maraleia June 19, 2014 Share June 19, 2014 The cast members and executive producers of "Under the Dome" are interviewed in a special one-hour event that features highlights from the first season of the series and presents an exclusive sneak peek at the season two debut. Link to comment
izabella June 27, 2014 Share June 27, 2014 Oh, that brought all the incredible stupid of Chester's Mill rushing back! I hope Angie gets to keep her shoes on this season. Link to comment
Desperately Random June 27, 2014 Share June 27, 2014 I couldn't bring myself to watch the highlights. I was worried that if I had too much of season one's stupidity (I mean highlights) coming at me for an hour I might not tune in for next weeks episode. 1 Link to comment

opus June 27, 2014 Share June 27, 2014 The recap did remind me of one of my favorite lines last season: Julia to Barbie-"Fine, you killed my husband. But nothing else from here on, OK?" 1 Link to comment
Desperately Random June 27, 2014 Share June 27, 2014 It helps to view it as a comedy of errors. It sure does. I know that after a few episodes I realized that I was watching another show like The Following, A series that presented itself as a drama but was actually an unintentional comedy. Although I have to say that The Following does it better. Ryan, Mike and Max may be the worst cops ever but I care about what happens to them and I want them to stay safe. UTD needs to make me care more about the characters. I'm still going to laugh at their stupidity but I should be also be rooting for them to get out of that dome. At this point, I'm kind of rooting for the dome to kick some serious ass.and shake up the idiot population of Chesters..Mill. Link to comment
bmoore4026 June 27, 2014 Share June 27, 2014 http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/EightDeadlyWords The producers, writers, directors, and actors of this show and, indeed, any medium really need to get acquainted with this trope. By studying this trope, you could look back on what went wrong previously and look to remedy rather than expand. The "Eight Deadly Words" are the kiss of death. It should be studied in colleges and universities on how to avoid this. Under the Dome, unfortunately, may have already crossed that threshold. Which is damn shame because, as I've said before, Dean Norris is acting his heart out and Mike (Hottie McHotterton) Vogel is a very lovely man and needs to be in more things. Hopefully, they'll beat the shit out of their agents. 1 Link to comment
Blue Plastic June 29, 2014 Share June 29, 2014 I hadn't been going to watch this because I normally don't care for "review" episodes, but I finally caved and looked at it the other night. It did get me back up to speed, but is that really a good thing? It reminded me of more of the stupidity that was season 1, including the fact that Julia's late husband was THE only doctor in town. This also means that there were no doctors assigned to be on site at the hospital because all the others (there must have been some others, right?) were outside Chester's Mill AND Julia's husband was busy getting killed by Barbie. And then the show adds insult to injury by having Barbie be the one to save Julia from her deadly gunshot wound by inserting a chest tube fashioned from the insides of a ballpoint pen. Seriously? I knew this show was stupid but I guess I had blocked out that particular nuttery and pasted over it with the awesomeness that was Big Jim shooting Maxine. Link to comment

Seriously? What? It works when someone's throat closes up and they need a new breath opening. And it's so simple, too! Link to comment
Johnny Dollar June 30, 2014 Share June 30, 2014 I can't wait for this crapfest to start tonight. I've been suffering from Laughably Bad TV Withdrawal (LBTVW) since The Following ended. This is what makes this show so special: Stephen King asked if he could write an episode, and the show runners said OK. He asked them "So how is the story arc from last year's cliffhanger going to play out?" Naturally, they replied "We have no idea." That summarizes the "monkeys with typewriters" feel of this show perfectly. Link to comment
