  1. My second and third daughter are both born on Sept. 27... three years apart. The older one once had an argument with her sister over some toy, and cried out, "I'm sick of it! I have to share EVERYTHING with you..even my birthday!!" (I made sure after that, that they got their own separate birthday parties) oops..edited to add: To get back on topic..I'm hoping Jabbie are next to get pregnant..if that's what they both want. They seem like a genuine love match to me.
  2. How interesting. I just watched the little video on the site (made in Japan) and then immediately shared it on Facebook. Such a good idea.
  3. Jill should have sold them then, and gotten some groceries for her poor starving, scrawny kids. She could've bought them each a much less pricey baby doll for Christmas with some of that money.
  4. Just to show there is hope out there....I present my older sister's story. She has been a devoted Christian ever since she divorced her first husband. I think her next three husbands "said" they were Christians to get her to marry them, and have a decent place to live. (she's a big time people rescuer) She has been married five times altogether: 1.) to S. for 20 years (he was physically violent to her) 2.) to C. for 7 Years (he slept with other women when drunk, which was often. He gave off a very creepy vibe, and nobody in our family ever let their kids anywhere near him) 3. to W. for 6 years (he pulled a knife on her after she refused his demand for a BJ) 4.) To J. for 11 years (who asked her for a divorce just two months after she inherited some money from our aunt. He got a good payout and her dog.) 5.) Now she has been married for five years to B. They met on eHarmony 10 months after J. divorced her, and 4 months after B’s wife of 56 years died of breast cancer. Now my sister seems to have the best marriage ever. It's like it was meant to be. They (and their families) get along so well. They're both in their 70's and go to church together, fish together, and play Santa and Mrs. Claus together for homeless kids in shelters. They are so darn cute! (I hope I didn't just jinx it.) πŸ˜‚
  5. None of the men I know wear flip flops..is that a thing now?
  6. I swear, I learn so much on these forums. Who knew? (not me) http://www.michianaglbtcenter.org/difference-aromantic-asexual/
  7. This reminded me of Ellen's stand up about a deer-head at a party.
  8. See..I swear like a sailor, but I don't dis his God, and he still gets mad. I even always write OMGosh instead OMG, because I was raised religious too, and it still make me feel squidgy. But again, if I wanted to take the Lord's name in vain..my choice..because we are supposed to have separation of church and state ...DAMMIT. (not aimed at you) That's what really chaps my hide about the whole thing.
  9. (I obviously have too much free time on my hands) πŸ™„
  10. Some highly religious people (my dh) think swearing is a terrible sin. I fucking don't. So what, who cares? What about separation of church and state?
  11. I'm just now getting to this episode. Go Joy!
  12. This was interesting..(has no sound, but Jay and Fernanda are closed captioned) https://www.eonline.com/videos/embed/282562
  13. Now I can't unsee it either. Does it make me a creepy old lady because I cropped it to take a better look? πŸ™„
  14. We have a long running family joke that my SIL is an axe murderer. It's because my second daughter met him on an airline flight, when she was flying to someplace to go and live with her (then) fiance. She then called to tell me she was breaking off her engagement to be with this guy. I yelled, "WHAT?! Are you nuts? What if he's an AXE MURDERER?!??" (they've been married 15 years now and have three kids) πŸ˜‚
  15. I'm addicted. Love her. https://www.godtube.com/watch/?v=11EMF1NU
  16. Well , I just recently bought some Anker brand ones, so now I have hope. (they do seem sturdy.) But they are ugly gray. I need a stand out color so I can find them..lol
  17. Thanks! Ps I have to get contrasting colors or I'd never be able to find it! πŸ˜‚
  18. No matter how I think I baby them, and how much I paid , my charging cords never last more than a couple of months. I would love to know if anyone knows of a good sturdy brand!
  19. No kidding. I have three grown kids who were/are in the military, and *gasp* they are either Democrats or Independents. But, to be fair, my nephew is in the Marines, and he's a Republican. Even so, although it's a very small sampling, it's 3 to 1.
  20. I thinks Sandra's about a year old. I'm guessing they wanted three kids altogether. They got a late start and had so they had to have them all close together. Isn't Sara in her forties or something? edit : @RHJunkie was ahead of me :)
  21. Happy birthday to your son! (my 1st born is going to be 50 this year.)😭 Ditto on the no date ever thing with my nephew. He's 48 years old now, and never had a date of any kind. He may just be asexual, but I really think it's more that he is extremely shy and very socially awkward. I got him his first job (at age 28) by begging my pharmacy manager to hire him (they're very glad they did.) He's been working there for twenty years now. What was my point? Um...no clue. πŸ™ƒ
  22. I know you're just kidding, but just in case the lack of sunlight really bothers you (or anyone else in the winter): I was prescribed a light box just for days(weeks/months) like this. I was diagnosed with Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) many years ago. I used to get clinically depressed to the point where I was hospitalized for it a few times. Haven't been been depressed ever since I started the light therapy. PS make sure you get a FULL SPECTRUM light box. When I got my first one eons ago, it was over $600. Now you can get one for under $50. ***This has been a public service announcement from moi. πŸ€—
