I'm confused about why Dash and Killian keep getting reborn but unlike Ingrid and Freya, have different names each time? Are they from Asgard too? I'm thinking no though their mom was originally (well, last lifetime ago or whatever) Athena so maybe they are from Olympus lol Seriously, this shit makes no sense, but I have to admit, I kind of love it. Not so much this ep because all things Freya and Killian bore me to tears but the other stuff was good.

I never really saw Hanna as an alcoholic, as in, she has an addiction to booze, so I buy that she could just stop. She was just using it to ignore what was going on like she then used that two second interest in theatre. I have never been so bored by a tragic backstory as I was listening to Ali tell her tale. I just don't care about her at all anymore. It's interesting because I was fascinated by her in early seasons but now that she's alive and back I just find her tedious. I'd rather watch Mona or Jenna or even Melissa being all manipulative and evil. Speaking of Melissa, the second I saw her making that video I uttered "They're killing her off!" followed by a loud, angry NOOOOOOO!!!!! (I hope I am proven wrong, but I just don't see the show letting her actually say anything of any worth so she's dead. Loved Mona and Hanna on the stake out. Love Spencer. Love that there was no Toby, which I didn't even notice until I just wrote it now. Laughed at Ezra, as usual, him getting yelled at by Aria always cracks me up because she is the youngest looking of them all so it looks like he's getting berated by a child. LOL Skipped the sad Aria's mom stuff because....though I love HMC, I just don't care about Ella's broken heart. I just don't get why it's getting attention.

Yeah the Paul actor was weird in that, but OMG I just fell in love with Christian. What a fun, cool, adorable guy! I LOVED his reaction to Donny killing Leekie because that would totally be my reaction. Most interesting thing about that panel...staring at Tatianna and not really seeing her as any one of the clones. I was looking and looking and I'm like, she doesn't really remind me of Helena, or Sarah, or Rachel or even Cosima which just goes to show how truly amazing she is as an actress. She's far too good for an Emmy really, because that shit is just the cool kids crowning their BFF as Prom Queen. It has nothing to do with talent. She should, however, get a Screen Actors Guild award, which is given by her peers who, unlike the Emmy voters, can respect what she does. (I say this as someone who actually voted for the Emmy's once. And yes, I picked my favorite shows and favorite actors rather than sifting through the many tapes and judging accurately on performance alone. It's kind of human nature. I was an assistant of someone who didn't want to bother voting and gave me the chance to vote for her. It was kind of awesome to get to do that, but it also made me see what a joke the Emmy's actually are). She is phenomenal and honestly, I bet this Emmy snub is getting her more attention that if she'd been nominated. I doubt a lot of industry people watch or know much about Orphan Black so if she'd been nominated they'd be all "who's that" in a dismissive, she stole my favorite's spot kind of way, but now, with even nominees saying she was snubbed, they are more "who's that" in an intrigued way.
-
This did seem like a really easy case to crack. IDK why first ex husband was a suspect since he got the kids, she gave them to him, and they seemed to have an okay relationship. I wouldn't have been surprised if his girlfriend was involved but once they focused on the second ex-husband, there is no doubt in my mind he was guilty and as a juror I would have no problem finding him guilty based on the case they have. It is fascinating to me how people are more likely to talk after all this time, and actually remember things. When Kelly was all "I remember the last time I talked to my mother and we didn't do anything wrong" I tried to think about the last time I talked to my mom and I had to think about it. It was only this week, but still. lol I was really confused by the timeline though. I kept wondering, was the door left open for a day, day and a half and no one noticed?

I think they are trying to do the slow build with Carter realizing Lori isn't all that, first with Max talking about Lori and Carter being all "who?" for a moment, then feeling guilty about it. That shows that Carter is actually forcing herself to not move on from Lori, which was interesting to me. And then this past ep when she did not seem at all into the stupid, trite, forced "love you more" crap they used to do. Which, seriously, when something like that becomes that routine it looses all meaning anyway. I would not expect Carter to be on board the "Lori is bad" train after a few weeks, even months. I think that kind of de-programming, which is what it is, would take years. She's been this woman's daughter for over 2/3 of her life. You don't just move on quickly from that. Hell, children who have been beaten will still defend their parent and in Carter's mind Lori is her parent and never mistreated her. And this mean "real mother" of hers is all "rules rules, I care about your safety" blah blah which, for a kid who seems to have just done whatever the hell she pleased whenever the hell she pleased, must seem like torture. But when Carter finally does come around, I won't see it as coming from no where. I've seen the very small building blocks in the past two eps, which is good for me because I don't think I could tolerate Carter much longer if she wasn't slowly starting to change her opinions on everyone involved.

I completely, and depressingly, agree with this. PR was my favorite reality show when it first came on because OMG talented people getting a chance to show the world what they can do. How wonderful is that. Plus, some crazy, creative clothes. Win/win. But year after year it became more and more about drama, about pushing them too far to make anything good. I don't want to see some halfassed dress slapped together in ten minutes out of gum and toilet paper. I want to see what these designers are really capable of. I want them to be given unconventional materials and told...you've got enough of time to come up with something amazing. Wow us! That's it. That is the challenge. To stretch your own imagination, use crazy materials to come up with a design that reflects your personal vision and style, not someone else's and not what crappy thing can you make with too little time. I would like to know if Amanda could have come up with something better had she been given more time and less restriction because she basically came up with nothing. I'd like to see what Sandhya would have done if she didn't have two other people trying to reign her in. I'd love to see what Fade could do with no other restriction than using unconventional materials because right now, he is the designer who's work I am most excited in seeing. I think he's got a good combination of unusual and wearable so far. In short, I want to see what these talented people are truly capable of when they aren't jumping through all these stupid hoops. Show us actual design show, that's what most of us fell in love with in the first place. This challenge disappointed me because I so look forward to the UMC and they went and muddied it up with teams and not enough time. Boo
-
I agree with the above. UMC should NEVER be teams. I love the UMC because I love to see what crazy shit these designers can do. I don't hate team challenges because it really shows who these designers are, who can work with others, who can't, who is a dictator, who is creative enough to work within someone else's vision. But I do not like it when the two combine. They've got enough episodes that they can spread the crazy. Amanda is hilarious with her "insider intel." Like, really? I know Kate did it too, but I feel like Kate's was a bit less...obvious. Amanda was basically giving them the deep insight that it's best to put toothpaste on your toothbrush when you brush your teeth. Of course I never cared for her so I'm biased. Don't hate her, just find her non-descript in every conceivable way. Angela is not the first person in a team to have been told "your team would have won if you didn't suck so much," so, just because she's a delicate flower doesn't make me think she was being singled out any more than anyone before her. Given that she's graduated college and held a job I feel like half of her timid schtick is just that, made up for the cameras. She didn't have any problem steamrolling her opinion over her teammates so she is not the delicate flower she is pretending to be. Over her. Wasn't wowed by any of the actual designs. Some were okay. The winning team was not the best. The winning look was one of the worst in that there was no actual design or creativity to it. It was a bunch of shit tacked onto a slip. I don't get it. What was the judges reason for selecting it as the best? I missed the ending.

I think someone like Deidre would have the respect for Stahma to want to really study her ways and would put in the work, and deal with the initial dismay And I think someone like Deidre wouldn't be content to be second fiddle to Stahma, would learn all she could and then go after the bigger fish, whether that means sleeping her way up to Datak or convincing Alak to overthrow his parents, letting Deidre into the family is not going to end well for the Tarrs. And I think someone like Datak, who did work his way up would understand that. He would see himself and Deidre and know that HE would not be content until he was #1 so she probably won't either. Painting her to be a poor little orphan just looking for a family doesn't ring true to me. If she just wanted a family she could go after an unmarried target. She wants to be a Tarr very specifically which means she's after power and money and will do anything to get it. I wouldn't trust her half as much as some silly human who just wants to fit in.

The "she slept with the father too" bit was interesting. Did that girl just make that up? If so why? if not, where did a rumor like that get started? Did the dad try to do something with the victim? It was very interesting, seeing something so unfounded, in a real life case, as opposed to at TV crime story where that's the big ah ha moment that sends the case in a different direction. In real life, though, sometimes a rumor is just a rumor that leads no where but muddies up the works. I forgot about the diary and I'm surprised they didn't bring that up when they heard the dad rumor. They probably didn't because they are, after all, making a television show and a twist like that is entertaining I guess. -
I just assume Christie is more liked because she's Rafe's daughter, she grew up in town, she's "one of them" whereas Deidre is an outside, no family, so only those who have used her services probably even know who she is. I could be wrong. It's happened before. lol What is Deidre? I've been assuming she's human, which is why I don't see why Stamha would choose her over Christie if they both were pregnant. But if she's got Casti blood or something, then it would make sense she would be okay with Alak changing wives. Otherwise, do we know what Casti ideas on divorce are? Or would they just kill Christie for no apparent reason other than...well, what, because Alak is bored with her? Like, what would they gain from getting rid of Christie and taking in Deidre?
-
I think the flaw in Deirdre's plan is that Casti men are allowed/expected to have mistresses. So how is screwing Alak going to make her the next Mrs. Alak? He's got a more "respectable" wife in Christie, someone the town seems more fond of than some little whore DJ. It would be way easier to keep Christy in line by using the baby as leverage. "Christie, if you don't act like the perfect little Casti wife, I will make sure you never see your child again!" If Stamha said something like that to me, I'd believe her. If Stamha said that to Deirdre, she'd probably just shrug and go screw Alak into submission. Stamha, IMO would much rather deal with easily manipulated Christie than the dangerous and ambitious Deirdre, at least at this moment. The Casti dress up bar stuff is fascinating me. I kind of wish Alak had shattered everybody's expectations by finding Casti Christie kind of sexy or getting what she was doing. Instead the story took the most predictable route possible. Whatever. I still like Christie's side of the story if finding him increasingly boring.

That was my thought too. There is just enough reasonable doubt unless they can rule out Lee's father. It doesn't matter that he wasn't the baby's father, he is still the grandfather and was still VERY vocal about not wanting that baby to be Lee's. I do think that Lee did it, but with the evidence they have, I couldn't say I am certain enough to send him to prison for it. I am kind of surprised Kelly would have prosecuted this case with what they have right now. -
Hey, if they want to go the incest route, I wouldn't say no to a little Wendy Freddie action. Those two had some serious chemistry for me in all their scenes so far. TV corrupts, cable TV corrupts absolutely.
-
Not an option I ever imagined we'd be considering but yeah. If Freddie's going for one of his sisters it's the twin. Ingrid is clearly being set on Dash for now. Oddly, I kind of like them together. I still don't like Wendy's guy, Tommy (or perhaps I should call him Tammy lol) that typo in the ep description was driving me nuts. I was wracking my brain trying to figure out who the hell Tammy was. IDK if I'm on the tentacle Freddy train just yet. But then I don't know who else it would be. Unless it's just some random creature from Asgard that came through the portal with Freddie.

In a world where a fanfiction about a badly written vampire teen romance gets not only published but is made into a series and now has a freaking movie deal can be published than surely a spoiled little rich boy can log onto amazon and self publish his little vanity piece. But of course, my impression of Ezra Fitz is that he loves the romance of the tortured writer much more than he wants to actually be a writer. It's not like he doesn't have a small fortune to fall back on when he finally gets board with his expensively decorated to look haphazard and shabby chic studio. He's just a little poser, which makes him perfect for equally un-artsy "artsy" Aria. As much as I hate them as a couple I am starting to realize that they are really perfect for each other, which doesn't say much about either of them . lol
-
30? Is that what he's going with? I like him so far but if he's 30 he must have lived a hell of a hard life.
-
I would buy Fade's dress in a heartbeat and I can't wait to see what he does next. He's one of the few I'm actually excited to see what they do and hope he makes it. He might be my favorite at the moment. I hate Korina already but I actually liked her look, that long flowy red jumpsuit had visual impact. And Kini's dress would be my top three. My bottom three would be Emily's breastplate dress, Hernan's (who? Wouldn't even know who he was if I wasn't looking at Rate the Runway right now) uninspired dress (the one made out of the same as Sandhya's but with less interesting detail and Jefferson's loosing look, and as much as I liked Jefferson, he'd probably be my choice to go. So the judges got something right. LOL
-
What I am getting from the show is that Ezra only hangs around teenage girls. He knows no one older than 18 and that is exactly how he likes it. At least he had the decency to look a little sheepish when Spencer basically called him out on being a bigger spying perv than she'd ever imagined. lol Yes, Ezra, it is creepy to have your victim help you move all the illegally obtained dirt you have on her and her friends. In what world do you think this is remotely normal, healthy behavior.
-
it is sad that you have a better shot at guessing the winner based on personality than on design skill. I see Korina going very far in this completion. She's a heinous bitch. And that idiotic shorts guy who kept latching onto her like a bitch seeking missile. He won't go as far, but there's no way TIIC will let him go until Korina has someone else to bitch-gossip with. And yes, this show has rewarded some pretty unappealing personalities. Honestly, there are probably more winners of this show that I hate than that I like.

Wow, Tim is pretty freaking full of himself, and an ass. What did Nick ever do to him? And wow, poor Natalia, who is a far better person than any of the rest of them in those clips. Granted, I didn't watch the full show, but there was enough in those clips to get the gist. Tim wanted anyone else to win but Nick, Tim jumped on the Natalia hate bandwagon, and I'm sorry but I don't care how slow she was, or how unfinished her garments might have been, that girl shows an integrity that the rest of them deeply lack. My Tim love had been going down for quite some time. Probably around the time All-Star began and I saw Joanna Coles, whom I preferred to him right away and more so each season. I never thought I'd say this but I wouldn't miss Tim Gunn if he left the show.
-
I don't object to the Red Robin thing at all. I just think it's hilarious. I could see that as one of the challenges, but as a prize it is...odd. You're not redoing their uniforms but yay, you get to make them some random accessory. Woo hoo! I'd rather the Lexus. lol Yes, Kini, thank you. It will take a few eps for me to remember even the names of the ones I like. I'm bad with names. I did love that dress, though, and yes, that means it is clearly not high fashion since I usually hate the judges favorite "high fashion' choices. I clearly have ready to wear taste. That's why I liked Char's skirt (remember her because I think of char broiled. lol) because I'd wear that with a more wearable top. I just don't find flowy sleeves wearable at all, or a crop that looks like it will flip up if someone exhales too quickly.
-
For real? That's actually a prize? LMAO okay then, this show really has sold it's soul. Re: the fashions. Not much really wowed me. I'd wear Nini's (the Hawaiian dude?) dress because it was pretty and wearable. I hate crop tops so both Char and Amanda's tops ruined pretty good bottoms for me. Though it bugged me that Amanda's pants were triangle shapes and not diamonds. It's like when a cheap knock off company knocks off designer clothes and don't bother to follow the design all the way to the back. IDK didn't work for me. I LOVED German guys dress. That was my favorite. Hmm, least favorite, yeah, the judges got it right for me. Jefferson's proportions were just sooo wrong. Top could have been cute but too short. But at least, unlike Char's, one good breeze wasn't going to be showing off the girls. And those shorts would have been better as 40s style trousers. I still can't wrap my head around the fact that Tim thinks pubes grown on a woman's hip. I know he's a gay man so possibly not all that familiar with the female body but last I checked, I didn't have to trim anything to expose my hip bone. (I am glad I didn't watch Under the Gunn based on what some of you are saying.) I am not looking forward to the bullying. I can see it already which means I won't be watching this live so I can FF over pretty much everything Shorty McShort Shorts and Irina 2.0 have to say.

S02.E14: Justice Served (Updates on the Cases)
Mabinogia replied to maraleia's topic in Cold Justice [V]
The most disturbing part of the ep was Kelly's disappointment at them not hitting that poor deer. I loved the updates, and did a whole lot of crying, I will admit, but I really loved the outtakes. The whole team have such a great rapport together. They do seem like they've been working together for ages. -
Actually, if he did think she had something to do with Connor's death, it would justify, at least in his mind, the things he is doing to her. He could hand wave the spying, invading her privacy and worse, enabling her drug habit if he thinks he is doing this to the person who caused Connor's death. That could be an interesting plot if they go there. If not, he's a bastard for doing this to an innocent person. Of course, he could also be justifying it through jealousy since this is the woman who won Connor's heart. I do agree, that this episode has made Pottinger a whole lot more interesting.

That's how I saw the drawing. It looked like Mrs. D gardening with a monster coming up to attack her.
