  1. I am still flummoxed by what the show creators are doing. I mean...what? So ends this stub? It's still there, Flynne just got killed out of it. The rest of them are still alive. So, does this mean they have no plans to go back and tell us what happens to them, all left on the brink of peril? They did such a good job of developing these characters that, yes, I want to know what happens now to Tommy and Jasper and Billy Ann and Corbell and Burton. Speaking of Burton, he would likely immediately go back to the future and start f**king shit up with gusto. He is still a threat. Dee Dee has a sample of Flynne's bacteria. There's no reason to believe Cherise wouldn't still nuke the place, if just out of spite. And is Connor supposed to tell Burton the truth?? Then what? Etc etc Meanwhile, Flynne has made a new undisturbed timeline, but Lowbeer told her in the original timeline, Burton dies. I guess the theme is rebooting like a video game, but I'm not watching a video game, I'm watching a story about people.. Wasn't Flynne''s point that it's not a game?
  2. Watched again with my husband, who did like it. I haven't changed my opinion. But now I have time to opine, lol. This really fell apart for me. What I did like: Wilf & Flynne, and Alaeta's part about the implants. But if Ash was tracking them with her magic 8 ball, why doesn't she now know where Aleata is too? Or do they not care since they know the information is inside Flynne, so Aleata doesn't matter anymore? Don't they know Aleate is a Neoprim? Wilf does. Ash claimed she wanted to give the data to the Neoprims, when the Neoprims stole it in the first place. Instead she goes to Cherise? Remind me never to commit a crime with Tommy. Why in the heck did he put the gun back in the evidence bag???? And take it with him? I'm mystified by Flynne's plan. How is this not all going to repeat itself in another stub anyway? How could she get back to Lowbeer, with the data, unless it all happened again? Meanwhile she's abandoned her brother. Everything is still happening in their timeline. Burton will go OFF THE RAILS after her death and want to cause all sorts of trouble. Legless Connor is still stuck in this existence. There are still heaps of problems here. Maybe Cherise won't go thru with the silo thing, but isn't the Jackpot going to happen anyway? Why didn't they just LEAVE? I find it difficult to believe Connor would have really shot her. Why didn't she just kill herself? Is there going to be This Burton and a New Burton visiting the future? He's actually my favorite character and he wasn't even in this episode. That's my list of complaints for now. lol
  3. That's what Connor wants to do. I think that's possibly a clue, and also part of the bigger question of the meaning of "life." I think the answer to that is what he told Cherise. He married one, and he is subordinate to her, including accepting her cheating or anything else she wants to do. Does she know what he's up to with Aelita and the stub? Because it seems like she would be a big help now that the Met is on his back. (Another point to them still being alive is Cherise's threat to use his DNA to kill him and everyone he's related to. But that could STILL mean they used their own DNA to make the machine bodies. AAHH, this is making me crazy, lol) I think it takes a lot of money to live like these people do. The peripherals, the augmented reality, the servants, the robots. The Jackpot itself selected for some quite sociopathic individuals. Are the Neoprims altruistic? Or just their own version of psychopath. Aelita believes she has a righteous cause but she's pretty brutal about it. I wonder if in the still ruined landscape beyond the mirage if there are people living out there, like Aelita and Wilf used to, Mad Max style. Or if it's unsurvivable. My friend (the only one I can get to watch this so far!) thinks that AI is doing the studies, this Godfont thing, and is attempting to recreate humanity with the few left. I don't know, but every week I want to find out more! Glad you like talking about it!! There is so much going on!
  4. Could the data be stored in the headset now?
  5. I thought the same thing! But I rewatched that episode, and the bad guys were getting gas so they must have been in another area. This episode, we meet the local sheriff. So the dead sheriff would have just appeared to have been hit by a car, off in another county. Burton seems to actively dislike Tommy, and it's personal, not because he's the deputy. I wonder if it's related to killer Bob saying he didn't see Tommy as being ex-military. Maybe he's the only one that didn't sign up when their group of friends went in and did the haptics thing, and Burton resents him for it.
  6. I had been thinking this, but confounding factors: I remember that Lev asked Wilf how long Aelita could actually last without the immunity provided by her implant, Also, Daniel seems to have actually been murdered, because the robotic version of him is obviously a copy. Why couldn't Cherise just make another of him if he wasn't real. And the Inspector is investigating his murder. Grace had two children, and Aelita even suggested it was a stipulation. Perhaps you're required to repopulate if you're married. My theory is the people are as ravaged as the landscape and they're holed up in various places operating their picture perfect peripherals. Or they just have a "cloaking" device on themselves. Aelita and Wilf were kids and they grew up and appear to be the correct age for the timeline. Lev exists in Flynne's time as an adult, with kids. He and his family exist in this same state decades in the future. So are they dead? Is Lev an old man somewhere in a room operating this body? Do the implants prevent aging? Certainly you wouldn't prevent the children from growing up if they were real. His whole situation is very weird. As I write this, I just remembered that Wilf had to wear a blindfold to go into Lev's club, because certain patrons didn't wish to be seen. Maybe they were old and feeble and not in their "outside" bodies.
  7. Stories like this often deal with fate. So. do the efforts to "save the world" continually cause the end of the world, over and over? What will Burton do when he finds out his haptics were implanted by and controlled by evil people in the future? They interact with the past thru this "data transfer" which obviously relies on electricity. If someone like Burton Fisher and his military unit discover they are being controlled this way, would they not...hack the electrical grid, causing the Jackpot? The final disaster is in their town, but is it the Fishers destroying the connection or the Future destroying their resistance? Plus we have multiple factions in the future. It seems being "terrifyingly good" means it's Aelita's interference with the past that could actually cause them to fight back and create the apocalypse. She also said she enjoyed the power that comes with ordering them around, playing with her dollhouse, as it were. Then there's Lev. So it seems everyone enjoys playing the "sim" of the past, making quite a mess. Anyway, I look forward to more! And to see how they go on the offense.
  8. Yes! I also think it's going to be Burton and Co. or at least related to them. And why they were chosen for the headset. It is really unsettling to think about how much Burton and friends have been and are being manipulated and controlled. In the carrot & stick speech, he assumes it's the haptic connection between the men that makes him respond certain ways. But the way Grace got so excited about discussing controlling their brains, it makes me wonder. Also, From the beginning I have always gotten the sense that Burton is holding something back from Flynne. They always show him staring intently at her for a few extra moments here and there, like he may know more than he's saying.
  9. I think she doesn't realize it could go into her actual self. She wasn't even in her own avatar; she was Easy Ice/Burton and he "died."
  10. I love this show! At what point does Tommy think, maybe I don't want to know any more about this? I think the first time I found a cloaked car would be it for me. Above my pay grade! I do like how this show is spinning out the inevitable consequences and complications of trying to keep secrets in a small town. My favorite part was the mom lecturing Flynne and Burton on taking things from strangers from the future. lol Terrifying to think about the future people testing anything and everything on the present people.
  11. I like this show, and I like the addition of the boys, because I would like to see the boys and the girls team up against Gretchen and company. It would the antithesis of her plan and her philosophy for Adam and Eve to unite against her. But to me, the fundamental flaw of this story is that Gretchen had no reasonable exit plan for her crazy experiment, even if everything went "well." I mean, she kidnapped and tortured them. How was she EVER going to explain a fake plane crash? Furthermore, imprisoning the kids in the bunker is even worse than the island survival part. This would only be believable with people like Toni and Dot who could be lost in the system, and now I'll add Raf to that because his parents are poor in Mexico. Which would make it a creepier story because maybe some psycho out there would try it. I wondered if Marisol's parents are investors in this, and they were so generous because they are getting rid of Raf. And their support of the scholarship system is to find exploitable people. But the others?? Maybe they could have played it that Shelby's and Fatin's parents were willing to exile their wayward daughters, but they have shown Gretchen actually telling Leah's parents she's doing great at the retreat. Rachel's parents would never accept it either. These doctors wouldn't get sued, they would go to jail for all of this.
  12. Maybe it's the pilot from last season.
  13. I actually had a staff member call in sick the other day saying she had an allergic reaction to...bananas. And I was like...is she..,watching this show? Or actually allergic to bananas?
  14. Do you think Luke was killed by the buffalo or that he survived like Autumn? If he died, that's pretty much the end of the Tillersons.
  15. Sheriff Joy went to that one guy's house (the mastadon guy) and followed a black crack in the ground to the buffalo grounds. So the hole isn't the only portal. He really wanted to lure her there for that, and he looks like an older Perry. Maybe? Also, if she let Daddy go to court, he'd go to jail. I'm not saying this really all makes sense though. Her character's actions don't make any sense to me, but I guess whatever is going on with her mother is the key to that. That was the best twist, that Rebecca wasn't dead or disappeared, and that's where Amy went.
  16. Perry, you fucking moron.
  17. Even though they are introduced to us as the protagonists of the story, I've decided this show works better if you see the Abbotts as the bad guys. Royal didn't learn to cheat at poker like that just that day. Team Tillerson over here. lol
  18. He hides that photo of his parents that's pretty old-fashioned, which must be why he hides it. Maybe he came from the time of the buffalo with the arrows in it. And that's why the hole freaks him out so badly. It must only appear every so often and now it's back. I wonder about him asking Autumn if she had been in a cult. There were some American doomsday cults in the 1800's. A big time hole might prompt one. haha. For a second I thought maybe it was an Us type of thing and maybe a version of Tillerson grabbed himself. But then I realized it had to be Royal. And he had a flash of the same boy when he stuck just his hand in during the first episode.
  19. So...does anyone else think maybe Royal came out of that hole in the first place when he was 9?
  20. Somebody better be wearing a bear head next weekend.
  21. Not sure why she hasn't been expecting all his terrible actions when she first saw him throw a body in a hole in the dead of night.
  22. I think Cecelia wants the bear to maul her, because she's the one mocking God by covering up the murder.
  23. I was really liking this show, but everyone is turning tv show stupid. At least Perry is being portrayed as stupid. In fairness to Royal, I believe he's going crazy. I think the hole makes people crazy. I also wonder if Autumn not physically wearing the necklace is making her lose her composure. But that's her fault for wagering it, which was stupid (see above).
  24. Perry is so stupid it makes this show hard to watch. Like even with every weird, insane, confusing thing going on, that's all I can think to say.
