  1. Yes very much different. Sansa didn't nearly eradicate her family line and the North with her selfishness. What bugs me about season 8 is that we're likely going to have two different exposition fairies in Sam and Bran to move along things instead of letting things happen organically.
  2. I'm not going to play the semantic game by arguing whether Tyrion pet him or he rested his hand on Rhaegal. Fact is Rhaegal never met Tyrion or even had Dany around to control him and Rhaegal had no idea what Tyrion was there for. Hell, Rhaegal even acknowledged Tyrion's joke so there was some affection in that scene. But ultimately, the point is what Tyrion said in that episode (paraphrasing), "dragons are smart, that they know who their friends are." We likely would've gotten the same reaction from Drogon if it was Missandei out there petting him instead of Jon. The point of that scene was Dany seeing Jon react to Drogon the way he did, as there arent many people around westeros brave enough to react like that to one of her kids.
  3. The architect knew something because he told Electra that she couldn't have what was in his head before he shot himself. Only thing that makes sense is that he knew a non mystical way around the wall, hence the need for Iron Fist once the architect died.
  4. I assume the Hand bought this office knowing that it was built on top of said dragon bones, they were likely slowly digging until Alexandra found out she was dying so they set off some sort of explosions to expedite the process. Architct likely figured out a way to get through that wall, found out what they were doing and decided not to. He killed himself to make sure they couldn't use him to get through the wall.
  5. Isn't that what Rhaegar just did? So next season we're going to have alot of reunions big ones ( Jon-Arya, Jon-Bran), small ones (Tyrion-Sansa) , dangerous ones (Jamie- Bran) and even brand new ones ( Tyrion- Arya, Arya finally finds her imp!) How much time do you guys think will be dedicated to these reunions in the first episode next year?
  6. This last episode saved it from being the shit show it could'v been. I stil l think that the Defenders deserved a better story but it worked for now. Highlights included the sister of the dragons taking on Coleen's old mentor, complete with Misty getting a bionic arm in the near future, Jessica Jones finally getting to use her abilities and madame gao. Let's be real electra and Madam Gao are probably not dead either. Major setback for the Hand, but I don't think they're done. Poor Luke and Matt both caught between two women. If the comic books are any indication, Danny Rand will be as well in the near future.
  7. Ok the fight framing sucks its too dark to see whats happening most of the time. But yea, Danny is an idiot and Colleen is doing the lords work by babysitting him. This feels like a dd and Iron fist story more than anything. Hell, Jessica's not even using her abilities. Not much else to say at this point. It feels like the show is just going through the motions at the moment.
  8. Meh I hate that they marvel once again used the best actor in the series for a surprise death and in the most cliche way possible. I hate that we wasted our time following Alexandra since we'll never know her story. Other than that plenty of action and interactions to keep the story moving. I'll wearily watch the final 2 and hope for a miracle.
  9. I get that, but that particular ploy shouldn't have worked
  10. This was probably my favorite episode so far. Sowande playing the hannibal lector character was lol pity he didn't last a whole episode. Still waiting for the Hand to get a real victory, because as of now, they're not a real threat. Looks like Alexandra is on her way out. The electra plot still does nothing for me.
  11. No he didn't, he killed Tywin for a number of reasons, Shae may have been the last straw, but remember, he was going to see Tywin before he even knew about Shae.
  12. We waited three years for this and I have to say I'm a bit disappointed. I'm going to go ahead and be controversial but Luke Cage needs a better actor. He has the most connections and his scenes fall flat. Interesting that they finally get someone who can stand up to him without the stupid suit though. Alexander is coming off alot like most of the netflix villains. She talks alot but isn't ever really successful. Electra needs a bad ass scene to establish that she's someone to be reckoned with because right now, eh?
  13. Finally, this is what I've been waiting for. Sigourney Weaver is having a blast playing Alexandra and I'm having fun along with her. Interested in seeing what that goo was. And of course we have a hallway fight scene. The acting is nothing to write home about, the fight scenes are laughably bad in some cases but now Im actually enjoying this. Looking forward to seeing what the rest of this series is like. Also hoping for some more side character interactions.
  14. So things are picking up somewhat. Maybe I'm just being impatient but omg get to the point already. You only have eight episodes. Only thing of interest is the way they're using side characters to connect the superheroes and sticks having a past with Alexandra, other than that, still slow just not as much. I'll give one more episode a chance, after that, if nothing happens, I'll move on. Also A villain liking classical music? Could they be anymore cliche?
  15. I get that we needed an introduction episode but this was boring a hell. It feels like this episode could easily be removed. A bit intrigued by Sigourney Weaver's character and her relation to the hand and the last minute earthquake was mildly interesting but other than that, this episode was a snoozefest. Hope the other seven make up for it.
  16. Yeah that was a little weird for me. It seemed really out of place for Tyrion to start going into a self pitying monologue about being a dwarf and his daddy issues. JMO. I understand his need to defend himself to Jaime, cause he was absolutely correct in the fact that Tywin was gonna execute him...it just seemed like he didn't need to start going down a self pitying road. It would have been enough to say " he knew I was innocent and was gonna execute me, I acted in anger etc etc but we have more important things right now". I don't know it just seemed OOC It makes sense if you think about Tyrion. He's the one character who's used to always having his shield up so when he's around the one person in his life who's loved him unconditionally and who know hates him, it makes him drop said shield and makes him really vulnerable. I completely understand why he'd fall apart in such a situation.
  17. And don't forget setting her up to be dangled out the Moon Door. Chaos is a ladder. Sansa was never in any real danger in either of those instances. Dontos owed his life to Sansa, he wasn't going to fuck it up. If there was any danger of that plan failing, Littlefinger wouldn't have been waiting in the harbor. Littlefinger was right there watching Lysa and attacked before it got too far. Same for Sansa here in Winterfell here she's protected. True Arya has morphing powers, but Littlefinger doesn't know that.
  18. Her inability to kill random people as a faceless man, her refusal to let the Frey woman die at the frey massacre are a couple of examples.
  19. Last two seasons notwithstanding, Littlefinger's not going to purposely put Sansa in danger. He's merely trying to isolate her. Besides, this show has gone out of its way to show us that arya has a conscience, so I doubt that she'd get violent with her sister.
  20. Yea, I believe tyrion already knew pycelle was the mole. Tyrion tested the other two because he wanted to start working with them. In other words tyrion wanted to make sure that Dorne was the only place she heard about.
  21. Tyrion has no problems killing people. Hell, he was arguing for Dany in his talks with Varys. His problem lays with doing it when it's not necessary / not politically smart to do so.
  22. Not even close to a good analogy. Rob straight disrespected somebody who provided a service to him and tried to fix it by giving him things of lesser value. So yea h Robb takes alot of the blame for the future events that transpired All those deaths at the red wedding are on his head. He knew the stakes when he did what he did. He failed his people by leading them to slaughter. It's a constant theme with the starks. It's not victim blaming when the only victims in these scenarios are all the Stark followers who got killed following their idiotic failed leaders.
  23. You're right, she doesn't need them and truth be told, she'd probably be a kick ass ruler of WInterfell, however, I don't imagine that Sansa spent so much time learning the game from so many great minds just to have her wind back up at Winterfell. It feels like this would be a waste of her storyline if this is where she winds up since none of the skills that she picked up are currently helping her out at winterfell. Admittedly the North sucks , but the North is gruff. It needs a leader who's more assertive, I'd say that Sansa's a diplomat that can competently run the North, but who ultimately can't command the respect of a Jon or Arya or even a Brienne because she's not a fighter and never will be one. True but Lyanna's training, Sansa ain't. Which has been my prediction all along so it works for me.
  24. Tyrion did more then unchain them, he was even petting Rhaegal while telling his story of wanting a dragon. As a matter of fact according to Tyrion in that very same episode, Dragons are friendly to anybody that's Dany's friends. Tyrion Dany and Jon are the only people who've had the balls to touch them.
  25. Yes he is. It's pretty much what the Winterfell storyline is building to.
