  1. Finally, Angela Bassett brings some levity to this season! It has been gloomy as hell till she showed up!
  2. Well, Eve Batey got her wish. Liv finally dressed differently after eating some brains. And I got my wish - that Liv neatened up that awful haircut.
  3. Inspired by the Loser of the Week, I found you guys some actual dance fraud.
  4. We shared lockers in high school, but it wasn't necessarily a romantic thing. If you ended up with a locker out in BFE, that you could never get to in the 5 minutes between classes, you'd team up with a friend with a better locker location, and stash your coats in the BFE locker.
  5. This is your brain with a side of bacon and toast. And this is brainos rancheros. When Kelly thought the drug dealer in the club looked hot, I was like "WHAT?!" That guy looked terrifying! Like Tony Montana and Danny Trejo had spawned! Spawned a scary drug pusher child! I like how Steve and Andrea sort-of went as each other's dates. Nice callback to a sweet moment in Down and Out of District.
  6. Ah, sorry, I didn't think about the West Side Story song...which...is appropriate for a funeral...how? It's about 2 people in love who can't get together because society...whatever. Weird choice. Lotta awkward in this episode, so I guess it's fitting. Podcast MVP award goes to David T. Cole for "but when Transformers are involved, there's more than meets the eye." Also for the spandex shroud.
  7. There are no music rights issues at play here. Every original song on this show was replaced with assy "music" before the series was released on DVD. Hulu just sucks, and can't do anything right.
  8. Ghost costumes, with only eyeholes, no nose or mouth, tied around the poor kids's necks, ffs, and so long they could step on them and fall over. Bad idea, 90210. David and DeadScott waiting for the egg fight kinda reminded me of Linus and Sally waiting around for the Great Pumpkin. If only they'd been more sincere.
  9. Didn't Steve and Ohhhhndrea do it, or at least heavily make-out, in the season 1 episode "It's Only a Test," while studying for the SATs? The whole "Do you like me/why" thing by the jukebox seems kinda strange considering their past indiscretion...it should have been a lot more awkward, I think. But I don't mean to sound a little...continuous.
  10. I don't know if anyone's mentioned this, but this is at least the second time that Dan Castellaneta has played Aaron Spelling. He was in a 2004 made-for-TV movie about Charlie's Angels as Aaron. I thought there was a Dynasty "behind the scenes" TV movie where he played Aaron, but I guess I just imagined it, cause I can't find it. Gotta give props to Dave on that Reagan impression. :P Also, I read Priestley's book, and I don't recall a Reagan meet in it.
  11. OMG, you guys are so great getting this up right away! I have to fly to England (or to...Beverly Hills, or something) to see this...still waiting...on those..."flight attendants"... OK enough metaphor Watched the live tweets, can't wait to see the movie, so great to have this podcast to tide me over, thanks guys! :D
  12. If you click on PODCAST RSS, and then click on the speaker with the play button, you can listen to it there. It won't play on this page.
  13. Wow, booze, pool, disobedience?! Dylan needs to resume some of his more wholesome habits, like huffing delicious cumin.
  14. There was no Emily Valentine in this episode! D: Was she killed on the way back to her home planet?!
  15. I didn't watch this back when it originally aired, though I would have been in the key demographic. But I've been hearing people anticipating the arrival of Emily Valentine, so I was stoked to watch this episode last night. I hope she goes on to do better things, because this episode was really underwhelming for me. Emily Valentine reminds me more of Poochie than anything else. People (well, Brenda, Donna, and Kelly) don't like her and wish she'd go away; she is Rastafied 10% more than everyone else; and whenever Emily Valentine is not onscreen, all the other characters are talking about Emily Valentine. Also, DeadScott had clearly visited the Fireworks Factory.
  16. Right?! Why else would Brandon have put the bottles in his pocket? But then there's no payoff.
  17. I watched this last night in preparation for this podcast. This episode felt like it was 5 hours long. Serious contender for Worst! Episode! Ever!
