  1. Sorry, still not a reason to bypass the US agencies and kill American workers. Involve the FBI, raid the joint and get the chip back. It's on the writers though.
  2. I'm not sure the motives were even explained. Mossad killing Americans, in the US? Why? To get some software that Americans produced? Was it ever proven that all of the fish processor guys were bad? I also think too much of a free ride is given to the writers. The "show" doesn't make poor, lazy, predictable and simplistic writing decisions, writers do. And after watching some Orphan Black, and Tatiana's performance there, it's really difficult to sit through this garbagefest.
  3. This is so bad, it's becoming unwatchable quickly. Liz is a murderer, and accessory too (harbor master). But who cares, give her her badge and gun. Garbage simpleton Hollywood endings every week. Oy. I'm only in it now to see what happens to Mr K. And Oded? Kinda odd looking if you ask me, but I'm a guy so what do I know.
  4. So the wife then can go to the FBI or police re the abduction.
  5. Anybody else wonder why the FBI doesn't go to Atwood's house and interview his wife? I mean they talked to Hannnah. Mz A must be curious where the hell her son is.
  6. Except WHEN does Lizzie want to learn about her mother? Next year? Why doesn't she just go in and ask the questions she wants answered. Kirk is right there. I am so tired of all this stupid, inane, asinine dragging out of a storyline. Im only watching for Red, Dembe, and some hot Navabi at this point. Who keeps getting saved by Ressler for some crappy writing reason. Btw, why does Lizzie always wear black pants? (Rhetorical) C-
  7. Still garbage, but expected for a network show. The death penalty for someone who turns on you and maybe tries to kill you, or puts your life in danger may be appropriate , but the motives for kaplan's actions were nowhere near that level. No. 2, lizzie herself deceived Red, so what does she deserve? And how about Tom? Lizzie's doctor? At least, I thought, Red would collapse while walking away after shooting Kaplan. Show us some emotion. I don't know that we've seen this side of Red yet. A killer with no remorse, even when someone so close to him is involved? He deserves some kind of blowback from this, but it will probably be glossed over, as ALL of lizzie's killings have been. D+
  8. I'm getting tired of the eppy titles. It's not as if Kirk was on the list. Red didn't even know about him prior to Susan's reveal. Does Red know he is Lizzie's pop? Furthermore, the premise that the listers are 'dealt with' has been out the window for a while.
  9. So does Red know who Lizzie's father is or not? Last week he got the identity of her killer from Susan Hargreaves sp? as if he had never heard of Kirk. Next thing you know, her mother will pop out of the shadows. Yeesh! D+
  10. Was there a reason that I missed, other than showing red leaves, that Ramse had to be killed in the woods? And why again did he "have to die?" This is getting almost as convoluted as Continuum. Cassie can wear jeans anytime as far as I am concerned.
  11. I agree Drusilla. The bilge about Liz at the funeral only made me think of the harbourmaster she watched her now hubby kill and the AG she murdered. Now she is a poor widdle dead girl and he's a cute daddy. GMAFB PS And another big bad, again in the government? Really?
  12. I agree completely. I had to turn off all of the lights, let my eyes adjust, and still could barely make out what was happening in the home alone sequences. And this on a 60" screen. Oy vey! I don't think Liz is dead either. We'll see later in the episode titled Solomon Pt. 3.
  13. I still can't get past the manufactured love crapfest. I remember season 1 or two, when Tom was waiting in his hideout and tried to KILL Lizzie. Now we see a flashback, and all of his lies are suddenly genuine. I'll try to find the eppy , but as I remember, he would have killed her without a second thought. Almost did.
  14. To the point of the "meanie" DEA agent, if this were Angie Tribeca, that scene would be funny, but this is not a comedy, at least intentionally, so a good guy ending up that way is telling of the writers mindset primarily. That is, "let's telegraphs this useless redshirt, black, jerk's death, and fulfill expectations for a fifth grader fist pump moment." It's one of the oldest, overused tropes. Make a character loathsome to some degree, then when they die, the audience feels ok with it. And it was telegraphed from the first scene with him, where he was uncooperative. The more anvils that are dropped the more contempt the writers have for the audience. It's insulting. Comrade. Again, "our heroine" has murdered an AG, attempted to murder a cop, and covered up a murder she witnessed on the boat. She got away with it all through power and influence (Red). Kinda like how the ag and the cabal got away with their murders and corruption, but she is better than them for some reason?
  15. Well the baddies who locked the gates want to contain the people for mass casualties. An evacuation would get more people farther away from ground zero, saving lives. The gas will not kill all of Berlin, only those in a certain vicinity.
  16. I agree that this was a tense episode, ala 24, but with many jumps of the shark. The difference between a show like this and an average slap shot show should be good writing, with the least amount of fanwanking involved, but with some thought needed on the part of the viewer. I can only hope we return to that in the next episode. The absolute worst was the university prof shooting. A "debrief" in the ambulance should have been more than enough to poke holes in Allison's story. 2 guns, 3 people shot? How did it go down again Allison? And there's no way the prof would have taken the gun away from a larger, trained CIA field officer. Oy. I've been to a lot of train stations and have yet to seen one with ZERO police around. With the alert level elevated. And a 4 year old would have hit the fire alarm by now.
  17. I thought this was the worst episode of anything I've seen in a while- if not ever. I just don't understand the mindless writing that was put in to a professional production. 1) There is NO suspense when a Mason is in peril because not a drop of Mason blood will ever be spilled. Meaning no Mason will die. Tom's wife did not have Mason blood. Doesn't count. 2) Tom walked back to Norfolk? Carrying Anne? Can anyone defend that writing? It would have made as much sense if he had just called and had Scotty beam him there. 3) The Lt's death was telegraphed so comically. A 2 year old could have seen it coming. 4) The daughter died 1500 years ago? Mom didn't look a day over 1000 to me! How about my grandmother died and I'm here to avenge her? 5) So I guess the Espheni in that time checked out all of the 200 BILLION other planets in the galaxy over that time. In order to do that they would have to be able to travel at light speed. But still be foiled by our tech and amazing resolve. Ok then. 6) The Pope shit - so bad, not even worth mentioning. I guess when you get to produce and star in your own show, you do whatever it takes to make yourself the hero.
  18. I'm not sure how anyone's love of Pope would lead the writers to write him as such a loathsome character sjohnson. He is drawn as unredeemable to the core. Of course this is at root because he is anti Mason, the devil, where in this show Mason is god. I agree with the post above that this show is written for 10 year olds. Possibly also written BY ten year olds. This is an example;
  19. I would talk about the Hal triangle/rectangle whatever garbage but it's not worth my time. The writing on the show is so simplistic and juvenile it's unbelievable. The whole point of the farmhouse crap was to show how absolutely desirable Tom Mason is (as a leader and now a man) and that he is, of course, always right about everything. I mean, he even had to bandage up momma's hand!?! The kid wanted to go and fight and Tom was right to tell the mother he has to make his own choice, but of course that choice was not the correct choice as the great Tom Mason pointed out. The last straw of stupidity was grampa pulling up the old truck and just giving it away. Two minutes later, they reunite with the 2nd Mass. How much of this is left?
  20. Do the skitters need direction? I mean the overlord was captured. Why were they worried about an attack so much? My guess with these writers is that ALL Masons will survive to the end. Dr. Moon too. Group hug. Closing credits.
  21. Examples of poor writing in this episode included the fact that the lovers were the only ones sent out to go up the trail and find, wait, what were Pope and Sara looking for anyway? Alone. Too much "baby"and "honey" too, as mentioned upthread. Well, anyway they couldn't have a decent sized recon team sent, just in case someone got stuck in artichoke bomb quicksand??? Reminds me of the Following, where there are always only TWO people sent into whatever soon to be blown up building/kidnap scene/evil freak's completely dark lair. Example two are the wasps. Um, how come the camp wasn't overrun by them when the skitters attacked? And why weren't they flying out of the barn that the skitters were coming out of before it was blown up? The mfg of whom seemed retconned btw. Example three is when skitters attack and the cameras go into extra shaky mode because the sfx budget is apparently dwindling. Gives me a headache. Also, Stated above was this; "I thought that was an Esh communication device. Remember how they squeezed a rock last season? Anthony had no business there. He could have just shot the Esh in the hand or arm. " Nice how one of only two AA characters here gets to be a total dumbs hit. Also notice how more than 2 = redshirt? Ugh.
  22. A pretty good episode but I can't help being disgusted with the obvious foreshadowing of the cute white Walker womans death. Very anvillicious just showing her face so many times and the way she showed her kids off you knew she was done for. Also very low budget fight scene staging. You know it is not choreographed well when you cannot tell anything that is going on because of all the camera shaking.
  23. Terrible mess this was. I couldn't believe the "hey Fitch, homeland security, hop in," bullshit. Then the agent in the backseat gets shot? So he didn't realize that his partners were switched out with baddies? Lazy writing. And Boone yelling in the boat was cringeworthy. I welcome the hiatus. Now only if The Americans would hurry back....
  24. But isn't that a detective's job? I think a me cuts up bodies, examines brains, lungs, etc, as opposed to doing csi. I agree with previous posters that the real detective needs to contribute more. This is too much Sherlock, or Reddington smartest man in the room fawning. Otherwise, I love the humor, and overall tone. Hope it doesn't get canceled or go off track.
  25. This. But I guess it will be revealed later along with the door, and the keys, etc. It also bugs me that Harold walks with a cane and huge limp while Ressler runs to and fro after almost losing his leg not so long ago. And how is Mossad agent not able to take down a stupid cultie dude? And then he even manages to somehow hold both her hands, while on top of her, reach into his man purse, grab his inhaler, put it up to her face, and spray her, all while she just lies there like a baby? All that was missing was some mustache twirling exposition. Finally, Red wouldn't have gotten the key if this group hadn't surfaced and spread the 'plague.' So I guess it was coincidence? Really?
