One of the sites I saw that had additional pics said they were coming from a kids birthday party. So I'm glad she had enough sense that not only high heeled strappy sandals wouldn't have been very functional at a party with a bunch of kids but that she was thinking about comfort.

I too cringe when I see these people using "canned" dough. I guess I can understand it when there is a time limit but I normally expect more from anyone with cooking skills and what Jay did this week with the biscuits was more amateurish than anything. Puffed pastry dough from scratch is extremely time consuming though. I wouldnt say its hard, but its definitely time consuming and I've heard even pretty well respected chefs say "if you are pressed for time it cant hurt to use frozen puffed pastry dough" so for a cooking competition with time constraints I wouldnt expect that to be made from scratch. Count me in as having a kid who loves hummus. My 13 year old daughter ended up loving it a couple of years ago when I bought it and when she saw it on the counter and said it looked gross. I told her to try it, that she might be surprised. So she stuck a breadstick it and was hooked ever since..till this day she still asks for it and is into some of the different flavors now too.

I'm going by what Beyonce posts herself on instagram and her blog (she posts most often on her blog). The pics of Blue with her hair loose still causes jokes and memes. But the last 2 or 3 months based on what Bey has posted her hair is pulled back including Tina Knowles wedding where she has TWO buns, one left and one right. If Kim did that to North I can't even imagine how harsh the comments would be.

Heh the ironic thing is the same tight bun is pretty much how Beyonce always styles Blue Ivy's hair. Eh, I'm not convinced at this point Kim lets nannies do every single thing when it comes to North. I know its believed she's this awful mother who cant stand being around her kid but where is the proof she's always ignoring her? She doesnt seem to be doing a lot right now that shows her never home or flying some place every week. When North was just born (and newborn babies can cry all night and need to be changed constantly) and Kim was jetsetting all over she might have been too busy to do everyday maternal things but if she has the time to go watch her play soccer and take her to dance classes I think she could handle doing her childs hair. When my daughter was North's age and got past her colicky stage that was actually when I really started enjoying time with her and actually started valuing motherhood..just based on the things she posts on instagram of North I dont find it so hard to believe maybe Kim is too.

Oh and I'm sure the exposure helped him a lot. Last year he must have been so hard up for money that he had to resort to crowdfunding to raise money to add an insulation area to the outdoor part of the restaurant. He got the money through many donations (including a very large one from Alton) but its kind of funny he may have very well had the money if he played nice with FN.

cooksdelight is exactly right. Justin thought he could control things and wanted things his way; a very foolish attitude for someone who was nowhere near established on the network. Justin himself said very early on there were "budget issues" and why his show was stalling. The show he wanted was way over the budget they give their FNS winners starting out. Maybe if he actually played by the rules things would have turned out differently. The debut shows for winners dont get an 8am Saturday timeslot..reruns are shown in that hour. Most of the time the series will start off with an 11am Sunday timeslot..a time that actually gets very good ratings.

People like Ricky and Clay will always get a pass while anyone even remotely connected to the Kardashians will always have different expectations on them and have their motives questioned. It really is damned if you do, damned if you dont. When she does "girly" things or anything fun she's called shallow and vapid and doesnt take the trans-gender issue seriously but when serious issues are brought up its only being done to make her look better and she's exploitative.

I have no ides what Caitlyn's motives were/are but the Kyler tragedy is very much real and I found the story itself sad. A woman talking about how her child committed suicide I found extremely sad. I would find it very hard to believe Caitlyn wasnt moved by what she was listening to.

I wasnt sure if there was going to be a separate thread so I held off on commenting..but well i loved it. I was fascinated watching the whole show and I thought it was very well done. The part where Caitlyn is talking to Kyler Prescott's mother made me tear up. Next week looks even more interesting based on the preview where it looks like the reaction to the Vanity Fair article will be focused on and how upset Khloe was.

I take what Radar Online says with a grain of salt but they had a story a couple of days ago that she's planning a nude shoot and that a couple of publications are fighting over who gets the first go at it. Kim may be considered a joke by many but she has 33 million Twitter followers. Why wouldnt the Twitter bigwigs actually pay attention to someone with that much of a following there as opposed to their regular users? Of course a celebrity will have more clout with that sort of things, its why celebrities are paid a lot of money for endorsement deals.

I watched a clip earlier from I Am Caitlyn and its Kylie meeting her for the first time. The article said the first time she saw her father as Caitlyn was the Vanity Fair cover and this was their first actual meeting. Esther was there as well and what I found really odd was this part where Esther gives her a photo from when she was Kylie's age and they all remark at how similar they look. Caitlyn says "your grandmother was 17 and actually married then" and Kylie giggles and says "kind of like me". Caitlyn jumps at her and says "I better not hear that". There was humor there but God. If she's actually thinking like that. I can only hope if she does start talking marriage *someone* gives her the right guidance.

I dont particularly think much of Kylie and I can make a list of reasons why BUT when it comes to how well she's dealing with the whole transitioning thing, I'm giving her a pass. I feel that way about all of Caitlyn's children regardless of how old they are because I'm trying to put myself in their shoes and how I might handle my father suddenly becoming someone else. There were some reports after the ESPY's that she's still not fully dealing with this and I believe it. The fact that she chose to spend fathers day with her boyfriend instead IMO speaks volumes.

Im pretty sure Jeff's first season was done in NY with a standard set..then by the 2nd season he was allowed to use his own kitchen in his Chicago home. I know I remember thinking it was a major upgrade. IIRC his kitchen was even nicer than his 1st set. One reason why Jeff was allowed to do that may have been because part of the show premise was him visiting different Chicago eateries then recreating some of their dishes.
