Thinking about the future of Kate and Jack, in the flash forward last season, when they are gathering for Rebecca who is presumably near the end, and we see Toby alone in the bed, wasn’t Kate on her way to join them with Jack in tow? She wasn’t shown but I thought someone was talking to her on the phone?

The odd thing is...as Alpha was closing in on Negan, I noticed how perfectly straight and dare I say it, clean, her teeth were?! I'm still unnerved by Carol's emotional freak out after the explosion.

That was unwatchable. And yet I watched it anyway and I am in full Sunday Scaries mode muttering what did I just DO to myself. F*%#+%#-A Carol, you SUCK. I knew Alpha and Negan were going to get it on at some point but I didn’t know it was going to be in the mid-season premier 🤮

The thing is, Carl IS making excuses and he doesn’t want to let go of his parents divorce so he always has that as an out. It’s complete bullshit. I actually like Jules better than Paige. Paige is so flat and one-dimensional. Hannah 🤮 Lindsay needs to slow her roll.

This is the part I was unsure of because I have never, and I mean NEVER, heard a narcissist admit that they did anything remotely wrong. But believing he did nothing wrong is another story, so you might be right. I hate that people like Carc think joking around and sarcasm is funny, when it is in fact deeply humiliating and hurtful. Juggling the mug hit the worst nerve with me. And he's forever Carc because of that Starbucks meme where the cup said Mark with a C, but more so because of all the terrible words to call him that start with C. I HATE CARC.

Good lord, I’m exhausted. This episode was INTENSE. I can’t be the only one who is triggered by Carc. He’s every dick boyfriend I’ve ever had concentrated into one vile person. My heart stopped when he was tossing the mug and completely broke when he dropped it. I actually wanted him to start mouthing off to Rebecca so she would drag him out of the house with her bare hands.

I definitely hear what you're saying, but I don't think Amanda needs to be parented. She's an adult holding down a full-time job of her own. I see Kyle as a little weenie who can't work *for anyone else, so he's trying to make his little fledgling ventures work on his own. Making her Creative Director upsets the balance in their relationship and it's another way he's trying to control her. He doesn't want to hear that she's just come home from work and needs to chill for a minute. She's a grownup. If she wants to leave her shoe in the middle of the floor, that's her prerogative. If he can't take occasional messiness, especially on the weekend, they shouldn't be together. They're too different. And he's a dick. At 28, Amanda has her sh*t way more together than Kyle in his mid-30s ever has. I think the parenting is the other way around actually because he acts like a complete fool when he drinks and she has to pick up the pieces...they really should break up.

She needs to kick his ass to the curb. After having been through some bad relationships, I would NEVER put up with his garbage. I’m sure the allure is the beautiful apartment, the spot on a tv show and all that that implies. He’s never respected her nor has he treated her with respect.

Lindsey is terrible in group dinner scenes. She's forever "can dish it out but can't take it". She would look so much younger if she had darker blonde hair and skipped the shiny red lip gloss. I can't stand Hannah. There is literally nothing attractive about her. She looks like a teenage girl that never left tennis camp in 7th grade. Get a haircut, wear some decent clothes or get some sense of style. Have the other girls help you. The gym shorts and tank suits are just not cute. Carl also needs to get decent clothes. He's tall but he has kind of a wonky shape and the all the supertight skinnies he wears just emphasize his awkwardness. Ugh.

Poor Lola was so visibly disgusted by Joyce’s thing hanging down and what looked like some sort of sanitary pad attached to it. So much pixelation. You would have thought they could have covered her up a little more, for her sake and that of the medics. For crying out loud how high was her friend in the one hospital scene? I thought she was praying but she just couldn’t keep her eyes open!

Aaaaanddd were back to dullsville.

Re: Kate and the retreat and surprising Toby. Toby is the king of grand gestures. I saw this as a grand gesture on Kate's part and if he gets to do them, she should be able to as well. Toby *should have manned up for the sake of his family, however I admit that I'm glad it turned out the way it did because we had some really beautiful moments with Kate and Rebecca. In a perfect world, all four of them would have gone to the retreat. It would have allowed for bonding time for all of them together and in pairs.

I think Higgins was referring to the OP who made the unfortunate comment. And you're right too, it is very much an important issue. I'd love for Kate to succeed with her weight loss to show viewers it CAN be done.

The health concerns are absolutely a valid and important point. However it can take munts (© Dr. Now) or even years to reach a healthy weight, and you can't and shouldn't hide until you reach a weight/size where people won't ridicule you for your appearance. I admire her style and I think she sets a great example in that regard. I loved the dress she was wearing when she was packing for the retreat.

Both Lands End and L.L. Bean have swim dresses, and Lands End in particular is always having a sale! Both have excellent return/exchange policies. Kate/Chrissy always dresses so beautifully in my opinion, on and off the show. I realize she has a stylist and wardrobe department etc. but having a stylist doesn't automatically equate to looking good, and she always looks great. I liked that her swimsuit had fluttery straps and was in a pretty, bright color. Very on-trend. They're doing such a good job with the 90s look on all of the characters. I was in my twenties then, lordt the memories! 🙂

“Kate” 😊 they were singing it in the car before Marc went beserk. Me too on the bad guys. So many bad guys. That’s what I get for not understanding that I’m an empath until a year or so ago. I even got locked out in the snow once. By the grace of God I had my car keys on me and was able to get home. This episode hit so many nerves and was all too familiar. That being said I loved how they showed the connection growing between Kate and Rebecca and I thought she looked terrific in her swimsuit.

I also liked the turquoise Converse, they were cute! But the red KISS shoes were horrible. Agree on the rings! The band is really pretty but that center stone, eek. I've noticed it's cloudiness on her hand as well.
