  1. Meri courted Robyn to join the family so she could stick it to Christine, who she knew would be jealous about being replaced as the newest and youngest wife. I think it backfired on her.
  2. I know this is common knowledge, but I just need to say again that Kody is such a douchebag, martyr, immature, asshole. I want to hear him tell his wives to "suck it up" just to see if any of them has the balls to actually leave him. I don't have a clue why the hell Meri is hanging around. It doesn't sound like she and Kody are living together at all, and they have no minor children together. And she has her own source of income. And for all Janelle's love of the one house idea, wasn't she the one who left the family for 3 years with her kids because she couldn't stand it anymore?
  3. You're assuming that Robyn wants Kody around full time, which I am not at all sure is the case. I think Robyn will eventually be the new Meri about 15 years from now. That "pond" looked dirty in the previous episodes. I can't imagine fighting over it. How many kids are actually still living at home to move into this massive house that Kody wants to build?
  4. I think Christine and Robyn are bound by the religion. I think Meri is bound by laziness and the opportunity to torture others with her pouting face, and I think Janelle just doesn't care. If they were really living the principle, Mariah's homosexuality and relationship would be a huge problem. You would never see the Duggars embracing a gay daughter. Also, not having a single kid who wants to live plural marriage as an adult would be a huge problem. They are living polygamy as a lifestyle, not a religion. Did we see any glimpses of Logan or Mykelti? I haven't seen the entire episode yet this week, but they were definitely missing from the Christmas Eve episode.
  5. I'm not sure they're suffering as much as you think. They are living in huge houses (except poor Janelle, who somehow got screwed in Flagstaff), driving nice cars, and raising seemingly nice children. They have it much better than many other single moms. Hell, Christine and Robyn don't even appear to work outside the home, and Janelle is only doing the realtor thing part-time, and Meri is making huge money off her public persona by selling the Lularoe crap. Plus, every single one of them has other family and resources, and could leave Kody's ass if they wanted. None of these women are trapped by anything other than laziness and greed.
  6. Based on what has been hinted at on the show and what we see in their Instragram photos, I have serious doubts about whether any of these people even speak to each other when the cameras aren't rolling. The houses in Flagstaff aren't that far apart, but the wives hint that they have barely seen each other in the 3 months since they moved, even though none of them know anyone else in town. So Christine would rather sit alone in her house than wander over to Janelle's for some tea. And since they don't seem to know much about each other's daily lives, I also suspect they aren't texting or calling much. I think the whole relationship is for the show. They are single mothers with a dude who shows up for food and sex and the occasional handyman assignment once or twice a week. They are what they have accused other polygamist families of being. A bunch of women sharing a guy who hate each other.
  7. That elevator is the new wet bar. I do agree with Meri on one thing. For a family that size that goes on and on and ON about togetherness, someone should be willing to help Meri put together her bed and unpack her shit. It speaks volumes that no one wants to volunteer, and that Janelle had to hire someone to get her stuff done as well. So Kody says he doesn't stay or live at Meri's right now. Does that mean he doesn't sleep there at all? Dating sucks, but I am far happier single with my cat than I have ever seen Meri during any season of this show. Cut off the diseased limb, and go on with your life. Meri has a daughter, other family, and two businesses. She wouldn't be any more alone than she is right now. And she could go back to Utah and run the bed and breakfast with her mom, instead of staying in Flagstaff with the drama.
  8. You left out an important trait. You want someone who you can't actually talk to because you don't speak a common language. So you can have a whole life of one-word sentences and Google Translate. And someone whose family thinks you're a dirty whore.
  9. Jazmin and Blake are like watching an awkward blind date between two people who met online and have zero chemistry in person. But it's the blind date that never ends. There is no affection between them. Jazmin appears to have no emotions about anything at all, really. But I can't imagine how these two went from talking to online to being engaged.
  10. I'm guessing that either the neighbors have seen the show and don't want to live next door to dramatic morons, or that the real complaint was about the production vans that would be parked on the street. Other shows have had complaints about that sort of thing from the neighbors.
  11. Besides the 3 youngest kids (Truely, Solomon, and Ariella), the next youngest kids are already middle school, aren't they? Or am I missing someone? Assuming it will take a good two years before anyone is living on "The Land" at Coyote Pass, the "triplets" who are high school juniors will already be done with high school and moving out for college. How many people does that leave to live on the huge property in 4 separate houses in the middle of nowhere? During the episode, someone pointed out that Kody's dream of the kids coming back to live isn't going to happen. None of the kids seem to view Flagstaff as their final destination. Did they move to Flagstaff because TLC told them they needed a new storyline or they would be cancelled? That's the only reason I can see besides utter stupidity that would make them make this ridiculous move. Also very telling that Meri is in Vegas instead of in a spare bedroom in one of the rental houses.
  12. The Duggar kids married young and immediately started producing more cute babies for people to look at. And even with that, Counting On seems horribly boring to me. Watching Maddy Gosselin go to class and roll her eyes at everything and everyone holds no appeal for me. Plus, Jim Bob Duggar is smart. He knows how to manipulate a situation. Kate never seemed all that intelligent. Jim Bob has side businesses and was even in government for a time. Kate has done nothing but birth out 6 kids at once. I might be persuaded to watch an hour of Jon Gosselin being a "DJ", just for the opportunity to laugh my ass off.
  13. People on social media keep acting like this is some huge victory for Jon over Kate. In reality, the show was already 99.99% dead. The kids are too old. They're not cute, and the college episode was boring as hell. Plus, Kate is awkward on camera. She was only entertaining when she was yelling at Jon or had a number of adorable small children surrounding her. She has no future in television, completely apart from the divorce issues and the situation with the kids. And for all Jon's talk about protecting his kids, I would bet money that he got paid for the Dr. Oz interview, where he said his kids are immature and have to be "re-parented", and continued to publicly bash their mother. And since Jon is such a social media fan, can he post how much child support he has actually paid for his 8 kids over the years? How much is he contributing to Maddy and Cara's college expenses? He seems to have plenty of money for Eagles tickets and expensive vacations.
  14. Why is this episode called Kicked Out?? No one has kicked them out of anywhere during this entire show. In all the seasons, we have not seen a single real example of anyone truly rejecting them from anything. Meri lost her job in the first season, but that was more likely due to the reality show thing and not just because she was a polygamist. Transgender people face more rejection on a daily basis than any of these assholes have known in 20 years of marriage. Utah doesn't even enforce their anti-polygamist laws. If Robyn is pregnant again, I will vomit. How old is she now anyway? Maybe she is pregnant with triplets, and that's why her house needs to be 3 times bigger than any of the other wives.
  15. I think Anna is just desperate not to be alone. She is desperate for a relationship. Anna just reeks of desperation in general. And where she is living, there may not be that many single guys in her age range. And it has to be stressful to be left alone with 3 kids. Beekeeping can't pay all that well. I do have sympathy for her, but she put her kids last to fulfill her own needs.
  16. From what Anna said at the beginning of the season, it sounded like the father was around, and then just bailed and doesn't even see the kids. Which would be traumatic for any child, even before mom starts dating weird guys they can't even have a conversation with and who believes their existence is a sin. Also, Mursel didn't want to tell his family about Anna's kids because Mursel's family would think she is a whore. And Anna agreed to this secret, instead of standing up for herself from the beginning. Which says a lot about Anna.
  17. It should be a concrete rule that you can't get a K-1 Visa for someone unless you can have a conversation with them without using a Translator app on your phone. Both of you need to know a language well enough to have a conversation, or it's not a real relationship. Anna's kids couldn't talk to Mursel because he didn't speak any real English. And for all the other reasons people have stated, but the Translator app thing bugs the shit out of me. For all their bullshit, at least Angela and Michael are able to talk to each other. It's also absurd that you can get a K-1 Visa for someone you spent 8 hours with while docked during a cruise.
  18. Reality shows are different. The kids aren't considered "actors". They are considered "participants". So they have no real rights, and no contracts in their own names. They are not even covered under child labor laws. The only place where the kids might be protected is California. That is why you will almost never see a reality show with minor children in California. All this came out during the Kate Plus 8 disaster. When people began questioning Jon Gosselin's claims that his kids were being filmed constantly. Jill and Jinger both appear to be using some form of birth control, since neither has had any more kids in a while. They are also both wearing pants and messing with their hair. I'm thinking both of them have husbands who are sick of Jim Bob and his ridiculous rules. I do feel bad for their kids though, because they may not get as much time playing with their cousins. Israel and Spurgeon seemed really close in videos posted on Instagram by Jessa. But Jinger is still being tolerated, while Jill is just cut off. Maybe Jeremy plays along more because they need whatever money they can get?
  19. Is Derrick working, or is he just a full time student in law school? From social media, it doesn't seem like he works. But how is that possible if it's true that they were poor and not being properly paid by Jim Bob or TLC? If their medical bills were so high, how come nobody got a job? I remember one of the Duggar girls saying several years ago that they weren't allowed to go to Cousin Amy's house alone. Like she was a crackhead or a whore or something. Ridiculous. I do believe that Jim Bob rules with an iron fist, and I believe there are reasons why Jeremy won't live in Arkansas. But I agree with everyone that Derrick's story keeps shifting. You have to be pretty stupid to believe that TLC was running a volunteer ministry with 19 Kids and Counting.
  20. Once most/all of the kids are gone, are they still going to cook multiple dinners so they don't have to eat together?? What's the point of multiple kitchens when the kids are grown up? I think Maddy is correct from last season, and Flagstaff is just one more stop in them moving all around.
  21. Aren't all of the wives except Robyn (and maybe Christine) within 10 years of being an empty nester? And Christine only really has Truely. All her other kids are teenagers (if I am recalling correctly). Eventually, they will need maybe two houses with 3 to 4 bedrooms each. Two wives in each house, plus a kid or two if they choose to live at home. And I'm still trying to figure out what was so bad about Las Vegas. It's not like they were living in the ghettos of Camden, NJ. They were in a very nice suburb. The Las Vegas strip, like any city, is going to have crime. And mass shootings can happen anywhere. And it doesn't sound like any of the kids except Robyn's have any intention of staying in Flagstaff once they graduate high school.
  22. Have they started to build on Coyote Pass yet?? From their Instagrams, it doesn't look like it.
  23. I guess this is where Jon is getting the money for the fancy vacation and the Eagles tickets. Jon and Kate are two peas in a very sick famewhore pod. He's no better than she is. He is taking her money, but I'm guessing he is not helping Cara or Mady with college expenses. And if I remember correctly, Jon didn't pay a dime of child support for years. And I still recall when Jon was on Couples Therapy with his last girlfriend, and he got in trouble for masturbating under a blanket on camera. Father of the Year.
  24. I don't think Michael wants her to know she has any power. The whole point of marrying a child who doesn't understand how things work in your country is to retain power. If Juliana realizes that she can speak up, then Michael (and his ex-wife) can't control everything anymore.
  25. Juliana is a Sugar Baby, and he is smart enough to know he was buying her, and that she wouldn't be with him if he wasn't rich. So now he has to pay for her. She will bail when the green card comes, because life in Greenwich with the ex-wife as a buddy is going to be really boring long-term.
