That's what I think will happen.

Ho.Lee.Shit. I can't bear to think this show will end. I was leery when Marion stepped out of the shower and no one was there but didn't really expect it would happen that way. But, I have to say when Norman and Norma were arguing about Marion and the fact that she wanted to have sex with him, they heard the car drive up and Norma said "She's back." Then we saw Sam and the thought crossed my mind he would be killed instead of Marion. If Freddie does not win an Emmy there's something rotten going on. In fact I hope "someone's" been watching and he wins the starring role in a blockbuster movie. Kudos to you, Freddie.

I can't agree that Romero is a good guy. he was shady all along and should not have been in law enforcement. I don't care what happens to him. I guess Maddie will be Bates Motel version of Marion Crane. She will probably leave her hubby, check into Bates Motel and never check out.

Come on. There's no way a layperson can understand all the twists and turns this season. Maybe someone who's had experience can educate us if all their pranks are ligit or made up for TV. To me it's all bullshit.

This show is a joke. Jeremiah is an ass. He seems to always be looking for something to argue about. I can understand his missing his kids. So why can't he move closer to them? But, Mary takes the cake, which she wants to have and eat too. There is no Amish church that will accept her since she's been banished. I don't live in Lancaster but close enough to know something about their ways. I'm not familiar with the New Order though, they may accept her. I doubt that Chester will leave his church in Punxy. I can't understand why at this stage of her life she wants to do what the "English" do but still expect to be Amish. It's almost like she's a young teen Amish person going through rumspringa. Maybe she never had one.

Psycho 2 was pretty good, 3 was pretty bad and Bates Motel is probably the worst movie ever made. After viewing them again, I can honestly say I think Freddie is better than Perkins.

Yep, that nominating committee has their head up their ass. Great acting by at least two people and not even a nomination.

I recently picked up Psycho 2, 3, 4 and Bates Motel. So far I've only watched 2. In the movie Norman was only 12 when he poisoned his mother and her lover. Norman was released after found guilty by reason of insanity and spent many years in jail. Everyone seemed to think he was OK. But it was brought out that Norma Bates was not his real mother, and the woman working at the diner was. So, when this woman was telling Norman in his kitchen, he killed her by hitting her over the head with a shovel, then carried her up to her bedroom. Before that he killed the guy who was managing the motel while Norman was in prison and dropped him and his car in the swamp. He killed a teenage boy who'd been using his cellar for making out with his girl, as well as Marion Crane's sister. But because there was no direct evidence Norman was not found guilty, and the law was stupid enough to think he now was "normal."

S04.E21: Maybe You'll Appreciate Me Someday
Rustybones replied to ElectricBoogaloo's topic in Nashville [V]
Don't care if it comes back or not. Connie B. may be a bigger name than Hayden or anyone else on the show but damn, that woman can't sing for shit. And the way she clenches her mouth when she speaks, I usually don't even know what she's saying. The fact that she was the "star" of the show is a joke. A show about Nashville and music people should at least have people who can sing. -
Wonder if Norman ate Chick's casserole?
-
Yeah, at least Norma died peacefully and with a smile as Norman sang Pearly Shells. She was done with Romero so she probably had pleasant thoughts of getting out of town and moving to Hawaii with Norman.

Does anyone know the details surrounding Freddie being chosen for the role of Norman? I'd never heard of him before. I remember the first season they actually did a live broadcast. It included Vera and I believe Max Theriot in the studio and Freddie from his home. I'd never seen that done for any show, ever. Forgot to mention that on a trip to LA in the 80's, we had a tour of Universal Studios that included the Bates house, which was just a two-walled exterior facade. Still scary looking, though.

I can't get that damn "Pearly Shells" out of my head.

They're in Oregon where the law states if a spouse dies without a will the husband would receive 1/2 of the assets, with any children getting the other 1/2. So Romero will have to be taken out one way or another.

Norma & Norman: A Boy's Best Friend Is His Mother
Rustybones replied to Luckylyn's topic in Bates Motel [V]
I totally agree, Spartan Girl. And now I have to wonder if Norman was born with some mental issues, could he have been treated early enough? If Norma had faced reality, when would she say she first noticed Norman was "different?" Sad that because of loving him too much she contributed to his illness. -
I wonder if Norman will "stuff" his mother? Remember when he told the undertaker he does taxidermy? He knows what embalming is. Then again, it may be too late for that. Can someone please refresh my memory about Juno?
-
I just watched the finale again, and it was worse the second time. I actually felt such sympathy for Norman, wishing he could have received the help he needed years ago. Instead he had a mother who loved him so much she couldn't admit even to herself that something terrible was wrong with him. Freddie really got to me this time. This show really got to me like no other I can recall.

I think Norman will have to get rid of Romero or there's a chance Romero could stand to inherit 1/2 of Norma's estate. I doubt she had a will. Also, Norman has no money coming in, how can he financially continue to keep Bates Motel running?
-
I can't believe we have to wait a whole year for 6 more episodes of Bates Motel.
-
Could Norman blame Norma for firing up the furnace? Since she wrote what appeared to be a suicide note to Romero could Norman get away with it? He won't be blamed for anything, since supposedly Norma was the only one who was there when the repairman said the furnace was dangerous.
-
Didn't the movie confirm that Norman killed both his mother and her lover? Also, if I remember correctly from one of the later Psycho movies, Norman had been either in jail or locked up in a nuthouse, then released. They thought he had been treated and was sane.

I don't know how y'all can remember the names of the episode and people involved. I've probably seem them all though. There is one involving Hemi Newman and Andrea somebody? She was the most arrogant person I've ever seen on the witness stand. She got away with having an affair with Hemi and probably persuading him to kill her husband Rusty. They tried to convict her of planning Rusty's murder, that didn't work. She ended up being convicted of lying under oath. Poor Hemi was so in love with her he never involved her in the murder, he was found mentally ill. I have a question. If someone is convicted and found mentally ill, do they get treated while in prison?

Have to admit I have a crush on Keith. And since Lester Holt took Brian's job, Keith has been promoted to introducing the segments as well. Happy for him. I don't like Maureen at all. How many leather jackets does that woman own? After watching Snapped for some time, I kept wondering what the female moderator looked like. They recently showedher on one of the shows, I don't remember her name. She has a very interesting voice and speech pattern.
