While they were having the Big Argument, I realized that Kevin wasn't talking - and he is always talking, no matter who else is talking. He doesn't shy away from arguments, he encourages them! I wonder what rendered him speechless for a few minutes.
I think Mark and Robert were doing enough talking for everyone and they were angry while Kevin was just annoyed it seemed.

I'd rather have Tristan than boring Tony, but that's just me (and I know it's never gonna happen). I also can't stand Redfool from that guest judging appearance and now he's back for who knows how long.

This show is way too contrived. Each character is a stereotype a la Sex and the City but they made it fun and charming and not overly stupid with the right cast. It is so hard to get through an episode--it seems like a 3-hour bad movie--because ONLY DELIA is worth watching.

I am going against the grain on this one, but I thought Lady Gaga did not sound good. I tried to listen to her whole performance, but finally had to turn it off. Her voice sounded so affected and strained to my ears. I would rather they show highlights from the film with Julie Andrews' voice from the soundtrack than have someone else try to sing the medley.
Preach, Crs97!
The general public are acting like she was Britney and now they've discovered she's Whitney. I always knew she could sing but not remarkably. She has a nice tone but limited range. I also agree with those who point out the last note was especially strained.

I'm down right worried about Giulliana. She seems to be heading towards Karen Carpenter country. She looked absolutely emaciated on the red carpet.
I used to snark on this but seeing her last photos, her gums are red and SWOLLEN. They've been pointed out to be that way before, too, but this was the entire exposed area. It's troubling.

I love Shark Tank so I'm thrilled Robert Herjavec's going to be on! And welcome back, Kym, too!
Wait so Derek and Derek's friggen cousin AND his sister judging? I was kidding when I said they should rename it Derek with the Stars but damn.

I never thought I would like Brad since his Zoe and failed solo shows, but he's my favorite! I agree with him the most and he's definitely the most knowledgable. He's come a long way. Kelly is as useless and style-challenged as ever.

Oh, The Voice.
Adam's still grandstanding on his chair, etc., but Xtina really has the confidence to handle these boys. LOL at her running up to claim Rob Taylor as soon as the music ended and her cute impromptu falsetto: "I want chuuuuuuu!"
Pharrell's smooth pitches come across too full of BS for me this season. And of course he had to sing Happy again, but at least it cheered that girl up and gave her more exposure.
Sawyer made me think of Hanson, too. He seems like a true contender.

OMG he's still trying. Pity applause now.

YAY finally Julianne Moore! Such a deserving actress. And Still Alice was a movie I actually was impressed with this year (besides Nightcrawler which should have been nominated with Jake).

Blew the last note. That song was so much better when the nun did it.
Oh, and no one can sing like Julie Andrews could.
This truth.
I don't care for Eddie Redmayne but it was cute when he spazzed out for a second in unscripted excitement.

Finally someone I wanna hear sing: John Legend. His voice sounds tired but he's still bliss to my ears. And Common can get it.

Wow Jen's dress is outstanding! If only she didn't look like Rachel all the time, though.

lol Terrence Howard's overacting to make it all about him.

It's not that creative but I still laughed at Kevin Hart and Anna Kendrick presenting animated short.
First time I've laughed along with Kevin Hart and been glad to see him.

Rita Ora is taking fashion tips from Lady Gaga, I see.
She always looks jaundiced.

Ugh. Oprah was not having Doogie's stupid eurocentric joke.

Early prediction. NPH doesn't get asked back. I think he's okay but not Oscar caliber. He's best doing The Tonys. He looks like he is trying everything and anything to wake these people up. They are soooooooo serious.
Doogie Howser is plain oatmeal. I need Ricky Gervais, Chris Rock, or Tiny and Amy.

WHY ARE THE PARENTS FIGHTING?!?!
My thoughts exactly. I enjoy their play-fighting but this made me uncomfortable. I actually really like Lori but Robert & Mark were making a lot of sense.
-
The chemistry between Taraji and Terrence is remarkable. I feel like I'm invading their privacy watching the scene is how convincing they are.

The best thing about this episode was Oliver Hudson's performance and role. I loved how he gloats that he's "winning" a la Charlie Sheen and is a Machiavellian, but still has the ability to make me root for him, much like when Juliette was acting out. He and Layla have good chemistry and maybe she can have some kind of indie career with his guidance (if high and mighty Rayna doesn't take her in first). The actress really doesn't look underage.
I hope they don't make Avery stray on Juliette for Sadie. Really tired of the cliched infidelity storylines.

How could Kate pick Geraldo for the win when Leeza won the other task that Kate was the project manager for? OH..because Leeza's an attractive, intelligent and gracious woman who might have stolen her spotlight if she got too close????
Perhaps but probably because he's the only one who was chummy with her after they played husband and wife. She's a nobody so has to cling to whatever legitimate connections she manages.

Who knew Ian was a master of shade? Love how he praised Geraldo in the boardroom: "He lost 5 in a row, yet stayed above the fray!" I reckon even Trump got in on it: "Geraldo, I think you've shown the world what kind of guy you are."
Whatever new work Brandi got done for the live show was subtle and perfectly enhancing, along with the contouring. Geraldo looked a lot better, too.

I hope honey and her old man, literally, become regulars on this show. I like her as a BFF for Jessica.
Yeah, and I like that they made Honey likeable and Jessica unthreatened by her instead of the usual one-dimensional bimbo or superficial trophy wife stereotype.

S08.E02: The Blind Auditions, Part 2
in The Voice (US)

I love that James Brown singer, Anthony (I think?). That is my kind of performer. I could watch a whole season of performances like that. Good for him for choosing Pharrell, I hope.
I loved that banter Blake and Christina had over Joe. And LOL at Christina just echoing back their notes as her pitch. It's been successful 2/2 so far.
That marble-mouthed "affectation" Adam pointed out in Mia is probably why Christina was frowning and didn't turn around. She should have moulded her though--she sounds more deserving than Jacquie Lee!
The girl who came back wasn't 4-chair worthy. Her voice is good but a totally forgettable rip-off of Florence Welch and she has no stage presence.
