Star Trek: Lower Decks' Final Season Gets a New Trailer and Two-Episode Premiere Date
...

Star Trek: Lower Decks is ending after its next season, and Paramount+ released a new trailer for the animated series at SDCC. Furthermore, it was revealed that this fifth and final season will debut on Thursday, October 24, with two episodes. After that, a new episode will drop each week until the finale airs on Thursday, December 19.

As for what Season 5 will be about, Paramount+ has shared a bit about what fans can expect.

"In season five of STAR TREK: LOWER DECKS, the crew of the U.S.S. Cerritos is tasked with closing 'space potholes' - subspace rifts which are causing chaos in the Alpha Quadrant," the official description reads. "Pothole duty would be easy for Jr. Officers Mariner, Boimler, Tendi and Rutherford...if they didn’t also have to deal with an Orion war, furious Klingons, diplomatic catastrophes, murder mysteries and scariest of all: their own career aspirations. This upcoming season on Paramount+ is a celebration of this underdog crew who are dangerously close to being promoted out of the lower decks and into strange new Starfleet roles."

There's a Lower Decks mobile game on both Apple and Android.   Premise is a previous version of Badgey has trapped the crew in the holodeck and is running them through events in the Starfleet Archives.  (Meaning that the levels are loosely based on episodes from any/every Trek series.)

There's also a special event happening this month: a crossover with Doctor Who.  Which is also happening the Doctor Who moblie game from the same developers.

Yes, I've been playing the game for a few months now. The stories in the episodes (what they call chapters) are true to the show. The show's writing staff reviews the scrips and according to a member of the game's customer service team the show's writing team has said they are like episodes. It's an idle game and didn't have a lot of instructions of how to play off the bat but I quite enjoy it now that I've accepted that gathering resources means the chapters take a couple of days to play but it's now created it's own story within the story which doesn't contradict the show but is funny as hell.

People keep getting trapped in the holodeck and the events mean you can win cards from characters across ST. During Disco's final season you could get their characters, then I got characters from SNW and classic Trek, as well as things like games and tricorders. It's a lot of fun once you get patient.

I love seeing the characters. I don’t play a lot of games, so ‘idle game’ is a new concept. Beta Badgey!
