  1. Never mind. :D (It kind of lost its punch when my computer popped up a missing post).
  2. The thing with the discount is that they already got in for free due to an obvious quid pro quo situation (filming behind the ticket taker is a dead giveaway). Gil just wanted to show what he *could* do. He tried to work about three discount plans in there, when most places will only honor one, otherwise they wouldn't turn a profit.
  3. Yeah, that conversation about cervix softening was NOT G-rated stuff meant for family viewing! I wonder how the leghumpers explained THAT to their kids? Kids who are crawling all over social media defending these people. e.g.: I saw an IG post of Ben and Jessa at Chick-Fil-A yesterday posted by an 11 year old! Scary stuff, especially given that these parents are supposedly over-protective Christians. I didn't post that here because I really felt it was invading what little privacy she has left (some clown posted it at FJ...not cool!).
  4. "Good things may be happening," but despite that (what she thinks the sickness means), she still miscarried Jubilee. All it really means is that you inherited the likelihood to get sick. I also had some sickness and a lot of nausea with two pregnancies that self-terminated at 12 weeks. Everyone is different.
  5. GEML, you missed my point. Not everyone who gives birth to a healthy baby has a pregnancy riddled with morning sickness. What I AM saying is that the fundies believe that sickness is a rite of passage of pregnancy to deliver a healthy baby. They don't know (or ignore) that the opposite can also be true.
  6. I believe Michelle said that her family wasn't really religious. It's sad that she got "scared" into religion, much like Ben and Jessa are trying to do now. As for Gothard, the Duggars are keynote speakers at 3 of the 4 ATI "Family" conferences this spring and summer. Their images are all over the IBLP website (this is of Friday night when I was poking around the conference pages). They may be *saying* one thing to keep the critics off their backs, but they're *doing* something totally opposite. When they didn't back out of their speaking engagements last year after the Gothard scandal broke around Valentine's Day, I knew it was SSDD for them. The girls were quizzed about Gothard during the March book tour. This is when Boob stepped in to give the party line about "not [following] a man." Sorry, but actions speak louder than the crap that spews forth from Duggar mouths on a daily basis.
  7. Actually, they are PROUD of their morning sickness. They believe that means a healthy pregnancy. Jill, Anna, and Mechelle have ALL mentioned this. So no, not embarrassed at all. I bit there's also a bit of the martyr complex built in there as well. They don't realize that some women have absolutely NO sickness and have normal pregnancies and healthy babies. Jill had plenty of pictures of her driving to and from work/lunches during her first trimester (trust me, it got tiresome). I don't doubt she was sick, just not as badly as she wants you to think. eta: The more likely reason Jill wasn't at Jessa's engagement was due to the travel during the work week. The engagement happened on a Wednesday or Thursday, so Derick would have had to work; we know that Jill is a Stage 11 clinger. No way she would have even gone alone to Eureka Springs at that point for a day trip.
  8. It's a shame that someone beat me to the explanation because I actually used the word "unclean." Gotta love OT law. Laws that they're not supposed to follow!
  9. Sorry for the blank box. I am editing and can't get rid of it (question was answered). They didn't have these headshots at the event in Savannah last week. Someone said they were provided by the radio station that promoted them at this stop and that they just used the promo shot. I didn't care enough to look up how she was promoted at this site, so it may not be accurate information, but it does make sense.
  10. Here's the headshot. Let's now also analyze their handwriting! LOL https://instagram.com/p/0O42PBrctB/
  11. SXSW = South by Southwest, Austin's annual alternative music and food festival. It started with good intentions, but has become increasingly commercialized. The locals have grown to pretty much hate that week.
  12. Her wedding episode airs on the 24th (Rick James' due date). I bet the announcement comes out either that Monday (23rd) or announced by People early on the 24th at the latest, regardless of the status of Rick James.
  13. Saw pics of Benessa at today's stop on the Southern Women's Show tour in Memphis. In addition to the usual Duggar tract photo, she also had a stack of HEADSHOTS in front of her to sign. Not even her and Ben. Just her. REALLY JESSA???
  14. Say nothing about the way Jilly Muffin seductively licked DerickDullard's fingers during the cake ceremony. That was pretty racy for anyone, let alone a virginal Duggar girl!
  15. I'm going with "pun." It works on both levels. As for despising the adults, I've been on that train since I saw the very first special, although I must admit I didn't see it in 2004 (thank goodness!).
  16. "Hubris" FTW.
  17. They're staying at someone's ranch, from the looks of it. Jessa and Ben have vamoosed; she's appearing at another of those Southern Women's Shows tomorrow in Memphis. Promo interview by a Memphis radio station today. Jessa is interestingly evasive about the pregnancy question, first giggling, then deflecting to the adoption bullshit.
  18. So sad that they'll never see that awesome Christmas movie!
  19. Yeah, I can totally see them disregarding any real "safety" issues regarding treatment of BB guns vs. "regular" guns. I say this because they are so damn cavalier about pretty much everything.
  20. I just saw a quote from Jessa from an article either right before or after the wedding in which she said they would do "nothing to prevent" pregnancy. I have no reason to doubt this; it's the mindset girls are raised with in that culture.
  21. My friend is very gun savvy; she grew up in gun culture, is pro-gun, but with common sense regulations, like those that would affect THIS CASE. I trust her call on this.
  22. Jessa SAID the cat was fine. We have no tangible evidence of that, other than her word. Also, how "fine" is a cat that is left to fend for itself in the fucking SNOW? It's not as if the Duggars are acutally taking care of it.
  23. My friend's article made Buzzfeed! http://www.buzzfeed.com/todaystomsawyer79/19-kids-and-no-gun-safety-1egu5 Tweet and otherwise share around to spread the word!
  24. MHO, but I just find Derick's apparel choice odd, especially given that he was surrounded entirely by Duggars. I could see it at one of the baby showers, but out in the middle of nowhere just chillaxin'? Not so much. Of course, Derick has every right to wear what he wants. Now that he's a public figure who consents to have his image splashed all over the internet, I reserve the right to call him a doofus. :D
  25. The LAST thing I think about when I see/hear Boob, Mechelle, Smuggar (he earned that moniker), Jessa, and even Jill pontificate on just about anything is humility. IMO, the only truly humble Duggar is Jana.
