  1. Almost 40 minutes of VK?! I'm glad I don't watch these. BARF. Geez Meredith too?
  2. Nicer, humbler too, I refer to the other one as the "douchey Voltaggio." I hate the added drama IRL Stephanie would have called her husband - not the Top Chef winner friend. Bryan would have called his wife for encouragement.. Michael showing up anywhere just shows how he is definitely going through something. He was on Grocery Games and looked like meth warmed over.
  3. I have my husband watching as well and he looked at me like I kicked a puppy when I voiced irritation at the coming out story. There are so many other ways to flesh out this character - I just thought it was unnecessary. I believe in representation - but Oliver and Peter's storyline, JJ's storyline - brings representation. Overkill, that's the word. They are bringing another child into this story line - when half the time Tess is missing. Peter was watching Hope at the church function, Oliver was there, - WHERE WAS TESS?! I see that this show is between a rock and a hard place. Even with shows, I hate, I appreciate closure. They are moving quickly through the "year" of service and I understand they are tying the storylines up just in case the show is cancelled. What if it is though? Is there enough to carry through other seasons. I will admit - I like this better than This is Us.
  4. Luly has said some things that still keep me seeing her as selfish. I loved that she stuck up for JJ. I would think the MIL's belief would hurt all of the Perry's - but Luly mentioned "how do you think that would make me feel?" I do feel for Evan because he's in the middle.
  5. I just thought it would be more of an explanation for why she called Anthony instead of him.
  6. I know that they had to find an older photo of Brooke - but wow, that was awful. I didn't recognize her.
  7. They are really running through the "year" Scott asked the Council for. I just hope if they want to cancel - they wrap it up.
  8. I thought that's where they were headed when they brought in the long lost partner Micah. But I think Isaac's mother is the newspaper lady .
  9. That was evident during the pilot. They broke up. Evan comes running when Luly calls and declares, "I'm not just your grieving buddy." Luly replies, "you're not just my grieving buddy. By the way, my dad died." SMH lol - I hate watch most shows. lol.
  10. I'm confused - why would he need swimming lessons for their cruise? He's already been on one - ALONE. The folk one where he met Roy.
  11. I was the one who posted that he looked awful on Grocery Games. I have no idea if he has had an addiction problem. This is Top Chef - but for as many seasons as it has been on, often, the "best" chef has not won. I tend not to like the braggarts, the asshole chef. The douchey Voltaggio filled that role during his season. I feel like Bryan came across better - in personality and cooking. I stan Bryan as well and have been saddened to hear that his restaurants have not been successful. I don't think it's been because he is not a good chef - but some people have had luck with "schticky" restaurants. I mean.. Guy Fieri.
  12. I feel like the Council of Dad is just another set of people to add to this family quilt. Luly grew up with Scott, they added Robin, Scott + Robin had angsty brother (can't remember his name), they adopted an Asian girl, JJ? (he is introduced by Luly as "there's my brother") is he adopted too? Then like when you eat all your leftovers for dinner one night and add a plate of scrambled eggs to fill in the crack - Robin + Scott had an oops baby. People have posted that the show is filmed in Savannah - but has it said that they are located in Savannah? Savannah is 200+ miles away from Atlanta!
  13. I felt he got cheated his first season - by of all people, the douchey Voltaggio. He really has not found success since then - his restaurants don't seem to have much luck. The douchey Voltaggio was on Grocery Games this week and he looked like a heroin addict.
  14. None of them really know who Danny Trejo is. When they opened up the crate..... it was like crickets. I could see that. Danny Trejo is very versatile - his taco restaurants, while "healthy" - probably a little too low brow for these chefs. They all have a tinge of pretension to me. Malarkey in the car with Voltaggio and Kevin. Like the hanger on with the cool kids. If he is one of the most established chefs - WTF with the Shrek concept?! bye, girl. Bye.
  15. and he will take over the Krusty Krab. I knew that Luly was Anthony's when the mom mentioned him in the pictures.
  16. Shelter in place makes you do crazy things. I bought the audio version of her book. There were many chapters devoted to her courtship with Ladd AKA Marlboro Man. Did her brother Mike pass away? I thought he did - but a google search doesn't confirm.
  17. This isn't the first time she's guessed the correct not obvious singer. She's too stupid - even Ken is more believable when he guesses correctly. I've always felt TPTB feeds her the correct answers.
  18. I'm here for the Malarkey ratio Yes this a competition - but the history of Top Chef doesn't seem to favor the chefs that are calculating. Your food should always speak for itself. Malarkey can burn with his book. His expressions are so over the top - he reminds me of a Kardashian with all of his effort put into trying to move his mouth.
  19. The only promising thing about Gerald and Janet romance is getting rid of Chelsea. She's annoying.
  20. Did I miss something? Did Randall mean something specific? Or he meant ashamed in general?
  21. I like Bryan Voltaggio - he kind sucks at running restaurants, though. I prefer him to the Douchey Voltaggio. The colored hair James Beard winner - I don't remember at all. I hope Nini gets a little further (and Malarkey goes quick).
