her she’s locked into a relationship and a job with a man-child and an ugly engagement ring.
  6. I don’t really think Carl wants to settle down. Guys like that never do. They’ll run that game into their 60s and beyond. I don’t exactly think Kyle does either, but Amanda is 50% of his story line at the moment. I don’t see the show recovering from covid unless they recast it completely. Kyle’s already knocking on 40’s door and Carl is not far behind.
  7. Where do we even begin. Amanda is such a massive bitch and was so unbelievably rude to Hannah. I think she’s been doing a little more than just bulletproof coffee to lose weight. Either Adderall which does NOT go well with alcohol, or she’s taken up skiing with Kyle. Paige is just downright full of herself. For the hundredth time, Kyle and Amanda should not get married. They know it, we know it, the tarot card reader knows it. Please spare us and cancel your appetizer wedding. The rave party kind of grossed me out because it was just a giant mess with Kyle urinating everywhere. I didn’t really care about the rave party at all. The Zoom Reunion. Lindsay looked really good. The rest of the women were dolled up like housewives which I thought was hilarious. Amanda’s insecurity really came through on-camera. She kept looking to Kyle for cues and sucking her cheeks in to make herself look better. They looked so awkward sitting there. They clearly hate each other. Hannah did not bring her cool girl act to the reunion. She annoyed me. I though Luke got the shaft to a degree. Jules is a whiny little bitch. I don’t like her now that we’ve seen her true colors. I also thought her glaring lamp without a lampshade set lighting was pretty funny. This season made me like Lindsay, and she also has a real job which earns points. I don’t really care about Carl or Danielle.
  8. I agree, I like shaggy Chris better 🙂 Also regarding Caryn, I think part of the relationship with Matt is that it's a very obvious FU to Amy, having been his employee on the farm for years, and he likes playing that game. Once Amy and Chris are gone and settled into their new life together off the farm, I wonder if Caryn will be as much fun for Matt. I don't think Matt will ever ask Caryn to marry him. Caryn might think so but I highly doubt that was ever going to be Matt's endgame.
  9. I think the boys are total opportunists. They know they can benefit more from Matt (farm, fantasy playground equipment, television show about farm and fantasy playground equipment, pumpkin amusement park) than they can from Amy and if there is any perceived gravitation away from Amy, that is a big part of the reason why. Also I think there is a dose of good old fashioned gender inequality going on. What's good for the gander is not okay for the goose, in other words I think there is some resentment that Amy and Chris got engaged because Chris is newer and an outsider where Caryn Janice Rossi 2R is a known entity and has been around (Matt's desk) for quite a while. I don't think it's fair. I like Chris and I like Amy and I like them together. Those damn kids should be equally enthusiastic and happy for their mother as they are for Matt and Janice. I hope Amy and Chris make a really nice place for themselves away from the farm. I feel for Amy because she's pretty much phasing out and that has to be really hard for her regardless of whatever bullshit is going on there, Matt and his whole Disney Dad routine. I still think Caryn gets off on Matt operating the big machinery. I liked the prom idea. It's fun and light hearted. I *did go to my prom but it was kind of awkward. I remember our colors were blue and silver and somehow we had red, yellow and white flowers (?) Adult prom is so much more fun because there are no rules or teachers waiting for you to mess up 🙂 Plus I would love to wear my prom dress again - it is a gorgeous beaded 1920s dress and I love it so much. Very avant garde for 30 years ago when everyone was wearing Jessica McClintock and Flirtations by Alfred Angelo 😄
  10. That sounds terrible 😳 People spend all that money to attend your wedding in a high rent area not to mention purchase a gift and all you provide for their consumption is...passed appetizers and your own canned alcohol? Is this the venue in Brooklyn? I am so not impressed. I can understand budgeting and trying to save money but they are quasi-Bravolebrities. You would think they could afford and would want to do better. I’m hedging my bets now. The wedding is not going to happen if they don’t film this summer. No way their relationship can make it to filming in summer 2021 as a run up to a fall ‘21 wedding. They both love the attention and the spotlight and if they don’t film people are going to be like Kyle and Amanda who? even more than they already are. Corona might be a blessing in disguise in that regard. Side note, if any of you know what a Long Island wedding is and you’ve been to one, then you know. They are amazing.
  11. Ash is a complete narcissist and has no business running relationship seminars. His MO should be categorized as Gashlighting.
  12. Does anyone know what brand of bra Tinsley wears? In the few times we've seen her in her bra, there has been a black label sticking out in the back, but I can't figure it out. The black label is the only clue I have.
  13. Zack is a grown man, a husband and father and he acted like a petulant child about Amy’s news. Grow up. I could see if he was a teenager subject to shared living arrangements with each parent via custody but he’s an ADULT. Amy and Matt’s divorce came after he was married and on his own! He’s 30 f*cking years old! I can’t.
  14. I liked the Season One house better even though it also had that weird upstairs downstairs thing going on. I vaguely remember the Montauk marketing angle and when they were banned from Surf Lodge and a lot of other places! I miss the early 2000s..
  15. You are NOT!! Were you in your mid-20s around that time? I was - I remember when Lizzie Grubman hit the gas when the car was still in reverse and a few years later Tinsley and her Samantha Thavasa bags. I might be thinking of Single in the Hamptons and maybe one or two of the people were in a share house. I remember trying to watch it and being not really that into it. But there were definitely hookups and craziness but they were people who were a lot more established with real jobs and came from real money, not this social media influencer clown nonsense. I would love to watch that now. Not to be elitist or anything, but everyone on Summer House comes from a solidly middle class background and they are enjoying the spoils of fast money and a production budget. I remember from S1 that Kyle, the Wirkus twins and a bunch of other people had been renting a share house for several years before they got the show. I wonder what the house situation looked like before they had Bravo. Also why don't they EVER go to the beach??
  16. Help me remember - my insufficiently caffeinated brain isn't allowing me this morning. What was the other Hamptons summer share show? I remember Single in the Hamptons but I'm not sure if that's it. That is going way back more than 15 years, and I feel like there was another Hamptons show about a share house. With people that had real jobs.
  17. The best part about Ramona’s oyster plate is that they brought her clams 🤣
  18. I feel bad for John Mahdessian. He seems like a nice enough person. He’s social. Why shouldn’t he go to parties he’s invited to? I don’t get the pickup vibe from him. I never, ever liked Kristen Taekman either. If he was hot she wouldn’t have had a problem with him shimmying and having a little fun dancing when they were at that party. If I’m remembering it correctly. Same with Tinsley. If he was hot she wouldn’t care if he was sweaty. I think Leah’s cashmere sweat suit was probably Cashmink like the scarves ☺️ And yeah those were tooootally grocery store flowers. They were pretty though. Dorinda is probably going through the change and her head has left her body. I feel like all of these women went way off the rails when it happened to them, save for Leah and Tinsley. I shudder to think about how it’s going to affect Bethenny. I’m infinitely glad we won’t have to watch it unfold on RHoNY!! Oh! The hair stylist was SO visibly annoyed doing Luann’s hair. What a jerk she was.
  19. Melissa Gorga sitting with the NY wives. Also were those the Hilton sisters on the end on the other side?
  20. I think the vibrators were party favors, there were several of them in boxes.
  21. I suspect its a production vehicle - I think there are two black suburbans, the GX and Kyle's M5. I think Kyle and Lindsay get the good cars as the OGs, and the two suburbans are what they always take when they go out and a production person drives. The M5 sedan is literally a 6-figure car and there's no way Kyle could afford that on his own along with the rent on their apartment AND a summer share without production chipping in on the costs. Especially if Amanda (stupidly) quit her corporate job and they have to pay for their own health insurance. And you're right, it makes no sense for these guys to have vehicles in the city with insurance and garage costs. I'm confident they're paid for by production. Luke probably does have a Corvette somewhere at home in Minnesota. I had one as a day rental on a work trip once and that thing was FUN.
  22. I thought the roast was entertaining but I thought Lindsay kept it together pretty well. I don't like her either, but I thought it was cool when she sat down and was like WTF was that. I guess we can say at least she didn't smash a watermelon in the house. Paige losing her shit (was that in the preview?) was funny. I guess she had to step it up because all the closet phone calls were detracting from her contributions to the show. I like Danielle this time around too. I don't think there's anything more to Hannah and Luke than Paige and Amanda projecting onto her. Amanda literally has no room to talk, but I would also never agree to marry a man who had cheated on me at any time during our relationship, so I have some pretty strong opinions on her. But yeah I remember the 20s relationship drama too, kind of hilarious. They are being so juvenile. I wonder if Loverboy is any good or if it will go the way of Bethenny's pre-mixed low calorie cocktails. More power to them for trying but I don't know what the viewership and free marketing is like for this show. There's only like 12 of us who watch it (and I'm thankful for all of you because this quarantine thing is no fun) 🙂 If they're ever sampling it in the grocery stores and bars up here, which is possible bc Kyle comes here on family vacay, I'll try it.
