  1. Maci and Taylor bought their current home when Maci was still pregnant with Jayde. I'm not good at math, but they've only been living there for, what, over a year or so? It looks like a decently-sized house that can easily fit five people plus two dogs. Maci has pulled this shit before. Newly pregnant? Let's buy a house! Newly pregnant? Let's quit my job and school! She's such a loser. And to think that people thought she had potential. i think that Maverick may have FAS and that's why Maci and Taylor haven't pimped out his photos yet like they did with Jayde. He's a few months old now---you'd think his photos would be plastered all over the tabloids in the supermarket checkout lanes. So either he has FAS and Maci doesn't want people to know, or people weren't offering to pony up the big bucks for his pictures.
  2. So on Twitter, Cate claimed that she used the Post-It note to cover up her cigarette smoking even though (as another user pointed out) she told Dr. Drew that she doesn't smoke cigarettes. She and Tyler are slipping up hardcore and can't even keep their lies straight, especially when there's photographic and filmed evidence that they're lying. It's just pathetic now. As for the whole contact thing...I also wondered if maybe C&T are actively trying to push B&T into closing the adoption. I think Catelynn genuinely appreciates the relationship she has with Brandon, Teresa, and Carly, but I also think the contact kills her. She's always highly upset and emotional both before and after their visits, and is reeling for days after. I think Nova's presence is making it harder for Cate to see Carly and she may be better off if the adoption is closed until Carly reaches the age where she can decide for herself if she wants to pursue a relationship with her birth parents. It's not like Carly will be left wondering who her birth parents are--they've left her a very public TV series detailing who they are, where they came from, and why they gave her up. She's in a very unique position as an adoptee.
  3. Catelynn and Tyler act like platonic roommates who had a couple flings in the past rather than a married couple who enjoy sex on the regular. There is no chemistry between them whatsoever. Cate is a depressed lump and Tyler is barely holding back on how much he dislikes her. He must've been relieved when she decided to go away...until he realized he got saddled with being an actual father to his daughter.
  4. The article wasn't bad, but the comments were brutal, especially the one idiot who said that Brandon and Teresa should give Carly back just to see how C&T feel. Fuck that noise. They LEGALLY ADOPTED Carly! They cannot give her back, even if they wanted to, because that window of time has closed. And why should they give her back? It may be harsh to say, but it's not Brandon and Teresa's fault that C&T are still struggling with the adoption seven years later. They weren't the ones who lied to Catelynn and Tyler about having Carly for summer vacations and having the grandparents and aunts and uncles all visit her. That was all on Dawn and Bethany for lying to C&T so they would relinquish their child. Hell, you can even shift some of the blame over to Tyler for pushing Catelynn into giving up Carly when she wasn't 100% comfortable with their decision. She was having second thoughts about the adoption, and instead of reminding her why they decided giving up their baby was the best thing to do, Tyler just threatened to leave Cate to raise Carly as a single mother. Maybe he is going through the five stages of grief as the article writer suggests, or maybe he's realizing that his gravy train is ending and lashed out. Either or. I love how the commentators make Brandon and Teresa out to be the bad guys even after the article writer agrees that their decision to pull Carly out of filming and request that their convos go unrecorded wasn't unreasonable. It honestly doesn't matter who adopted Carly; Tyker would still have a problem with that couple and a good portion of anti-adoption morons would still label them villains for keeping Carly away from her ~true parents~. I almost wish I hadn't read that article, or at least the comments. They never fail to piss me off.
  5. Amber doesn't cook for Leah. Remember, Leah told Gary that Amber sleeps in bed too much so that Matt has to cook her meals instead. There's no way Amber would even attempt to put together a meal for her daughter. She'd probably feed Matt's drug addicted son before she feeds Leah.
  6. Do Catelynn and Tyler still do adoption talks for Bethany? If not, then there goes what little bit of income they had coming that isn't associated with MTV. I can't imagine their doing any more talks, or very little compared to how many they were doing in the beginning. The story is seven years old now, and most people know what happened. So not only can they not discuss the adoption in detail on the show anymore, but C&T are probably not able to do much speeches because it's old news by this point. They're finding out the hard way that even though the adoption will always be a part of their lives, it's not really a part of the public's and people are getting tired of it. Their days are numbered.
  7. I'm still sort of surprised that Cate decided to smoke pot on camera, knowing that Brandon and Teresa watch the show (or at least keep up with it enough so they can monitor whether C&T are breaking their rules), after freaking out over the possibility of losing contact with them and Carly. Even if they weren't hardcore Christians, I don't think B&T would be so cool with the fact that their daughter's birth mother is getting high while driving and that her birth father is asking where the roaches are in their gross home while her birth sister is running around unattended. They can't do anything about C&T smoking weed in the privacy of their own home, but Cate and Ty advertising their pothead tendencies wasn't a smart move. I'm guessing that C&T had no idea that MTV would include this footage and that may be why they thought just covering up the dashboard cameras was enough. This may also be why Catelynn chose not to watch this season; underneath all her Instagram swagger and Bob Marley boasting, she's still a sensitive person who's deeply embarrassed of her recent actions and decisions. She may also have realized that B&T would most likely see those episodes or at least read about them, and could have some big questions about how much contact she and Tyler can have with Carly now. Cate has potentially screwed herself over in several different ways, and she knows it.
  8. I read the recap of last night's episode, and the writer pointed out something I never noticed until now. Nova really doesn't have any sort of facial expressions, does she? She never seems happy or excited about anything. Her face is always blank and neutral. I know we only see a small snippet of these peoples' lives, and I don't have any kids, but shouldn't she be smiling, laughing, doing something? Sure, Catelynn and Tyler have posted photos of Nova smiling, but I don't know. My guess is that between her depressed mother, lazy father, and the fact that she's being shuffled between several peoples' houses three or four times a week, she's not getting a lot of stimulation. Or maybe I'm overthinking this because, again, I don't have any children.
  9. So is he basically admitting that being on MTV is his job and he has no intention of going to school or working towards a real career? Both of them are going off the deep end.
  10. I'm kind of surprised they're getting so many negative comments. Cate and Ty seem like people who delete any and all criticisms and then brag about how the ~haters~ are too scared or something to come forward.
  11. He's using Photoshop to make his eyes look lighter and brighter.
  12. I have seen some photos of Carly a couple years ago (around the time when B&T started restricting what C&T could post on social media), and she is the spitting image of Catelynn. She has Cate's facial features, Cate's hair color, and the patented Lowell five-head. Nova looks like Cate, too. They may bear some resemblance to Tyler, but they both favor Catelynn. What's interesting is that Carly used to look like Tyler when she was a toddler, whereas Nova came out of the womb looking just like Cate's twin.
  13. I don't smoke pot and I'm not on any kind of medication, so I don't know which one is better for Catelynn. But it's something that she needs to work through. Smoking weed even after being told that it counteracts her antidepressants along with Tyler urging Cate to wean herself off her meds aren't good signs. I doubt she can do both because, like I said before, the weed and the medication don't mix and probably leave her feeling worse than if she was on one or the other. The driving while high is crazy, though, and illegal as all hell. I guess she covered the camera so she can argue that she was smoking cigarettes if she ever gets in trouble for it. As I've said before, she should cut back on toking up on camera so that she won't get in trouble with Brandon and Teresa. They only film once or twice a month, and they surely know when the producers are coming over. But here they are, smoking weed while driving and asking each other where the roaches are. They really do think they're infallible.
  14. Maci's mom was the true champion of tonight's episode. I loved how she seemed more excited about the friends' potential bridesmaids' dresses than she did about anything Maci put on. I don't know if she was displeased with being filmed, displeased with her daughter's stupidity, or both, but it was great. You could cut the tension between Maci and Sharon with a knife.
  15. Catelynn just shared an in instagram post defending her pothead tendencies with a Bob Marley quote. If she wants to smoke, that's all fine and good, but most people have a problem with it because she's toking up WHILE DRIVING. The sweatshirt and Post-It note don't hide it, Cate. She's still an idiot for blazing it on TV for two reasons; pot is illegal in Michigan, and she's broadcasting it to Brandon and Teresa---the two people she's desperate to appease in order to see Carly. Maybe this will convince them to restrict even more access lest they risk Carly interacting with Cate and Tyler after they've hit the bong one two many times before a visit. I know they feel for Catelynn, but their sympathy can only go so far. Also, Cate and Ty are showing Carly how dysfunctional and chaotic her life would've been like if they had kept her. I know we don;t know how Carly will ultimately feel towards her birth parents, but this show is really making it easy for her to not want anything to do with them or their families. I mean, birth mom smoking weed while driving? Birth father ranting and raving like a lunatic? Birth sister completely unattended? Nobody could blame Carly if she wanted nothing to do with her bio family if they don't change their behavior and soon. Also, I agree with @ghoulina that something huge happened to make Catelynn decide to go to Arizona. Something that we were not privy to see. I bet that Tyler really let her have it after he finally saw the pig and it just broke her completely. He was sitting in the chair when Cate was crying to the producer, not saying anything but looking at them very intently, almost as if he was making sure that Catelynn wouldn't spill the beans about his involvement. He has a very controlling nature. It was pretty uncomfortable, honestly. And I loved how neither Carly nor the adoption were mentioned in this episode after Tyler went on and on last week about not silencing his voice. Dude stuck his tail between his legs and went after an easier target instead---Catelynn.
  16. She was probably too high to do anything. She's so out of it this season. She admitted on twitter that she won't be watching these episodes because it was such a tough time of her life. Yeah, no kidding.
  17. I was actually uncomfortable watching this episode at several points. I always say that this show is on its last legs, but if MTV really gave a rat's ass about these people and their kids, they would end it once and for all. Maybe revisit them once every year or so, but cut the cord on consistent filming. I don't know how irreparably damaged everyone is, but it's fairly obvious they're all emotionally immature and stunted.
  18. Man, that picture of Catelynn in the article is awful. She looks like something is wrong with her between the sores on her face, the sunken-in eyes, the greasy hair, and that weirdo expression. Yeesh.
  19. This episode is awful. It really highlights how emotionally stunted these people are. Catelynn's getting high while driving, she and Amber are dropping thousands of dollars on pets and pet supplies on a whim, Farrah is having these crying jags and calling her own daughter stupid, and Maci's still trying to pretend she had no idea she was pregnant while looking like she's ready to go into labor at any second. Now Catelynn's sister has the pig. Chances are we'll never see it again.
  20. Tyler did go to Louisiana for some "acting classes" with "an older man" of dubious intentions. So I guess that counts even though C&T never bring it up and apparently want to forget it ever happened.
  21. Catelynn looks like the last thing she wants to do is take a photo. I can see Tyler browbeating her into posing for the photo so he can do damage control after all the criticism he got for insulting her and treating her like garbage. That's classic Tyler---he'll only bust out the nice tweets and photos after he's gotten considerable heat for something stupid he said or did.
  22. I still remember when she would try to call Ryan out for partying all the time when she constantly had black Xs on her hands from going out clubbing herself. The Xs were to indicate to bartenders that she was not of drinking age. She was always partying it up in the beginning; it's just that she was much younger and had a better edit back in the day so people were more likely to forgive her.
  23. Ginger's last binger? Please. Having two kids already didn't stop Maci from drinking excessively and acting like some frat bro. Hell, being pregnant didn't stop her from drinking. Who's she trying to kid? She'll be getting hammered at her wedding and forever and ever.
  24. Okay, so for whatever reason, every time I try to post this Instragram pops up and I can't get rid of it. But I just wanted to say that, yes, Tyler totally looks up his ~inspirational quotes~. I'm also convinced his wedding vows were not his own and he ripped them off the internet at the last minute. There's no way he could've thought of nice things to say to Catelynn on his own. He dislikes her too much.
  25. Tyler is such full of shit that it's coming out of his ears. He posted this Instagram earlier deriding the ~haters~ for being unoriginal. Whoever told him that a spit curl and pubic-hair goatee were a good combo? And it's fairly obvious he's lightening his eyes; I don't think they're that light on the show. Oh, Tyler. It's hard to be smoldering when you look like, well, you.
