  1. Either that or Ramona is showing symptoms of Alzheimer's.
  2. Another disappointing episode. I'm close to calling it quits on this series. I missed about the first 15-20 minutes, but from what I can tell it's just another poorly run hotel that new throw rugs and bedding will not fix. The problem is these people have no business running a hotel. I get the feeling that for the sons and old man it's just a venue to play music and get your party on with the locals and your stoner friends -- oh, and run a hotel on the side (poor mom). Current reviews on Yelp and TripAdvisor indicate the same. Btw, what kind of lodge has wall to wall carpet? Rustic hardwood floors look better and are more hygienic.
  3. Fingers crossed that Brandi doesn't find a way to derail the season and make it all about her. I'm optimistic about Lisa Rinna and Eileen Davidson bringing a fun, lighter vibe this season. And I've heard Lisa Vanderpump and Kyle are friendly again. Things are actually looking up.
  4. Well said, Copacabana. Although I wouldn't let Heather boss me around, I feel she's far more tolerable than the rest. Well, except for maybe Lu. ETA: Actually, I take that back, I think LuAnn is probably more tolerable because of Heather and maybe Carole too -- they brought her down to earth with their dislike for pretension.
  5. I'd like to see word from some more reliable sources other than ROL -- although I think that's who first broke the news about Gretch and Slimey being fired...fingers crossed!!
  6. That, and throw in a monthly facial peel and botox every 6 months.
  7. I remember Carole saying that their relationship allowed them to see other people because Russ was on tour a lot and I think they lived on opposite coasts. Agree -- you don't go after your girlfriend's/co-worker's ex. Very bad form.
  8. I watched Alex's analysis of part 1 of the reunion and she said that there's been talk of the low ratings across all the HW franchises (ATL being the exception) and that Bravo may stop filming RH's or go to scripted drama using actresses like they are doing in RHOBH. I hope they don't do an overhaul on NYC.
  9. So, we find out that the wine glass Ramona tossed at Kristen was not the flimsy plastic kind, like the one she brought to the reunion, but was a heavier CURED plastic (thank you, Heather) wine glass. I know just the kind. And that makes a lot more sense to me how it could have cut her lip. And CLASSIC Ramona has to down play it and back peddle and look like a total ass. That said, I really can only take Kristen in small doses -- she drains me with her whining and OTT reactions to everything. Can we PLEASE not bring her back next season as a full-time HW and keep her on as just a "friend of" instead?
  10. Yes, makes no sense. I do believe she's got plumbing issues and has not put the money into maintaining her home like a responsible homeowner. Hell, the whole house is a ramshackle mess because she would rather spend her money on her damn appearance!! She deprives her free servants a proper bath over depriving herself of beauty treatments and liposuction. She probably encourages her "staff" of free interns to get a gym membership so they'll have access to hot showers. She makes no secret of how important she is in her own deluded mind.
  11. LuAnn deserves a bonus. She was far more than a "friend of" this season. LuAnn, you kicked ass this reunion and came off impressive. Way to go, Countess.
  12. I don't know why but all these Vacations by Vicki are cracking me up! Thanks for the giggle.
  13. I think the annex has 20-24 rooms and the main hotel 4. The website said the have a total of 28 rooms for lodging their guests.
  14. Yep. Tamballs knows exactly what she's doing. I guess she's decided to go big or go home. I'm trying not to get too excited about her flaming out like this for fear she'll manage to worm her way into next season.
  15. I was THRILLED to see Tamra out production like that. If for no other reason than for Bravo executives to make our dreams come true and give Backdoor Tams her walking papers. Fingers crossed!! It's almost too much to hope for. Much like last year when I held my breath that Gretchen and Slade would get pitched out with the trash. This season has vastly improved without that trollop and her slimy boyfriend. Heather and Miss Terry can take it from here, Tamballs. Buh bye.
  16. This from Heather on her blog dated October 2012: But before I get into my perspective on Part 1, I would like to take this opportunity to explain why I use the term “holla” and what it means. I will start by telling you that I did not "plan it" as part of my opening title line for the show, it happened while recording my line, "My success is built on making women look and feel there best." In the studio while recording it one of our producers said, "It feel like it needs a 'Heatherism' on the end? Maybe try ending it with something that comes organically to you and we’ll see how it sounds?" “Holla" naturally flowed out of me as a positive shout out to all the ladies who over the past 4 years have been rockin' and lovin' bought my Yummie Tummie products and it stuck. Now I can’t go anywhere without out getting a "holla" from folks I meet on the street, to every tweet #holla and even from my closest friends, who say "holla" when I walk into a room. On Twitter, my newest Jewish friends shout out to me with a "challah" (which is a Jewish bread that is pronounced very much the same way as holla, that among other things, is traditional to Friday night dinner), wishing me a lovely Shabbat and I LOVE IT ALL! It's so fun and feel good! I have always used "holla" as a positive "shout out," or as an "acknowledgement" that I use with friends. Some use it as a follow up, i.e.: "Holla back when you can" when leaving a message. "Holla" is a term that I picked up years ago and whether I am 30 or 42, I use it when it feels right, but it has never defined me until the show aired.
  17. That's right, snowblossom. To be precise, it's $69 for all the rooms at the annex. They still have the 4 suites available in the main hotel. The "luxury" executive suite that Gordon stayed in has a room rate of $150, and the other 3 suites go for between $100-125 a night on expedia.com, and I would think that this being "high" season right now for the Pacific Northwest that these prices will go down when Summer is over.
  18. According to these recent reviews on Expedia people seem to find it an acceptable hotel to lodge in... Back to Hotel Info 3.8 based on 4 reviews 3of 5 . . Jul 22, 2014 4of 5 Hidden historic treasure! I stayed at the Monticello on July 12 as my Seattle to Portland bike ride stop over. Beautiful, historic hotel which is used for check in. The rooms are now apartments and hotel lodging is in the single story motel next door. The motel isn't much to look at on the outside but WOW, the inside was huge and updated (I had room 120). The shower head was way too strong for my comfort level, pelting. Hotel staff: one was new and trying hard and was competent. Her trainer, I'm assuming a long time employee, seemed less than energetic to be in the service industry. The restaurant is unfortunately no longer open. For $70 a night this place was FANTASTIC, I highly recommend it. Jul 20, 2014 4of 5 Hotel in Longview, WA The hotel is an old building, but the room is very comfortable. I's clean and large square foot, like an apartment. Jul 08, 2014 4of 5 victorian style hotel description on page was wrong. Food and drinks were stated in description but not provided by hotel. Jul 08, 2014 Top Edited to add: I just know I wouldn't stay there!! I'm not going to stay in any place after seeing how that douche bag owner treated his employees, not to mention his bringing in old semen soaked mattresses from home -- blech.
  19. At least with last weeks episode (Calli's hotel in New Mexico) it was fun to snark on -- this week's episode was just downright depressing. I agree that they need to find hotels that aren't so far run into the ground that they can help make realistic changes. I would like to know how many rooms the hotel had (not including the motel/annex). I wonder if the owner was renting some of the rooms as apartments even before Gordon showed up? Some of the what I read online indicate they rent the rooms out as apartments as they all have kitchenettes. The owner had been working there from the time he was 18 -- am I right? He said something to the effect that he'd been going to the hotel (I presume he meant the restaurant part) since he was a kid at 8 years old, and used to admire the cocktail waitresses. Did he not later say he started tending bar there in the lounge? Odd. Seems he's been setting himself up to have his whole life revolve around the hotel and alcohol from the time he was a kid. Strangely, he was arrested for a DUI in front of the hotel the night before Gordon showed up -- however, production and camera crew showed up the day before and were there when the owner was arrested.
  20. Whatever. I'm not on here to support or defend Aviva. I am careful about calling someone out definitively for being racist when I don't know for sure.
  21. I am no fan of Aviva in the least, but I think it may be a little reaching to call her a racist. An idiot, yes. A racist? I'm not so sure about that.
  22. What a sad episode!! I've been through Longview a couple of times on my way to Portland and the town is depressed economically. This is not a destination town. Every time I passed through it was gray and wet. Yes, as mentioned upthread, there are a lot of articles online about the Monticello. The hotel/motel is still in business and I guess they rent out apartments in the main hotel -- I think they function as efficiency apartments? The restaurant and lounge are closed and it looks like the owner wants to lease it out for someone else to run. It looked like the majority of his staff worked in the restaurant and lounge -- they were all let go without any notice. The owner seems like a real ass. I feel bad for all the people who lost their jobs. Also, how weird was it that the owner was into women 30 years his senior?! Bizarre.

Haha. Freddie Prinze Jr sounds like a sniveling little baby -- guess he took his ball and went home. That'll teach 'em, Freddie.
  24. I think Lu cuts them a lot of slack the same way most of us would with anyone who is mentally disabled.
