Haven't seen the episode yet, but you cannot see Athens Acropolis from the middle of the Aegean Sea. You can barely see it from the sea when approaching the port of Piraeus, especially if you are on board of those very high huge cruise ships. Here is a map to help you with the locations:

Maybe because JRR is not such a talented writer after all? The show was in decline since season 3 I think. After the first 2 seasons I was watching the show on TV while working on PC. After season 5, I skipped dozens of episodes cause at that poing I found the show stupid and frustrating. I watched the last episode, it was nice that at least Lassiter had some character development, something that our two man-children, Shawn and Guss never really did. And I really cannot understand why people talk about the amazing friendship between Gus and Shawn. What friendship? This was an abusive relationship. A narcissistic and selfish person was treating his friend like his personal puppet-toy, constantly lying to him, stealing from him, using him, manipulating him, not respecting him at all. And the whole excuse that he was like this because he had daddy and mommy issues was ridiculous. We are not just talking about someone who was refusing to become an adult, but someone who didn't really care about anyone except himself. I really do not understand the fixation of the writer with a man-child persona. He thought it was a vehicle for comedy? he thought he was making somekind of a social comment? He was trolling us? Imagine having to deal with someone like Shawn in real life. I doubt anyone here would manage to tolerate him more than 10 mins. Now that I finished the series (not gonna watch the movies) I would give it a 6/10 for the first two seasons, 3/10 for the rest and overall 2/10 cause I did not like how hard it tried to make likeable a faulty character like Shawn. p.s. edited to add I forgot how badly also Gus was treated by the writers. Apart from being weak and emotionally depended on Gus, he was also transformed to some kind of a really creepy ugly flirting dude looking at women like a sex offender would. I wasn't surprised that at the end of the series he decided to leave everything to keep being Shawn's puppet. It was really sad actually...

Here you are Brie! https://seaworthysecrets.com/laundry-care/ It is a very interesting site and I guess it does answer some of the questions we have from time to time. EDITED TO ADD: Oh dear, it seems they do have theme parties in yachting, not sure if they are as cheap as shown in the BD shows but they do it.

I am dumber than Brie!! ððĪŠ

Amen! There should be a system already that stews simply follow. I read some interesting answers elsewhere, like that there are laundry bags where you could use to separate clothes, especially underwear from different people. There must be rules about washing underwear for so many different people. maybe they are clips with magnets? similar to the ones used to prevent clothes from being stolen from shops?

Not even the production can create such drama. I think Brie must indeed have some kind of disability/OCD. I do suspect though, that production has advised Aesha to go for gross/ scatologic humor this year. Think about it, Bravo likes to show the crew farting, so this kind of humor fits their style nicely. I have no clue if in real charters crew can cross this line talking like this to the guests, even if the guests ask for it. The new stew seems much nicer than the previews showed us. Ellie's insecurities are embarrassing. Maybe after watching this season she could improve herself. I did not mind Sandy reminding Jono to do his job properly, but maybe she should whine more towards the production for hiring a good cook but not a chef. I am curious how the guests think of their party requests. Does Bravo gives them a list to choose from or they let them ask for whatever they could think of? I should had asked that mega yacht crew member at Reddit if real guests do ask for such parties. In a similar question, he answered that guests usual behave nicely and they just want to enjoy their charters.

There are some articles (with Bravo as a source) claiming that the tips are really paid by the guests. I also doubt, mostly because of the logistics, as you also pointed out. The lady, Sandy keeps calling (Nora? Norma?), is probably the production! lol! I could guess there are agencies for yachting, providing this kind of services in location. So if Nor(m)a is a real person, could be indeed based in Greece or near by in Europe. I find funny the charter preparations that happen in the last 5 mins for the shake of TV time. Trying to find the food the guests asked a few hours before they arrive or the decorations for "their" silly parties. Aesha called someone for the fireworks at sea a few hours earlier. I guess it could happen but you take a big risk. EDITED TO ADD: Red it detectives think Norma is this lady and they do have offices in Europe

I think the only real drama is Aesha having one stew less and working way too much. And I am not even sure about that. All the rest seems fabricated. Like the leak that Iain fixed in a few minutes, just two charters before the end of the season. So the production advised (or asked) Aesha to be gross this season with poo and balls "jokes". The production thinks we appreciate this kind of humor. But do we? Who watches this franchise? I had the feeling that the BD audience are adults over 30years old. It seems Bravo thinks they are pre-teens instead. Who is right? It amuses me people get angry with Sandy, she is just playing a role. She does what production asks her to do. She just can't act well and sometimes it is just embarrassing. No serious yacht company would hire most of these people as a crew. It is not about yachting skills, it a crew selected on different criteria: their drama-causing talent and their looks. Jono seems like a nice person, but serving cookies sandwich on a luxury yacht? huh? And still they got a huge tip. It's a mystery!!!! Or the tip is also fake. At the end I will start believing this is not a boat, they never came to Greece and it is all cgi in front of a green screen ð

They made this finale hoping someone will pick the series and keep it running, right? Ok, this whole mini-extra-season wasn't really good. It seemed like rushed and like if the writers had in mind more what the network did to their series than write a decent finale. I am not blaming them. I hope someone WILL save Evil, but for now, I will pretend this mini-season did not exist. It was a great show and I will definitely miss it.

There is a lovely fella in Reddit, a superyacht chief engineer, that answers questions. He said that a leak can be a serious problem and they should have fixed it before starting the charters. Also said that any kind of issues can occur during the season, no matter if the boat is certified or/and inspected. So, their malfunctions from time to time could be indeed true. Which makes me wondering, if they indeed have a main engine issue, like they were supposed to face in a BDSY season, that is not fixable in time, do they cancel the season? What is their plan B?

The leak is a tad confusing. If I understood well, it was a broken pump that was removing the rain water, but the mechanic said that the leak was fixed. Anyone plz got what happened to help me here?

"Daniel" Storm (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Storm_Daniel) that happened on early September 2023, was the deadliest ever recorded in the Mediterranean. In Greece we had 17 deaths...but in Libya they had around 11000 and thousands more still missingðĒ. There was a enormous catastrophe in Central Greece with a cost of at least 2 billions of euros and huge areas were flooded. This weather was so extreme that scientists could not believe the initial predictions. Still, there were warnings by the National Meteorological Service, so I want to believe that Aesha did not started a shore excursion for a destination 20Kms away, but they were just driving around the Marina and all this was scripted. Cause otherwise, they were ALL idiots and the guests should sue their bums! the photo was taken at the very center of Athens ðŪ

I started watching Psych this summer on Netflix. I liked the lighthearted tone, some of the humor, the cast and the locations. I think it is perfect for summer binge watching. I am now finishing season 5. There are some gems, like the Twin Peaks episode - I had no idea and it was so much fun watching it. However, it seems that Shawn has turned to be from eccentric, immature and tad selfish to an almost insufferable character. He was always the show's weakest link for me, but still mostly enjoyable. It is not the case anymore. What really annoys me is his inability/unconcern to realize he can put the lives of loved ones in danger, like Gus and Jules. And it also doesn't make sense anymore that Police still tolerates him. Yes it is a comedy, yes it is fiction, but last time I checked it wasnt sci-fi or fantasy. I just watched the "Police Academy episode with Ralph Macchio" and I ended up fast forwarding most of it. Anyway, I am hopeful things will get better in the seasons following, or at least not get even worst!

I haven't really enjoyed the last 3 episodes... not sure why.. is it that I know this is the finale? maybe they are not so well made at least as good as the ones before them? There is something off with those. I do not want this show to end. Stupid networks!!!
-
You know the guests are not good when they even make Ellie look like an angel. What is wrong with me? I actually liked this episode. They even went on a shore excursion. Yay! And we didn't have much laundry drama. Double Yay! Sad to loose a pet and on top of that not being there. Poor Sandy. Talking about Sandy, I found really amusing telling her story about nasty guests in front of... nasty guests. A tad embarrassing, but they deserved it! Oh Joe...are you gonna make it through this season in one peace? This is the kind of story where I think production ppl have contributed by "pushing the right buttons". Probably by encouraging Ellie to go on a date with Joe. Which wouldn't be hard, Ellie's ego is too big to let her accept that Joe only wants her for sex. From the next episode preview, did anyone get who was Joe in the closed room with?

I know it is a show about demons, but the whole trial thingy was completely unrealistic, even worse than the current Law and Order court scenes. How could they let Leland free with all this evidence against him? And how Leslie just disappeared after she left the room with the Judge? This is ridiculous. Sister Andrea needs her own spin off. Or at least a crossover guest appearance in "Elsbeth". I really wanted the evil lawyer to be David Lee from the Good universe! I would make so much sense.

Well, if it was summer the storm must have been filmed in June where we had a few storms, , otherwise it was indeed September or/and October. I have noticed that in the boat the crew eat packaged sliced bread for toast. Also, I am not sure I have ever seen the guests eat bread. In any case, I doubt the Chef has time to make fresh bread for the crew. So maybe that is why Aesha was so excited! On top of that, it is quite a trend recently for restaurants here to make their own fresh sourdough bread.
-
no clue when they shot the Acropolis visit, but the "wildfires" charter must have filmed on last July. On the other hand, since the whole wildfires danger was kind of fake, now I doubt if they did film the charter last July or they just used last July's wildfires as drama. Acropolis visit doesn't help either, since cruises now come all year and the Rock could be crowded even in February. They do need special license to film, but they give those too easily and they might had stopped the tourists flow till Bravo crew take some shots.
-
How hard it is to do this laundry business? I guess crew must wash their clothes frequently since they work hard and get sweaty and all, but shouldn't there be labels on everyone's items? I mean they wear the same uniforms, it is not that Sandy wears blue and Aesha yellow, if there aren't any labels then clothes will get mixed up. It is not quantum science. Joe is such a cretin, but the "I am pathological flirt" new stew will soon join and then I guess Ellie and Brie will unite against her ð, Sandy will fire them all and Aesha will do all the rest of the charts alone. So the next Charter guests want Michelen kind of meals from an ordinary yachting chef? Lmao at Bravo! It was so sweet that Aesha printed the history of Acropolis to tell to the rest of the crew (and mostly the tv viewers lol).

George is back!!! George is back! George alone makes this episode great! So is Anna Chlumsky really from the future? just a loony? a Vatican agent? an Evil servant? I got confused a bit about the role of Lexy, is she guarding the little 666 so she must be stopped?

S09.E09: This Boat's Not Big Enough for the Stew of Us

Last night, a fire burned completely 3 yachts in the Marina where our boat docks ðŪ My first thought was "Geez, Bravo overdid it this time!" ð -

what if the new stew comes without any of the other two fired? that means the cabin stopped leaking? -

At this point, I am not sure if Aesha takes decisions as a chief stew or she just follows the production's wishes (more and more drama). -

I would really like to have some feedback from an actual captain of a real yacht making real charters. I have the feeling even the way Ellie and Bri behave wouldn't be tolerated, actually they would probably not even dare to behave like this and their chief stew would had kicked them from the boat ages ago. -

I really have no clue what I would do if I had to deal with a co-worker like "Ellie the gaslighter",probably hack her istangram account ð? And I also do not get why Aesha and Sandy blame those two equally. Oh wait, I do, because it is a part of the drama. That of course started from the moment they are minus one stew and Aesha has no time to observe what is going on (another manufactured drama - the leaking cabin). Iain makes you wondering if they cast the crew using an IQ test and not picking up the brightest of the lot. I so much do not care about Gael's boyfriend drama. And Poros is amazing. Always Amazingly Amazing!
