Affairs and More Affairs: The Series As a Whole & Speculation for the End

I am very late to this affair but I started watching it and it took me only a few episodes to jump into hate watch. 

The show is very bad. It is arrogant and almost every time a character engages in a monologue-type thing, it is just platitudes. The words make no sense at all. If I were to take notes, I could write a novel about how bad the show is.

Some scenes in the second season (I think) are pure pornography. I don't need a close up of a man digging his hands inside his pants, or inside the woman's pants. I don't need all that sex that lack sensuality. All the characters are sex driven, all seem to be fixed, or vented, through sex. It is annoying and it looses the meaning really fast. Sensuality does't need naked bodies and all the jumping and panting. The creator wanted to "go further" on something. To me it is pornography, it is ugly and it lasts way too long.

I think we are supposed to hate everyone? I do. Alison is pathetic. A child. Can't see her a a mother. Noah is an ass. I wish they all had died soon. Helen and her brood love to scream at each other, in public. I thought Luisa was going to be ok, she became a cliche pretty fast. Cole's family are just a bunch of horrible people. 

The writing is so inconsistent, each episode gives the character a completely different personality - I am on season 3 now and cannot say how many Noahs are there. It is like watching a bad version of Sybil 

The actors: cannot see the appeal of "Noah" as attractive in any way. To me, he is repulsive. Sorry, can't even look at him without making a face of disgust. Eyes of the beholder

"Helen" and "Alison" have the same pouting mouth. It took me a while to figure out what was distracting to me, in their faces. Specially Ruth Wilson. The oversized upper lip. the mouth often slightly open, she is Marge Simpson, a cartoon. Sorry again. It distracts me.

Julia Goldani cannot act. She can scream, for sure. She can be overdramatic, but that's not acting. 

For the little I saw about the creator of the show, she should tried another career.

It's been quite some time since I watched this, but I did mention that - no one on this show ever had healthy, pleasurable sex enjoyed by both. If they did, I can't remember it.

Well, that was deliberate in this series. It switches back and forth between the POV of the various characters, i.e. Noah saw Alison as a siren-like sexpot, but Alison saw herself as a sad little frump.  Noah saw himself as a great human being, highly desirable to every woman he met, while others saw him as a total jerk. The way it was presented left us without anyone to root for.

They all saw the events differently as well, and one of my complaints was that we never had any way of knowing what actually happened.

The whole series certainly had its ups and downs (no pun intended).
But that last episode...that was classic.
