This is the one thing I can positively say about this show. The child actors (save for teenage Kevin) who portray Kevin are spot on. Regarding The Manny - I just read Kirk Cameron’s net worth is 10 million so it’s possible to be one sitcom and nothing else and still be ok.

So not a Madison fan. Kevin coming across as jealous seems like a bunch of writer making his wife seem desirable crap to me. Kate falling for her jerk boss is more crap. I don’t ever speculate but watching Randall meet the burglar made me say outloud “he’s going to say the people in the picture look happy.” I only comment on shows that I hate watch. I got sucked in and binge watched first two seasons and the others IRT. I just want it to be over.

Linda planted the seed to keep the dress as proof. Of course no one can say for sure if those 11 other people would have kept the secret. If not for that “proof” Monica would have been written off as delusional etc. I mean heck even with the proof she was. Sorry I binged all the boards before posting. I thought I read that Monica said in an interview she still resents Linda Tripp. There are so many facets to this story - when it happened I was a few years older than Monica. I didn’t pay attention at the time because I was young and not interested. Lol even back then Bill Clinton was not in any way, shape or form attractive. I have an uncle from Little Rock. One time when my grandmother visited there she got to meet Bill Clinton. I heard she bypassed the SS went right up to him and introduced herself. She just passed this year at age 94. I never asked if she thought he was attractive or anything. Lol

I don’t know if I have sympathy for Linda Tripp but I don’t think she should have been vilified as much. While I don’t agree with how she went about it - I don’t think she should be blamed more for snitching than the actual deed that she snitched on. Monica told 11 people. How about all the WH staffers who knew as well? Linda Tripp was a wife and a mother and remarried - Monica didn’t get to experience any of those things - not because Linda snitched on her. If Monica still has resentment towards her - I don’t think she’s learned a thing. If anything - without the dress - Monica would have been written off as a crazy who imagined the whole thing. I don’t know what’s worse.

I feel like her heart wasn’t in it. Kelli was very hard on her and she got such an unflattering edit. I feel like it reflected a lot on Shelly too - by sticking with the organization.

The thing is I believe it is easier to tolerate someone who makes squad that doesn’t necessarily have ability. Half the squad is a bunch of blenders - they just somehow appealed to Charlotte, et al. Now creating drama is a different animal especially if it involves someone like Jalyn. She is a talented dancer and has a positive disposition, etc. When this happens, the fans notice. All in all it lessens the credibility of the organization.

I have never heard of Tremaine. My daughter’s studio participates in YAGP, NYCDA, and maybe Showstopper every once in awhile. I asked my daughter if she’s every heard of them and she said yes. She’s not sure if they have conventions in CA but they had one in the Midwest where she went to undergrad. I don’t know how many people watched Dance Moms - but for the show at least, the competitions where they competed were made up. Most of the larger ones didn’t allow taping. My daughter mentioned that Tremaine is more of a “jazz” type convention which makes sense. I also google’d what a Tremaine year long scholarship was and from their website it looks like free entrance to their conventions for a year. Dance competitions are half competition/half convention. Teams/solos compete - but they also learn combinations from different choreographers. They usually have the winners help teach the combinations. It’s not cheap to attend or compete. I don’t want to say what she won was worthless - but I don’t think the scholarship covers transportation/housing to these competitions when they are in different states (like a tour). Being a NYCDA national title holder - part of the responsibility is to teach, but they don’t pay for transportation. The winners are banking on the exposure.

Why this is unbelievable to me is regardless of how many awards are given - you still have to have skill. Technique is not VK’s forte, hell natural dance ability isn’t either (I admit that may be personal opinion). I compare her to the many dancers I’ve seen win and I just don’t believe it.

Thank you - exactly. I mentioned a dancer that danced with my daughter and while she has won titles and scholarships to summer intensives, she’s never won a school scholarship (she’s 16 or so now). Same dancer has won first place in her division consistently at YAGP which I feel is the more “legit.” I know of two dancers that have won 4 year college scholarships through NYCDA. Their level of dancing is just mind blowing - two very different styles too. VK isn’t up to their level now - what more at 12?

I call 298 (2% truth / 98 % lie) on this one. I have never seen VK compete outside of NYCDA and they award partial scholarships to summer intensives. What REALLY makes me not believe this is VK is a sucky dancer. She may pass in the DCC world but even NYDCA has legit dancers and awards “titles.” Those dancers travel to the different regional competitions and teach the combinations. Check out Mahalaya Tintiangco-Cubales on YouTube. She has won every national category for every age division. That’s the level of dancer that wins. Another thing about dancing - you may have your Misty Copeland stories here and there but most dancers are eliminated before they even dance because of body type.

What terrifies me the most about this scenario is that in 18 years Kalina3 will be hailed as the second coming of Christ in the DCC world.
