  1. It was interesting and I enjoyed Emily Blunt and her potatoes but I kept wondering who originated the idea for this mash-up. Was it some sort of corporate synergy thing from the suits or is it just that Ina is a big fan and asked if it could happen?
  2. I so want to be able to say, "End of conversation," and just walk away.
  3. So, the night of the particle accelerator explosion Barry went to the hospital with a blob of Chekhov's dark matter infused gum stuck to the bottom of his sneakers. Will this meta-gum be the key to stopping Cicada, or alt!Thawne, or...whatever?
  4. Wasn't that due to Nan being a witch, that she could get guys interested in her, perhaps unconsciously, if she was interested?
  5. All I can say about this latest episode is that a little bit of Gai and Lee together goes a long way.
  6. I remember that ball of truth back when it was a cube on The Good Place. I guess I'm not the target audience since I thought there was altogether too much kissing. Maybe it wasn't so much the kissing but who was doing it.
  7. Another filler episode, this time with what looked like old school animation, wherein a big fetus/Mothra pupa transforms into a Cthulhu/Godzilla hybrid which then transforms into a Cthulhu/Godzilla/Rhodan hybrid. And Gai-sensei still hasn't completely emptied his stomach on the high seas.
  8. This show is so educational. From the cultures of foreign lands to Italian cuisine and now a primer on child care products. Can I get class credit from watching this?
  9. If you have to beat up people into recognizing you as the alpha you're not much of an alpha, you're just a common bully.
  10. The whole thing with the snail was gold.
  11. Liquid nitrogen is a fire accelerant now? Did their lawyers insist on saying that so some young head full of mush doesn't burn himself up trying it out?
  12. I now have an urge to visit my local Asian market to see if they have some cool potato chip flavors.
  13. All the while Josuke was fighting Chili Pepper I kept waiting for Koichi to attack its user directly. Then they both go and ignore him instead of securing him. Stupid, guys, really stupid.
  14. Grrr...science fail...unless you have an antimatter mine or the equivalent antimatter is not a source of energy. It is a form of energy storage. A very concentrated store of energy. But the setup described made about as much sense as having a car that has to produce it's own gasoline on the fly using another on-board energy source. It would be far more efficient to use that energy to run an engine directly without the middleman. Given the sound issues and not having closed captioning available on the secondary tv set I was relegated to I didn't quite understand the status of the ship - was it just the equivalent of an ambulance or something that would be involved in more dangerous areas (there was talk about some border area they didn't want to cross)? And I didn't get just why the pregnant dude needed to be conveyed across interstellar space for adequate obstetrical care.
  15. I was especially impressed by the ghost broom. I didn't even know there were such things.
  16. Hope is on my s***list for tearing a page out of a book. Sure, it was a book of dark, evil magic and sure, she might be able to magically repair it, but still...
  17. I think that is Mimosa.
  18. I hate spiders so I was totally with not!Trump with the kill 'em all bit. What was the Doctor expecting to do with the giant spider in the ballroom after they got it out of the hotel? The spiders in the safe room, wait till they all starved to death? The Kevin-killing spider coming out the bathtub reminded me of an old Night Gallery episode. A guy with arachnophobia keeps killing a spider and it keeps coming back, larger each time...
  19. Is it just me or did Kuranai come across as someone who really likes her sake? How many more episodes before Boruto finally tells someone in authority about the dark chakra that's been messing people up?
  20. It's an episode of The Best Thing I Ever Ate with amazingly delicious and exquisitely painful Italian health food. I first thought the chef would have trouble building a clientele with the physical agony that accompanies the meal but then I remembered that there are plenty of people who go around to places trying to burn off their taste buds with weaponized chili peppers so, yeah, it could happen.
  21. I was wondering whether Landon's compulsion didn't take because he had already been pre-compelled by someone else - when someone at the school gets in your face, gazes into your eyes and starts to give you orders to forget stuff, pay no attention to what they say. After you steal this one particular dagger [specifics to follow] and they try to put the whammy on you again pretend to go along then hightail it to following destination...
  22. In Bubble's Christmas horror show she sliced with her knife at the guy's throat but then his guts spilled out. That there is some real talent!
  23. So, if one pipeline power relay thingy goes kablooey they all go in a big cascade of kablooey? What grade school engineering dropout designed it like that? Couldn't Joe have at least tried to engage Cicada in some dialogue to get some better insight into what his deal was? At this point how much could Star Labs stock be worth anyway? In other iterations of the DC universe Star Labs franchises were at least as plentiful as Starbucks so maybe they are all wildly successful except the one in Central City. So many questions in just one tv show.
  24. The fact that numerous characters over the seasons are played by the same actors is something for us, the viewers. To the the characters themselves they do not look the same (unless and until someone in-story comments on an uncanny similarity). Some wildly pie in the sky speculation and prognostication - Since it seems the reason Michael has such powerful magical woowoo powers is because he is actually the SoS rather than a manwich, he may have been awarded the title Supreme but he isn't really a Supreme. But since Cordelia has been physically waning there must be a real next Supreme out there. So here's where I go way out onto the end of that limb - the real next Supreme will turn out to be either Emily (!) or Timothy (!!) who, because of their potential supreminess are only merely dead (and get better) and not most sincerely dead. This will at least rehabilitate a story line that never went anywhere. The above is almost certainly completely wrong.
