I was waiting for someone to tell Maggie off for being pissed at Kiki for telling KIKI'S story. Yeah, it's not just about the medicine. Kiki's story was about her experience as a patient, that was absolutely her story to tell, no matter how poorly written (that's up to the editor). If Maggie wanted she could write a medical journal article on the medicine in Kiki's case. But Kiki was NOT telling Maggie's story and erasing her.

I'm glad the show runners appear to be wrapping things up to the happy ending and quitting the push/pull with Lena and Martin. The first scene in the saloon with Martin almost felt like a daydream sequence, I wasn't expecting them to get back together until the finale. Glad to see their hand came together at the end and not apart. Maybe the twist will be that Lisa Apple's baby isn't Martin's, but with the turtles at the end that doesn't seem to be what they're hinting.

They also matched up the dark spot on her eye (I presume with a contact). Cheers for the tiniest of details!

Right but my point is, that's not something she can improve upon by seeking out Chidi's help and studying moral philosophy.

A big hole in this plan is that this blogger guy is both TERRIBLE and under the impression that he actually belongs there. The whole reason Eleanor realized she didn't belong was because Michael suggested she took "real Eleanor Shellstrop"'s place. That's what motivated her to seek out Chidi's help and improve herself. Without that external pressure, the 4 humans aren't going to change or suddenly decide to seek moral philosophy lessons. Also what is Simone supposed to improve on? She seems dead-on awesome.

This week's episode was much improved by the absence of the kids.

We finally see that Martin actually has a job, though it's still unclear what he does. Lena's Russian was completely incomprehensible.

It totally happens. Girls are starting their periods earlier than they used to, and additionally, black girls on average get their periods younger than white girls. Anecdotally, I was 9 when I started my period.

Worth noting, the guy who plays Matt (Daniel Cosgrove) came from the soap opera school of acting. I remembered him at the time as Scott Chandler on All My Children. I guess 90210 didn't give him his big break, because he went back to the soaps after, including AMC, Guiding Light, As the World Turns, AND Days of Our Lives (dang). Most interesting (to me) is that his first credit is the delightful Jennifer Aniston/Paul Rudd 1998 movie, The Object of My Affection.

It has already been explained, but basically semen ripens the cervix, so it can soften/efface. Not an old wives tale, it's legit. But it's not like you have sex and go into labor 6 hours later as a result.

Let's face it, even if she hadn't been shot in the babymaker, she still probably wouldn't have had a baby since Fred's almost certainly infertile.

Do Martin or Lena have jobs? There have been casual references to coworkers but we never get any indications of either of them working...I had assumed that Lena was a SAHM but Martin is also just like, always around...

No, like I said, if you don't have a passport of any kind, a re-entry permit can serve as a substitute for a passport document (and you have visas in it for the countries you're visiting). Source: I came to the US as a refugee and became a permanent resident but had no passport from my home country because it no longer existed. I traveled to Europe on a high school trip and since I had no passport and wasn't a citizen, I used a re-entry permit in this manner.
