TudorQueen June 1, 2014 Share June 1, 2014 I liked them during their original season, but really loved them during All-Stars. Without actually being able to see how they came across on tv the first time, they improved their behavior (no more stupid lying!) and attitude just from the experience of interacting with the other racers, and perhaps production. I especially loved how they didn't take game play personally - when they were U-turned they accepted it as a legit game strategy, overcame it, and even found a way to be proud of having survived the U-turn multiple times, seeing it as a challenge rather than an insult or a punishment. Plus Jamal is seriously cute. 3 Link to comment
AncientNewbie June 10, 2014 Share June 10, 2014 They really did grow on me. I didn't like how they wanted to hug everyone, but they always seemed to be having fun and not taking themselves too seriously. That's what I like in my racers. Link to comment
auntlada June 11, 2014 Share June 11, 2014 They were the odd team that was better the second time around for me. Usually I think teams (or general contestants on other shows) are worse when they come back. They always seem to accentuate their character traits that bugged the first time. Leo and Jamal toned down most of theirs, however. Actually, now that I think of it, TAR is one of the few shows where lots of second-timers (and third) seem to learn something from their first race and try to be not just better racers, but better people. kaygeeret June 24, 2014 Share June 24, 2014 Agree with you all, I liked them much better this time around. I especially liked that they understood that everything was strategy. They were friendly and helpful when they thought it would benefit them, but they were never seduced into the "high Drama" Dave and Connor produced after the horror of the UTurn. Geesch, I wound up really appreciating Leo/Jamal during the rest of the season. To me, they were the only acceptable winners. They did do themselves in tho'. I admit to turning the final off when it became clear that daddy and sonny boy were the winners. Link to comment

Adeejay January 5, 2015 Share January 5, 2015 On New Year's day, I saw Jamal and a female companion walking through the Cosmo hotel and casino in Las Vegas. At first I thought it was Kaiser from Big Brother, but my daughter pointed out that Kaiser is taller and better looking. 1 Link to comment
