A pretty weak episode for a fall finale. IMO. Once Voight told the team that the judge was once a cop, it was obvious that the judge killed the dealer to revenge the daughter. As far as Ruzek, are viewers expected to think that Voight is going to kill him? I didn't see a shovel in Olinsky's car.

The team lost its way on the situational morality front during the period that Antonio was away from the show. When Burgess was a beat cop, she was always driven by ethics when dealing with suspects and the victims. Ethics refers to rules provided by an external source (e.g. codes of conduct in the workplace). Morals refer to an individual's own principles regarding right and wrong. The writers have taken the show away from following set moral principles especially Voight.
-
Agree, but she looks at all law enforcement entities as being on the same team which is a mistake given how the writers have chosen to put so much emphasis this season on police corruption.
-
For Burgess to question the FBI meeting, it was an integrity issue for her and not so much naivete about the team. IMO. She did the right thing on her own when dealing with the boyfriend in order to get the killer which Olinsky acknowledged later to Voight.

Given that the late show runner (Gary Glasberg ) foretold the accident to Delilah which caused her paralysis and confinement to a wheel chair, the daily consequences from her pregnancy as a disabled future mother were ignored by the writers this season. The actual childbirth was presented as just some kind of afterthought by the new show runners. The medical aftermath of a difficult pregnancy were completely ignored during the actual birthing. Now that the twins are finally here, will life just move forward off screen? Disappointed as well that Delilah's family was completely left out of both namesake decisions.

The writers needed the arms dealer to have some gravitas in order to personally link the killing of the foreign agent to Sloane. When Sloane was cutting the pants leg, she could have easily stabbed him. Gibbs giving up his gun so quickly made no sense with Bishop in the same room. The disarming of the bomb was pretty reckless. The whole episode was pretty much 'Our Gang' comedy.

It is a little disheartening to think that the show creator, Barbara Hall, would go in that direction, but that might explain the discussion between Henry and the Dalton administration over the need for a change in hostage policy. Stevie could be become a target for exchange if she starts a relationship with Dmitri and the Russians discover that Dmitri is behind the leaks to US.

The only thing missing was a sanctimonious Whoopi Goldberg appearance giving Frank a verbal beat down.

A lot of hype at last season end including Sean Murray post season interviews over the marriage and the baby coming this season, but both the marriage life story and the pregnancy have been all off screen given only one Delilah scene after 8 episodes. The twins was a nice twist, but it presents as an easy way to also keep any baby storytelling off screen given a disabled mother with a full time job now caring for twins at home while unable to continue in her career job. The past crossover cases that included Delilah working with NCIS have been done well, but there presents no way to continue on that path unless working from home. Delilah has good chemistry working and interacting with the team including Gibbs. At some point, McGee must come to realize that his family comes before his job. The baby event now seems more as a teaser which is disappointing if this is the last season.

Your math is correct!!! Nov 21, 2017 "Ready or Not" "The team’s Thanksgiving plans are put on hold while they track an elusive international arms dealer in D.C. who recently murdered an MI6 officer who was Sloane’s close friend. Also, Abby races Delilah to the hospital when her labor starts three weeks early."

So true. My mom passed away with 3 young children under 12 at home. My dad was devastated and he never recovered from the loss. Along the way, Dad forgot that he still had us 3 kids to raise. Things got better when we got a little older and we learned how to support his loss. The writers putting forth the boys side of things in this idiotic way is just wrong. At this point, I only hang on with the show now in order to follow Erin and her daughter Nicky.

Ditto. Lena was looking for marriage to Pete, but he was just fooling her about it. Lena hesitated in helping Tom because she trusted Pete's intentions to married her, but I never thought that Pete killed the doctor. The writers never put forth anything that suggested Lena and Pete were related to each other

I don't give a fig that Aside from the baby, Delilah is a top defense intelligence analyst and well respected by Director Vance. She has good chemistry with Gibbs, Abby, Bishop and Reeves. The past crossover cases that included Delilah working with NCIS have been good COWs for the most part. At this point,, Delilah makes more sense as a show regular than Sloane. IMO.

If the mole is not one of Henry's team members, the writers can always fall back on the "Greater Good" standard which means someone in Dalton's cabinet or a DOD department head. Recall that CIA director Munsey in S1 was the bad guy working against the country without any real oversight.
-
After the winter hiatus, I expect that the series will be retitled - "NCIS:Profile". If it walks and talks, Sloane has a profile of them in that wooden file cabinet. After just 3 episodes, the profile theme has been overdone. Every murder case going forward will have a link to a serial killer in order that Sloane gets involved and she gets a chance to analyze the team members. The lawyer primary defense of the killer was that he was in the wrong place at the wrong time should have been a red flag to the team right away. The story needs a Delilah diversion to get back on track. She must be on complete bed rest for the whole pregnancy. Only one scene with Tim and Delilah, as yet, this season after 7 episodes. Disappointing.
-
The writers want viewers to think Dmitri is the mole, but it is more likely the other team member working for Henry. If Russia is working to flip that person, then Dmitri is at risk if the Russians find out he is now working with the CIA. The show has fallen back to replay past seasons CIA scenarios in which too many players get involved and it becomes hard to follow.

Matt is a speechwriter and wordsmith who can quickly put diplomatic spin to paper. Jay is a SoS policy wonk. Both difficult jobs with very different skill sets and the right personality to match.

Delilah not included so far in November sweeps period (Oct 26 - Nov 22), but show runner promised baby arrival in October. There must have been a firm decision to not cover much of her pregnancy while in a wheelchair given so much buildup at the end of last season.

It is adorable to now watch Samar hang so close to "bad ass" Aram in the lab while in front of the whole group after watching Samar last season in the same setting act so miserable towards him.
-
The wife came by the convalescent home periodically and she would take him out for a day or two on furlough. During each stay at home, he was sent out to do the killings after she activated the staged recordings. After his last failed killing mission that caused the amnesia and large medical bills, the wife went to their bank for financial help, but found out by accident about his personal accounts which then funded her actions for the next ten years while following the path that led to the travel business operation.
-
The wife was somewhat like Mr Kaplan acting out her revenge. When the morning wake up sequence was repeated the first time, I felt sure that she was involved in the murders. The husband was acting too robotic to be the person driving the killings.

Delilah still not included in November sweeps period (Oct 26 - Nov 22), but show runner promised baby arrival in October. There must have been a firm decision to not cover much of her pregnancy after all while in a wheelchair given so much buildup at the end of last season. ETA:

When Aram had to hunker down alongside a wall without a weapon at the end of the car chase as well as during the safe house shootout, it presented more on screen that his request to Cooper made sense for his own future safety and not so much about Samar. IMO.
-
There has been nothing put forth by the writers to suggest that Aram is obsessed with protecting Samar. She is a Mossad agent; A trained assassin. Samar was abducted and put in a vulnerable situation. It was natural for Aram to want to protect her as well as keeping himself out of danger. The 1950s references are irrelevant to the story and present more as worn out feminist talking points.
