It is common in the South to give a child their first name after the mother's maiden name, e.g. Campbell Brown is from Louisiana and Campbell was her mother's maiden name. In that one photo from the slideshow, Cameran and J.D. look absolutely non-plussed while Danni and Jennifer are laughing it seemed obvious to me that something was happening involving Katherine at that moment.

S08.E08: All The Countess's Men
PickleDeeDee replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Real Housewives Of New York City
I was going to chime in the same thing, I had a pug for 15 years he was good as gold potty trained but take him to another dog's house and first thing he would do is poop. Embarrassing. He just got so excited in the environment he "let go". I think that dog was probably a Shih-Tzu and I think that they are similar breeds to Pugs at least both being Chinese breeds. Maybe TMI but I shed hair like crazy and my pug would get poop like that one hanging by a string and it was because he was a little hoovering machine and would eat anything on the floor which sometimes included my long hair! Just think about Ramona's extensions, hahaha Apologies in advance! -

Not to defend Bethenny (God forbid) but: "Caviar Serving Tips When serving caviar to guests, it is better to serve it in the tin can, with crushed ice surrounding the tin can. Care should be exercised in serving the caviar because the grains should not be broken. It is best eaten using a fork." Caviar guide website -

Oh my gawd, first I find a Twitter account called "Shep's Veneers" and now this: John C. Calhoun Twitter aka @damnit_kathryn. I am busting a seam. -
Katherine's Crib You can say that again! $4500 and Katherine was doing MORE online shopping when Craig stopped by? This is not a woman in dire financial straits. Apparently this is the crib Beyonce and Jay-Z bought....Oh, Katherine.....

In South Carolina it's called "Haint" (comes from the word Haunt) Blue and comes in a spectrum of blue to blue green. It is supposed to originate from the slaves that became Gullah people who believed a spirit wouldn't cross water to come in your door. You see it on door frames and window frames sometimes for this reason. I love it and hope to be able to paint our porch roofs that color someday.

Truly, kind of like not knowing whether to use a glue stick vs VELCRO for a Bar exam application!

This! My god why doesn't he put Bahama hurricane shutters on it or something? How could you build such a soulless home in Charleston? Does it even have a porch?

S06.E14: Not Easy To Love
PickleDeeDee replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
Well, Kyle has been "out-handed' by Kathryn. Did anyone notice how big her hands were? She looks like a much horsier version of Kim Basinger. Also, I found it sad that Kathryn had to be reminded by her sister that dementia takes a higher toll on a person than "What's the big deal if she forgets stuff?". I am not sure moving a person with dementia from everything they have known will be helpful either. Jeez. Eileen looked gorgeous in the picnic table scene. Loved the pony house gift from Mohammed, guess he's forgiven LVP for her statement about him saying the kids were fine. If Andrea Bocelli was singing live in front of me, I would be living in the MOMENT, not mugging dramatically for the camera.... ETA: My Pug used to love to sniff out cigarettes, I don't smoke, but when my mother visited he would always go after them. One day I heard a lot of profanity and yelling, my younger brother had a friend staying with us for a week. My dog had apparently consume his baggie of MJ. It would have been funny if it hadn't almost killed the dog. He lived a long life afterwards and now it is a funny story but beware of what you leave around dogs.... -
S10.E22: Reunion Part 3
PickleDeeDee replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Real Housewives Of Orange County
Because Vicki is BIG into exclusivity. She lives in Coto, an EXCLUSIVE gated community, people who have not had children will never understand how to love a child, only bio moms can do so, people who have not lost their mothers cannot relate to her, people who do not work all the time, including in limousines, do not understand TRUE hard work, people who have never been to Cabo or Havasu don't know what they are missing, beautiful people hired to serve as a sushi table cannot be educated like Vicki's children, people who settle for less than a FAMILY VAN are losers, etc. etc. -
S10.E21: Reunion Part 2
PickleDeeDee replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Real Housewives Of Orange County
I disagree that Brianna is just modeling by example of her mom, Vicki in marriage, I came from a highly dysfunctional family with parents constantly arguing/fighting, domestic violence on a a regular basis. I am happily married for 20+ years. I will say I did have a mother with a good moral compass and this could have been the difference. My mom would not have been part of a pyramid scheme or shacking up with a con-man. So there's that. I liked Meghan's darker hair at first, but she looks weirdly washed out, like the color of her brown hair should have warmer tones in it or something. Her eyes are absolutely beady looking at the reunion. None of the ladies have knocked my socks off in their dresses and the background set is nothing special. Jeez, Andy this is not the time to cut back on the expenses. Vicki's mellow yellow is not helping her, she brings no personality to this reunion at all, Andy should can her a$$. I was stunned by Vicki trash talking Tamara with the comment of "no wonder she lost custody" at the sex party. Now that is the ultimate betrayal of "girl code". If she truly thought that then maybe a quick whisper in your "friend's" ear that sporting a strap on may not be helpful with future custody hearings. Should Tamara have known that already, yes, but to be honest it has no bearing on her custodial fitness if she likes to be raunchy or not. I do believe Tamara is probably a classic NPD (Narcissistic Personality disorder). There are webpages dedicate to children of these kinds of moms. so I kind of do believe the daughter's estrangement is Tamara's own fault, however I am suspicious of Simon Barney's role in that, too. He comes off as a spiteful type. Shannon B has lost some credibility with me by saying she would never talk to the mistress then accosting her at the game. Me thinks Shannon's ego has swollen a bit and she needs to check it. -
OMG I have never heard the term Sanpaku eye, had to google that. Perfect! ETA: Wiki definition of Sanpaku eye:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanpaku

I took another look because something was bothering me about that pic. She has one eye much more prominent (almost bulging) that the other. She probably is disguising the asymettry better now with the use of dramatic make up. If you put a hand over the left side of her image you will see what I mean she looks much more like herself. ETA I actually know someone who had a botched eye job and her eye, before being corrected, looked like Sophie's right eye (left in photos), like it's being pulled down. Normally you don't see that much white of the eye under the Iris. I think she may have had a lower eye lift and it went, as the Brits say, "a bit wonky".

Regarding all the talk of financial need in the Montagu household I just found this article about Luke Montagu (Julie's husband). He won a lawsuit for 1.35 million pounds (over 2 million USD). http://cepuk.org/2015/07/18/rapid-withdrawal-misprescribing-benzodiazepine-leads-1-35m-settlement-luke-montagu-cep-co-founder/ It looks like it was published around July of this year. Of course, no amount of money can make up for a person's health and this probably won't be a dent in their debt, but at least he won. I am going to reconsider my own usage of Klonopin. I take it in a small dosage for GAD (Anxiety).

S10.E08: Judgy Eyes & Tahitian Skies
PickleDeeDee replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Real Housewives Of Orange County
Shannon, seriously? Smelling the pizza? Gross! Meghan, girl you did not pull that hair band atrocity off. Not even nearly. Vicki, Thou callest the kettle blacketh. Brooks, get a job. Lizzie, Chadwick's catalog called from the 80's and they want your wardrobe back, ruffled at the waist? Shannon, ye old misery guts, give David a break and no more snot color talk. Tamara, I highly suspect you did not wash your hands after your emergency "evacuation". That is all. ETA Meghan your self aggrandizement knows no bounds, dying your hair pink to honor your husband's ex-wife = look at me, look at me, ew! -

The T.H. of Kristen with the over done reddish shadow on the sides of her nose up to her eyes looked horrible, yet she is a very "pretty" woman, indeed. It is obvious that Beth is never going to give her the camera time she wants so badly. The green figurines, each one different, on Dorinda's fireplace mantle behind Heather during the dinner party, what are they? Gorgeous. They look Asian but something different, definitely not Pier One. Ramona is my older age inspiration, but considering she was doing aerobic videos or something along those lines back in the 80's, I guess she has kept fit through the years and I have a lot of catch up to do! Her reunion with Avery made me forgive most of her transgressions because I do believe she is a very good mother. The mother-daughter love was evident and looked sincere. Is it me or aren't Pucci prints more of a summer thing? Still, that dress looked fabulous on Dorinda. I would have preferred something more winter though. It is strange how pretty and elegant Dorinda can be at times and in other shots look a bit goofy and toothsome. Heather's full skirt was not flattering and looked Halloween/witchy to me. Bethenny's TH's make her look so hard, her eyebrows, her make up so stark. She needs a softer look or some camera filtering. I wish Heather would lose that reptilian grin, it really does make her look disingenuous. -
I totally agree, all of those tchotchkes in the background looked like a cheap sports bar. It was the opposite of Southern glamour. Such a disappointing venue for the reunion.

Thomas Ravenel & Kathryn Dennis: Will He Put A Ring On It?
PickleDeeDee replied to cooksdelight's topic in Southern Charm
If this guy can get re-elected in the South, I guess there may be a future for Thomas in politics after all: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/05/23/joe-morrissey-sex-scandal_n_7427860.html?ncid=fcbklnkushpmg00000013 -
Did anyone notice that Kathryn still looked chubby cheeked (although slimmer than past episodes) during the restaurant dinner with Thomas scene, yet later at Danni's house she look very thin faced like she does in the most recent TH's? I think that scene was filmed later. Possibly Kathryn was so P.O.'ed at the time she would't allow a follow up scene? The scene where she returns to the house (outside on the bench with the love bugs) she is once again chubby cheeked. I fear she lost a lot of that weight from chain smoking! Does anyone know where Cameran's gorgeous house is located? I could see water in the background, is it oceanfront, Sullivan's Island? BTW, Sullivan's Island has very few short term beach rentals, I think residential code there forbids most weekly rentals, maybe some houses are grandfathered in and maybe Whitney (or Bravo) has at least a 6 month lease then. Isle of Palms and Folly Beach are where most of the summer rentals are. I noticed Shep was wearing a "Bert's" T-shirt in one scene. Bert's is Folly Beach's most beloved Mom n Pop convenience store. Folly is also where most of the surfers go. As for the question above about Landon's accent, she mentioned something in the past about having lost some of her Southern characteristics from living in L.A. for so long. But it is a little strange that her sister didn't have one, either. Her Dad had an accent on the phone with her and I heard her have a little accent when speaking with him. Edited to fix spelling error

I wonder if she gave up her American citizenship or holds dual citizenship now? Maybe she did it for tax purposes. New rules have the IRS sniffing around non-US spouses income. Many Americans have given up their citizenship for that reason.
