I have heard her say 'crisises' at least 5 times in the last few weeks, and yet NO ONE in her life corrects her! So ignorant.

As far as Elizabeth Warren and others whose DNA doesn't come out as expected-- I wonder if what happens is that someone along the line IS 1/4 whatever, and tells her kids that they are 1/4, who tells their kids that they're 1/4, for multiple generations. So while it may be completely true that GGGrandma is 1/4 whatever, the child would be 1/8, the grandchild 1/16, etc....so doesn't take too long to be very watered down (so to speak). So the family history might be accurate, but the 'math' isn't. I was told my whole life I'm 100 percent Irish, yet DNA results show only 98 percent. 😉

I didn't see the show yet, so just going by your post, but "homogeneous" is pronounced with the emphasis on the homo part (HO-MO-gee-nee-us) .....I'm wondering if you might be mixing it up with the word "homogenous" (minus the second 'e'), where the emphasis is on the second syllable (huh-MOJ-a-nus)?

I notice she took ‘Mrs Domenech’ out of her twitter profile....a clue?

The Quds Force is a declared terrorist organization by the US government. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quds_Force#Designation_as_a_terrorist_organization I was going to point that out, too. And just today, Iran designated the US Military and Pentagon terrorist organizations....this is getting scary!

I thought this was a slight towards MM at first, too, but then realized she was talking specifically about running for governor, which both Clinton’s and Huntsman’s dads had been, versus just running for office. But the camera did show MM’s face, and I think she took it as a slight, and that’s what really counts.😀

Stupid Meghan quote (speaking with Kavanaugh authors): “I just want to know blankly, can you understand why so many people think this was a hatchet job?” Um, the word is ‘frankly’!

When the show opened with them already sitting at the table to announce Cokie Roberts’ death, I was expecting to hear Barbara Walters’ name! Many of the same sentiments were used (trailblazer, etc), before actually naming Cokie.

Not sure if you’re kidding, since illiterate certainly fits, too, but alliterate, as in first and last name start with same first letter. And the clue says not Wendy Williams, leaving Meghan McCain as a likely choice...

I was so happy to hear someone on TV (my beloved Joy!) finally acknowledge Trump’s constant use of the incorrect phrase ‘feel badly’ vs ‘feel bad’. It is such a pet peeve of mine! He’s such a genius! Worse, I’ve heard journalists and lawyers on TV repeat his incorrect phrase while discussing whatever he felt BAD about; surely, they know better? I told my kids you ‘feel badly’ if something happened to your fingertips that affects your sense of touch! 😀

I also dislike Dave Letterman's beard. Just awful, and makes him look 95. I know that's currently in style for young guys, with short hair, but long beard, but it's especially bad with such a white beard. I bet kids get confused seeing this thin Santa Claus. I did enjoy his reaction to the Julian Assange comparison. It seemed like authentic amusement on his part. The way I took MM's reaction to his story is that she knew it would end up as a positive, in that JM did come back on and own up. But I agree the story was a little harsh before he got to the end. It was misleading, because he was smiling while relaying a less-than-flattering story, so she's smiling along, but didn't seem appropriate to smile with what he was saying.

This NYT Magazine article was such a kiss-up to Meghan. She had to have paid someone to gush over her, after this week's PR disasters. I googled the author's name (Amanda Fitzsimons), and lo and behold, there was a connection. She used to work for Elle magazine, and interviewed MM back in Oct of 2013. Hmm, coincidence? Meghan McCain Is Red, White, and Blunt One interesting tidbit was MM's response to being Pro-Life. She sounded reasonable: (Bolded text was the author's question/comment.) Yet you're also pro-life? I've been accused of being antifeminist for that reason. But the idea that you can't be a Republican and pro-life and still be a feminist is dangerous. I am pro-life, but I'm not for repealing Roe v. Wade. I don't want to tell other people what to do with their bodies. That actually sounds more pro-choice to me.

Wow, what a weird question MM asked Joe Biden: “Does death ever get easier?” It seems callous to ask this man, who has suffered several unimaginable family tragedies. What could he say, ‘yeah, next one should be a breeze.’

I so agree about her over-the-top public grief. I lost my dad when I was 29 (5 yrs younger than MM) of pancreatic cancer. He only had 9 weeks from diagnosis to death, so not a sudden death, like an accident or heart attack, but not much time to come to grips with a terminal illness. He was only 64, so nearly 20 years younger than JM, which made it even more sad--too young. And I was a newlywed, who just 6 months after having my dad walk me down the aisle, had to walk down that same aisle behind his casket! Yes, I cried many tears, felt it was unfair that my family was going through this again, (my 16 yr old sister was tragically killed in a car accident about 8 years earlier), yet I never burdened others with my grief. I was more worried about my mom, who suffered these two losses. It took me until I became a mom myself to realize that our loss wasn't the same; I lost a sister--she lost her baby; I lost my dad--she lost her husband and partner and best friend of 40 years. NOT the same!

It was telling when MM lost her shit and said, "I didn't think we were going to have a conversation about AR15s, but I'm happy to; I wanted to have a conversation about tolerance." I guess she doesn't have an "opinion" without her blue cards, so she was totally unprepared. She can't speak extemporaneously about any topic. First of all, how ironic that she can't eventolerate a change in discussions. And second of all, reading stats from your blue cards is hardly a conversation! And real conversations do tend to branch off onto other topics that come up organically. She's really terrible at this job, and so unpleasant to boot! At least Abby comes out smiling and seems to be bonding and friendly with the other ladies, like every other co-host in View history. Meghan acts like she's been abducted and forced to be on this show.

I binge-watched several shows today, so not sure what day it was, but did anyone else catch this gem? At one point this week, during a discussion about Stormy Daniels, MM said something to the effect that she doesn't judge SD for being paid to have sex. WHAT?? SD's not a prostitute--she's a porn star! Big difference! The money she was paid was 10 years later, and it was to keep quiet...

Your list will get shorter then, because Whoopi is producing a reality show about her family. ......sellout!!!

Haha, Sal is wearing the same shirt in both photos...

(This is from the "Whoopi on NBC's TODAY show" link above...Bold emphasis mine) Seems rather redundant--does the author not understand what the "T" in EGOT is??

I was pleasantly surprised with Sherri moderating. She was able to read the TelePrompTer smoothly, transition topics and show a little (okay a lot!) enthusiasm. All things Whoopi cannot do! And every cohost isn't The Fabulous or The Amazing so-and-so, ala Whoopi either. I really dislike Whoopi in this role. I'm certain she is only kept year after year because she can bring some stars on that wouldn't come on otherwise. She shows such disdain for the show and makes faces and doesn't prepare and makes it clear she's only there for the paycheck. She has come a little more alive since Barbara left, but she sure hasn't improved as moderator at all. I know she's supposed to retain that role when Rosie comes back, but that's a real shame. -
I just started watching my recorded version of the 20/20 interview of Peter Rodger, with Bug-Eyed Babs, and am annoyed already! Her opening sentences were "This is special; it's a milestone....the very first time that a parent of a mass murderer has ever spoken on television." Gah, she just LOVES to tout any 'firsts', however insignificant! I'm dating myself, but as she was talking, I couldn't help but think of the 1980's song by Don Henley called "Dirty Laundry"----Babs has a gleam in her eye!

If I were Whoopi, I would pack the pounds back on, because after Star and now Sherri, the kiss of death seems to be a) losing weight and b) getting married! (Think she's safe on the b part!)

Or it could be What's Poppin' with Ross Matthews and Mario Cantone! Eww, just realized how dirty that sounds, and I truly didn't mean it to!! Just meant that they are probably hiring men, and most likely, at least one gay man!
