Just saw the Nguyen episode (a repeat) ... As far as I could tell, Hilary stole from the kitchen to enlarge the bathroom, then cut the kitchen when the inevitable problems surfaced. How can they function with no kitchen? But the show didn't address it. Anyone remember this one and can calm me down?

It is generally more effort to write a whole new song (melody and lyrics) than to come up with new lyrics for an existing melody, but not necessarily harder: with a new song you can tweak the melody if the words don't quite fit, but with an existing melody you don't have that luxury. I'm fairly certain that they're reacting to the crowd who felt the original song was overused (many thought it overused in the pilot itself, complaining "there was only one song!"), and accusations of laziness would be more likely thrown at re-using the same song (with different lyrics) than at an new song.

Love this show, so glad it's back. Every time the word "bag" was mentioned I cracked up. Everything they wore was wonderful--I particularly liked the over-the-top stylings for the visit to Amish country. Never realised "Twyla" is played by Eugene's daughter/Dan's sister but found out yesterday looking her up. What a talented family!

Even though harvest gold appliances came out in the sixties, many people retained them through the 1970s. It's only rich and fickle types who get a new stove every time the colours go out of fashion--ordinary people make do until they need to replace them. Same for interior decor. Hair and clothes change more quickly (especially hair, which has to be cut and styled every month or two regardless), but those expensive items like wallpaper, fridges, and couches may persist over a couple of decades. (In other words, I see nothing wrong with the art department's choices on this show, so long as no characters' exulting in how they got the latest, trendiest colour for their brand new dishwasher).

Is anyone "playing along" at bigbrothercanada.ca? Because I'm totally flummoxed and would love help. I can get to the "How to Play" page (https://bigbrothercanada.globaltv.com/game/how) but where it says "EARN POINTS NOW" I can't click on anything. I'd love to View Photos or Read Blog Posts, etc., but where the heck are they? Help!

Just delurking to say ... I like Frankie. So does my husband (in fact, he was shocked when I told him people generally disliked him on the web). I find him generally joyous and playful--he reminds me of me, only with more squeal. So he's got a least two fans!

In all fairness, that's her job. If she didn't ask the people who failed about their failure, or ask the people who succeeded about their success, she'd get fired.
