What a night...1st SA's FB live - Someone asked him if Olicity was over. He said no, not that he was aware of. Then proceeded to talk about Olicity being a thing (working together) before it was ever a relationship. (I didn't watch but I saw this several places.) 2nd-MG's tweet 2 minutes into the show. 3rd - Oscar Balderrama's discussion . Add this to some already dreading/being nervous about the episode and it's like adding fuel to the fire.

Honestly, I think he's saying shippers' don't impact ratings anymore than comic book fans do. Casual viewers do. They are the largest fan base. I think that's what they don't get. They basically took everything people invested in and said it's not important anymore. There is a difference in evolving the show and completely rebooting the show.

This is how I feel. I have enjoyed this season but I don't really care about anything anymore. I have been hanging around social media hoping something would pop up but it hasn't happened yet. What's in the water today? MG is ridiculing shippers and now Oscar Balderama is in a "discussion" with someone.

There is still time for Oliver to hook up with the reporter.* Unfortunately, if it happens, we might get more than we bargained for. I hate it because it will be Isabel 2.0 but I guess she's supposed to represent the city and that's Oliver's most important relationship (eyeroll). If he doesn't then I'm sure Tina or Talia is a love interest. Otherwise they would be doing S3 with Ray/Felicity again and I just don't think that's happening. *The Felicity/Detective kiss in the promo (police interrogation room) didn't happen tonight. It could happen next week and Oliver sees it and decides to call the reporter.

I don't know if I liked this episode or not. I kept waiting for things to happen that didn't and got "treated" to some I wish I hadn't. I think clarity was for Oliver. He was hoping things were going to go back to the way they were. Now he knows she has moved on. He just wants her to be happy. He has to figure out what comes next for him. She doesn't really have clarity. She said she wasn't holding the door open for them (but not confidently). She owes it to herself to figure out if what she has with Billy is real. Oliver agrees. (eyeroll) I liked Human Target. I really wish I liked Curtis. The more I see the less I like and he had almost no screen time. Sigh. Unfortunately he's probably going to be Felicity's main scene partner going forward. Were he and Evelyn using swords at one point or just defending against? Tobias Church bit the dust. Susan Williams gave HT as Oliver her personal cell. HT also informed Oliver about Felicity moving on. Susan did get a little more interesting in that her PI mentioned HT who she seemed to be aware of. He also gave her a picture of Bratva! Oliver. I saw this elsewhere but I think OneSceneMalone is a good summation of the character. His only purpose at this point is to give Oliver a pass to move on.

I don't think they killed it for good. They did kill it for the time being. Mericles had said earlier in the season that they might not reconcile them this year. They were talking like they would at some point. Guess it will depend on how his romance(s) go. Hers isn't important. MG did basically say we don't care about the shippers on twitter though.

I hope it is the Talia announcement. I would also love it if the reaction is very muted because I am feeling petty. I saw the picture that was posted here in several places too. #Laurel could be the statue only. Weren't they at the pier?

Maybe they filmed KC's scenes for 5.10 when she was filming 5.08? The less time the better in my book. I remember 3.10 being promoted like it was all about BC. It was more about 3.09's fallout and she put on the mask in the last segment.

Are there spoilers? ? Aside from the promise to Laurel which got almost everyone talking (which I think was the point) all MG said was we'll see what Oliver does with the specificity. OQ & FS spoke of it in terms of getting assistance or a new team together. I think what most latched on to were the fake sides. Could the detective become a canary? Sure. Could she become a love interest? Yes. Oliver's? Possibly. The DA's? Maybe. Quentin's? Unlikely. Diggle or Curtis-No. I think that covers the regulars. The thing about fighting in the sides. A cop might need to spar with both criminals and vigilantes. Maybe she'll be a mask and maybe she won't. Felicity will never be one and Diggle has identity concealment. I like @Morrigan2575 idea of Manhunter who had multiple aliases I think.

So Malone is pro vigilante and the new one is anti. DA is Vigilante and the Mayor is a vigilante. Fun times. Are we actually going to see the ACU?

Didn't Geoff Johns get a promotion which put him in creative charge of all D.C. tv & film properties? Shortly after he said something about you can't have Green Arrow without Black Canary. She's too important to his history. I wonder if approval was granted to kill off Laurel with the stipulations that a new, better canary be established. 4.19 gave us Evelyn as canary. She wasn't what D.C. was looking for so her scene is dropped in 4.23 and they are told to try again.

I think NuCanary is a WB/DC mandate. My concern isn't about being a love interest. I am more concerned about a 2B repeat where everyone is sidelined for this character. Nothing indicates this but I don't have faith in the storylines anymore.

In the last 3 episodes David Ramsey has received less than 5 minutes of screen time. I believe it was less than 30 seconds in the premiere. I have to wonder if this is what is going to happen to Emily 's after 5.05 once Oliver moves on.

I hadn't thought about tying it back to Thea somehow. Interesting. I thought maybe that prompts the reporter leaving but according to her IMDB she is in 5.09. Yes, I know it's IMDB.

Any guesses on Lance's shocking secret in 5.07? Did he find out he has a secret child named Dinah he didn't know about?

Maybe Wild Dog is being childish and using nicknames they don't like because they gave him a code name he doesn't like? Doesn't make it any less annoying but I am sure he feels justified.

Is Human Target the guy with the gun wearing a helmet and leather jacket in the promo? I remember one of the BTS pics Wil Traval posted he had on a leather jacket and that wasn't Diggle's new helmet.

Felicity's motto also is "My Life, My Choice." I wonder if Diggle's arc is about both redemption and trying to prove his innocence. I liked the Felicity and Oliver phone call about the break-in at Palmer Tech. I also liked Felicity figuring out Oliver was the culprit. Can't hide much when your phone's GPS is on.

I like the fact that the baby vigilantes realized Oliver was taking it easy on them in training! I also like the fact that Oliver doesn't give up/quit even when it was Lyla telling him to abort the mission. I'm guessing Rene's dishonorable discharge has something to do with insubordination.
