  1. So much to unpack. Juan hanging up on Robyn is now the official Carlton dance of Bravo. It never gets old and it's always funny. Gizelle please stop pretending that Candiace said you treat people different because of the color of their skin. The audience should not let her get off that easy. You know GD WELL you benefit from pretty privileges and in turn, Robyn (who must have been named by the universe because she is the most loyal sidekick ever) is part of your package deal. People have been let go from Bravo for far less but there you sit, in your TEMU lace fronts making false accusations and attacking a different marriage every season. She needs to stop acting like the colorist conversation is about her being racist. And it really ripped my drawers when her and Karen said "we have brown skinned girls." Chile, just say you can't be racist because your best friend is black and you don't see color because that is the same energy. Loving your kids is not factored into what C was saying. I personally don't think Gizelle herself is colorist. I do think she is a soul sucking piece of shit that has gotten by on her looks. But her employer is colorist and so are some of the fans and I'm not being talked down from my opinion. All of them are beautiful IMO. This is the prettiest housewives cast in my eyes from the beginning. But G is both beautiful and fair skin. And if I was her, I wouldn't apologize for it. Nothing she can do about it, she was simply born and hit the DNA lottery. It's not her fault, but stop doing your impression of Stevie Wonder and pretending you are being labeled a racist because you are light skinned. A few castmates have eluded to the fact that she gets away with things because of how she looks - Wendy, Katie, Ray, Monique. She wore that pretty privilege like a badge of honor. But Candiace had the unmitigated gall to call it exactly what it was and that is why she is mad. Girl just stop.
  2. My sister has a friend of almost 25 years. One year we all went to San Francisco together. They went for work and I tagged along because they stayed in a luxury hotel for free. He gives himself very nice birthday parties and invites me and my husband. He came to our wedding as my sister's plus one. I went to his daughter's quinceanera with my sister. There is enough pictures of us together to do a collage on social media for respective birthdays. Nneka - you're really good friends with Alex so stop lying. You two know each other really well. Why was he at your wedding if you all aren't close. Me - not that it's any of your business Nneka but Alex IS MY SISTER'S FRIEND. Yes I know Alex. Yes we have been to each other celebrations but never idenpendent of my sister. Yes I've said nice things about Alex because every time we were together he is nothing but nice and a lot fun. But no Nneka he is not my close friend. But yes I know Alex. Can you comprehend these words Nneka.
  3. I think this is the wrong context. What we are saying it's the go to insult for anyone you feel like is doing drugs. Even black TV judges (this was Judge Mathis go to insult) have called people "crackheads" because of their erratic behavior. It is not literal. For some reason "heroine addict" just don't hit like crackhead. For the most part, during the crack epidemic, they were mostly African American, poor and lived in improvised neighborhoods. They were skinny, rotted teeth. And crack was pennies on the dollar compared to other drugs. So in black culture (can't speak for any other race) calling someone a "crackhead" is considered a serious insult. If anyone here watches Basketball Wives, the day Evelyn called Tammy a crackhead because of how much weight she loss was basically the catalyst for Tammi leaving the show. And obviously the producer who asked Wendy this question was probably not black because asking her for a crack receipt was just stupid. She totes stole "show me the receipt" line from the late great Whitney Houston. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.
  4. But does that necessarily mean they are close friends? I have people I admire through what I like to call reverse friendship osmosis. They are close to someone I am close with. I do agree that I would never claim not to know them. I think that part is not true but I think both can be true at the same time. She is my sister's friend, I consider her a person of honor and someone my daughter can look up to.
  5. This is the same energy these ladies had for Monique so if Wendy is paying Nneka dust it does not bother me in the least. And that crackhead comment would have gotten a lot more pushback from a non actual crackhead. I don't think Nneka did crack, but she never said I don't do drugs she said I don't do crack. Crackhead is basically the "polo shirt" of the drug world. You don't necessary mean it's a Ralph Lauren shirt, it's more of the style. And it's not a Housewife on any franchise who didn't defend their wacko momma to the death, and culturally this is how black women roll, especially the ones who love they momma (looking at you Kandi.) She can be wrong as 2 left feet and a $3 dollar bill but we are her hype man, ride or die, what you say about my momma crazy. Speaking from experience. These ladies know better. Once the momma enters the conversation, everything else (except maybe minor children) is fair game. Culturally, Nneka called Wendy's mother the devil which is Nigeria is very serious. Yeah you a crackhead.
  6. I hate that Nneka and that lace meets eyebrow Tubi wig with the baby hair has allowed Hocus Pocus to put her up to this nonsense. One of the reasons I enjoy Potomac is no matter who mad with who they will get together.
  7. @drivethroo *clap clap clap* Also, it was the conversation with Katie that compelled Robyn to do a genetics test where she found out she was more European than African and it was then and only then did she take it a down a notch. Because as we all knew at the time - Katie was right.
  8. As a black woman, an old one at that, I have opinions on the issue but I honestly just don't want to be a part of this conversation anymore and I feel like it's so much bigger than message boards. The GEB is a character trait in my opinion because it's how G and R even refer to themselves as a collective. This cast keeps comparing Nneka to Wendy calling her Wendy's replacement and in my head, it goes beyond just the two of them being from Nigeria. That makes absolutely no sense; if 5 cast members can be from Maryland, why can't 2 be from Nigeria? But for me personally, it's the only thing I have to say on the matter. Respectfully.
  9. I dont understand why they can't have 2 Wendys but they have 4 light bright shit starters. All this Wendy dont want to be replaced with another Wendy when they are all in pairs 2 boring liars with green eyes 2 old Queens jockeying to be anchor on the relay team - Karen and Charice 2 young ones with big mouths and white husbands - Ashley and Candiace They only one with no twin is Mia. So why can't there be 2 Wendys?
  10. 100% agree this is the real problem. Nneka going in on this shrine nonsense like it's real has already gotten old. And Jamal "false prophet probably even Mary's baby daddy" telling his bride of Chuckie it's nothing to play with -- well yeah that's valid. It's not Voodoo it's the things YOU doo Beelzebub. STFU Gizelle. I wish everyone would just gang up on G. Hold her accountable for all the shit she has said and done over the years and ice her out. If Atlanta can survive (barely) without Nene, Potomac can survive without Gizelle.
  11. The previews for next week when that crow landed and Mia said "that's not yo momma is it" sent me. The scream I scrumpt. They better watch out because Mia is on a redemption tour. The way Gizelle treat people is starting to show on her face. I said it years ago but the season G & R are at odds will be the best one ever. And it's slowly building up. I hate to see it but there is absolutely no way Bravo will allow this alliance to continue. I dont watch all the franchises but I believe this may be the last long standing true friendship in the Housewives universe. .
  12. What I used to like about this show is how the heroes somehow always prevailed and there were not any shocking deaths after shocking deaths like the original. I did wear black for 3 days after the demise of John Dorie but since then everyone seems to be doing well. I honestly felt nothing for Charlie (did HATE the way she died) because A. I hadn't seen her since they all sailed off looking for Gilligan's Island B. Thought she was long dead from radiation poisoning. I felt like they just used her as a throw away character for "shocking death of the season" and it felt flat because no one was was really looking for Charlie. Madison you are no Carol. Stop trying to kill kids. They could have used last week for a Troy back story instead of the sanctuary story. How was Dwight's room still in tact when last we saw the place it was all but gone. They could barely shelter there during the storm from season 10 of the OG. And now Dwight is in the future? Has to be the future because once Morgan came aboard the timelines were the same. I watched this long so I will watch the conclusion but they are pissing me off.
  13. This entire post was more entertaining than the last 2 episodes
  14. How did they get Althea's tank back. Since at this point, it's the most interesting character on the show. The last I remember seeing it, Ginny had in Lawton and Victor didn't drive it to the tower. Josie and the Pussycats said they met Alicia at the tower, so was it there? I'm confused. I'm still confused from last season at exactly what happened to Morgan's community and Lawton unless I missed something in between. The dream episode with Grace showed a car explosion outside the walls, then the next episode, Morgan was looking around at a destroyed community. I assume everyone had scattered which is how Rachel ended up on the road alone with Mo. Because why didn't they all stick together? So the car explosion destroyed everything? And before the big bang Victor was everywhere except Lawton. What happened to that thriving community? What happened to that bounty hunter's twin brother? Remember after the explosion, Sara, Luci, et. al. was in that nice home? Why did they leave? Where was this place located that it survived the blast? They wasted an entire story last week that meant absolutely nothing to the story. Why do they think we are that interested in Dwight and Sherry. I will never forgive them for what they did Daryl when he tried to help save Sherry's sister.
  15. πŸ˜‚Now ma'am, please don't use your logic, reason and common sense LMAO. Takes all the fun out of my foolishness. I don't want to go into too many details since it's technically not about the show and I don't want to get kicked out. But I will send you a private message.
  16. Not speaking on anyone or any platform in particular but as a woman of a certain age reading some of the comments on their faces etc. YIKES. I can certainly relate to being older and single and thinking your odds get slimmer and slimmer every passing year. Then you come on television hoping for your fairytale and not only do you not get it but you get to read all the things wrong with you and a magnifying glass on your imperfections. I know that is what they signed up for, I get it but DAMN. My skin is not thick enough. Fun fact - many many moons ago, I made it to the call back for Flavor Of Love Season 2 πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ and my daughter was thisclose to being on The Real World (back when it was relevant and popular.) I made the decision for both of us that it was not a good idea because even back then before social media, the internet had no filter and I knew how sensitive we both were. Best decision ever.
  17. Not sure how this season is any different than what happens on every single season of this show. Except everyone has an AARP card. Women fall in love immediately - check Man makes it clear from jump who he is interested in - check Everyone feels special and is convinced they will get the first impression rose - check The person with the FIR barely spends any time with the bachelor for the first few weeks and is now starting to feel forgotten - check One person picks a target and tries their best to get that person eliminated and usually that target stays until the end and sometimes "win" - check The one lady with absolutely no chance gets the best date possible then the next week is eliminated - check The women he actually likes get the first few dates then get ghosted because they try to throw us off of the scent - check Can I walk you out - check I love you - check Says something during hometown date that convinces everyone this is "real" - check Dumps someone who never saw it coming - check The only thing missing is the vile, loud shouting match at the ATFR show and instead of women getting to beat him like a piΓ±ata and cry about how he "lied" to them, these ladies kept it classy even though they were hurt.
  18. Speaking from my real life scenario, it does happen because well, it happened to me. All the things you mentioned minus the being on TV with 24 other women. I left a beautiful high rise apartment with Target at my front door to live in a town full of powerplants where people lean politically the opposite of me and are very LOUD about it. It did help that my then boyfriend wasn't dating 24 other woman but still. I'm not as old as these ladies but I do get discounts at Denny's. For me, I found that once I got a certain age the things I thought I would never do I have been never nevering like I never nevered.
  19. The truth of the matter is if Juan leaves, he will quickly acquire all the things he had with Robyn and perhaps more depending on where he hangs his hat. But statistically speaking, Robyn will not be able to do the same, at least not with a partner. Studies and real life has shown time and time again that black women, no matter how beautiful, smart and successful have the hardest time finding life partners of equal or greater value after a certain age. Of course there will be the I before E except after C exceptions. It's just the way it is. From personal experience, I find that older black women tend to "hang on" longer than is probably healthy. Looks aside, Robyn is middle aged, 2 minor children, her cornbread is not done in the middle and her personality is fresh out the dryer on the 60 minute cycle for 2 small towels - DRY AF. She is not a catch and neither is Juan. HOWEVER COMMA, Juan won't have a problem finding another roommate. Probably ever. My friend was married for 30 years when her husband met a woman at the gym. He is now gone with nary a care in the world. And life is shoving a pineapple up her butt. She knows her chances of finding someone else are slim and it's sad but it's reality. Everyone should just let Robyn be Lois Lane and pretend she doesn't know her husband is Superman because Superman wears glasses. Just leave her alone. The idea of being alone and or being without Juan is just not something she is ready for. They need to back off. She probably already feel stupid so getting in her face and constantly telling her she is stupid is not going to move the train along any faster.
  20. Robyn is not the dumbest woman alive but when that woman dies, it's her time to shine. Ashley's kids look like John C Rilley. Gizelle still tacky. Candiace still looks like a bite sized snickers. Wendy is still trying. Way too hard I might add. Mia is a pot of hotdog water. Karen is still using Betty Davis glam sqaud from Whatever Happened To Baby Jane. That's all I got.
  21. Speaking of needing an oxygen tank, as soon as I recover from these 5 words, I can make my point. The scream I scrumpted πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Put me in the camp with the people who really liked this show in the beginning and thought quite a few stories they told were interesting. Now don't gather your pitchforks and run me out of town, but for me, mistake number 1 was killing John Dorie and Virginia. Yes, Yosemite Sam Ginny. Here me out. She was evil but she was not as evil as some of the other big bad characters of this franchise. She honestly ranks almost dead last for my list of the villains. That goes for Pamela Milton as well (somewhat). I could have done without the slave train builders arc. That is where she lost me. They did some messed up shit don't get me wrong but people weren't just living, they were thriving. The worlds they created were somewhat normal considering the circumstances. I think they should have killed Dakota, not Ginny (I also still contend for two people who weren't actually related IRL, the casting of Ginny and Dakota was some of the best I had seen for a minute. They really did look like they had the same DNA.) I'm going to skip past the atomic bomb/Teddy/John Dorie Sr story and what they did to Wes. It's just too painful. I enjoyed the doomsday preppers camp, the hotel, the Indian tribe that helped them on the damn, the community Morgan built. I feel like him and Ginny could have co-existed eventually. I also enjoyed how few morally tiptoeing characters there were (Daniel and Strand aside) Morgan, John Dorie (favorite across every single show HANDS DOWN) Al, Alicia, Sara, Luciana, June, Wendell, the Rabbi etc. all good people who stayed good people. As opposed to the original show where the hero/villian was all dependent on who got to tell their side of the story first. Like everyone else here, I will ride it out mostly because I have Walking Dead Stockholm Syndrome. Hell, I would watch the backstory of that horse Rick got killed in season 1.
  22. Agreed. Lots of people had too much hair. I didn't understand letting it flow freely like they were shooting a shampoo commercial.
  23. Hi Black person here πŸ˜‚. There is nothing complicated about Strand's hair. As a matter of fact, if the world went to shit, most black people would have very few hair care options and "loc'ing" your hair is the easiest. All you have to do is twist it one time, then when it starts to grow, twist the part that grows and in a few short months, the hair will "loc" in place. The post is still funny so I'm not trying to lecture or soapbox :). Michonne and Ezekiel technically have the same hairstyle but it's not as neat as Strands. And considering he had food, water and electricity keeping his hair like that would not be that difficult. The worst black hairstyle in Walking Dead history actually belongs to Jacqui from season 1. HER HAIR was overly complicated - permed, styled and neat. Not possible if she has the standard grade of hair for most black women who are not mixed race (kinky) after camping in the woods for months. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk. Back to the snark.
